Fun place to spend one hour or more. We went during the week and there were really few people inside. It was great to have the 4D movie theater just for us.

The family took an Thursday afternoon outing with the little ones to Ripleys (Williamsburg, VA)and the amazement of their first time visit was priceless. There were not many people at all this day and moving freely about was comfortable. There attractions were fun, as always, but they show these 4D movies that were so absolutely over the top. You experience the 3Dness with the glasses, but 4D you feel elevating the viewing experience. I was laughing so hard and screaming so loud! Simply the best. And...the rolling wheel you walk across with the laser lights moving at the same time had all of us balling with laughter. Such an awesome place for clean family fun.

This was awesome!! My family & I had a great time! Very informational. Loved the fact that there were different sections with information to offer. We also really enjoyed the games throughout the place. The staff was very accommodating and they were cleaning the exhibits in case people had touched them... very important during this pandemic. Overall, a time well spent!!

As a fan of learning about the weird and wonderful, this is a great place to burn an hour or two wandering around and arguing with your friends/family. Theres some stuff in here that does make you truly appreciate how different we all are and the things that a human can do when we decide to.

Great museum and good short films. A little pricey. No separate price for children and unable to use coupons since I confirmed I was an in-state resident although I traveled almost 2 hours to visit Williamsburg.

Good for adults and older kids. My young children (3, 4, & 7) did not enjoy it. The oldest was scared by many of the exhibits; the younger two were disinterested in most of it. Some of the exhibits were a little graphic. My opinion was that this was NOT young child friendly. The staff was friendly and helpful. We did not do the theater shows, so I cannot speak to those.

I had so much fun here. Expected to only spend 30 mins or so seeing as though it’s small on the outside but we were there almost 2 hours just exploring. The movie tickets that come with your tour are good for a year. Highly recommend for people or all ages. Will be back soon

The museum is awesome. 4D Lego experience was very fun and interactive. You get wet! The laser maze is fun...its like Mission Impossible with green lasers. The best part was Atomic Rush. Its like a black light room and a giant game of Simon Says...sort of. I almost smacked my son Brandon in the face, Brandon and Alaina collided into each other. Michael tripped into me...you run around like a maniac in the dark trying to hit all of your lit up lights. Its so fun! Definitely recommend...the staff were also extremely helpful and nice. Dont forget to buy some souvenirs too. We got shirts. Gotta check it out. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

It was okay. My son was more interested in the interactive activities than the actual museum. Definitely not worth the price but its a tourist trap so I can get it. We live in the area and just wanted to try something we hadnt. The putt putt golf was run down, mosquitoes were terrible from stagnant water and overall a bummer.

Review №29

Im always pleasantly surprised by Ripleys...but this one has been my favorite out of the 4 (NY, LA, Orlando, & Ocean City Beach, MD) I have visited previously. There is so much to be in awe of and the pictures I have included arent even 1/10th of what you will see. There are so many games and activities that are included with the cost of admission and the few things that werent cost .50 cents to a $1 and had coin machines near them.We even enjoyed the 4D movie here more than other places we have been. They were showing the Lego movie 4D and Happy Family 4D. The movie is included also in the cost of admission ($24.95 for adults, $19.95 children) and you can add the other movie for $3 extra. They have a candy shop adjacent to Ripleys that you automatically go through once you exit the movie. Its $3.00 per 1/4 pound and although its quite small, they had a pretty good selection. Also, there is a mini golf that is a part of this Ripleys called Catfish Cove, yet when we asked to have that included (an extra $7 per person), we were informed that its only from Thursday through the weekend and we were there on a Tuesday. The only negatives to this particular Ripleys was that the restrooms for both men and women werent clean...and on a Tuesday, it was eerily quiet, yet that can be a good thing for those of you who dont like crowds and who like to take your time going through the displays. Its just so much fun here though, there were a lot of Ooohs, Aaahs & Wows... so regardless of the Eww in the restrooms, Ripleys should definitely be a part of your Williamsburg trip.

Fun family outing. Has some good exhibits and is definitely interesting. Not all the exhibits or games are in the beat of shape, and some were out of order completely. Its definitely not as good as some of the larger Ripleys Ive been to, but it was still a fun way to spend a couple hours and was reasonably prices.Overall I would recommend it if you are looking for something out of the norm to do on a rainy day.

Ripleys Believe-It-or-Not Museum in Williamsburg offers a variety of activities. Options include the Odditorium (museum filled with odd exhibits that Mr. Ripley collected from around the world), miniature golf course, and a 4-D Theater. You may purchase individual tickets or a combo pass to save some money. Check Groupon to see Ripleys latest deals.I visited the Odditorium which contains approximately 350 exhibits of rare and strange things from around the world. Check out a replica of the worlds tallest man, a 2-headed calf, see what old, used car parts can be used for and much more.Ripleys offers a number of hands-on exhibits and games throughout the museum. Test your skill and speed through a laser obstacle.Admission prices seem a little high. Checkout their website for individual attraction and combo pass prices. Parking is free at Ripleys.Guests are welcome to touch any exhibit that is not enclosed or surrounded by a barricade. Guests are also welcome to take pictures throughout the museum.

Completely worthwhile!!! Something Ive actually dreamed about going and doing as a kid. Now Im 27 and have two of my own and we all loved it! and theres plenty for the whole family to enjoy! And not to mention a general store across the street! as well as so many restaurants and activities! Believe it or not!

So this place has some of everything you might imagine. This particular location is small however most of the exhibits youre allowed to interact with which is nice for kids. Little kids have a harder time paying attention as a lot of the attractions are above where they can see or have to be read. Id say this is an age 8+ friendly. The 4d movie is cool. Plan to get wet if u attend it. Prices are a little high but if you catch it on Groupon its totally worth it.

Okay, so you should go into this knowing its a bit of a tourist trap. Its slightly overpriced for what you get, but it is still a fun way to kill an hour. If I could give 3.5 stars I would. The 4D movie was probably the highlight (costs extra, is about 15 minutes) along with some of the final exhibits in the museum. Staff was fine, a bit grumpy, but it was Memorial day so they probably did not want to be there anyway.

It was very fun. I went with my two teenage boys, one 15 and one 17 and we had a blast! There are Bunches of little games to play as you go through and tons of interesting albeit strange artifacts. Watch out for the tunnel at the end if you have any kind of vertigo, you can avoid going through it if you want though its not necessary to leave. My favorite thing there had to be the extra large sized playable operation game. That was fun. We saw the 4d showing of happy family and it was fantastic, I look wish it was longer, took about 20 minutes in all, but I had a wonderful time and would totally recommend to anyone looking for some family fun or just something different.

Ripleys Believe it or not was ok. First off when you get there, there is guy outside sitting at a little information area right outside. He tells you about how there is this resort called Westgate that has been renovated recently and how all the rooms are named after dead presidents and how nice the place is etc. Then he continues with they also have timeshares there. He says If you go they pay you to go and then you have to go there for an hour where they show you the resort and then they will ask you if you want to continue. Anyways that was awkward. Not expecting that at Ripleys Believe it or not. The museum was ok. Do not think it is worth $17.00. With the 4d shows its 25. The museum had some cool things in there but most stuff in there were ok. Not mind-blowing. The 4d show was nice. Just wish it was a little longer but it was nice. The water scent, and seat effects were nice. Overall it was ok.
