Great events, big pool, good value. Book in newest section of building for quality. Reserve ropes course ahead of time, zoo takes 1 hour 20 minutes to walk without train, use trolly for rides for free between locations, great walking distance from lodge to pool.
What a round of golf. Pace of play was no issue, especially on the Jones course. Had The Great Bandini after playing the Palmer course and was quite impressed. Who knew fried bologna, fried egg and cheese went so well together. Must be a new sandwich, it was the first time the chef made it. Carts were also quick and speedy and clubhouse staff was great to deal with.
This resort presents a variety of courses with varying degrees of difficulty. The courses are well maintained and offers a challenge for all handicaps. If you are a golfer than this will be a challenge to conquer the terrain of these hilly courses.
An old school resort w good golf...3 18 hole tests and another par 3 test nearby. Very friendly folks man each course and good accomodations.
Great courses and fine accomodations. Made reservations for a group and had significant issues with the reservation staff.
Great pools and lots of things to do with the family on a beautiful summer day.
Good luck. Its really not that great here. Neither are most of the drunks playing
Rooms need to be updated other than that everyone was so friendly the food was good we had a great
Played Crispin on the 4th of July. I play there fairly often, but it was the first time I had been to that course this year... I prefer to play the Palmer Course at Oglebay (Mon-Thurs after 3pm is Twilight Rate, so u can play for $39 if u use their online booking system in their golf app). Anyways, the course was in pretty good shape. Fairways and greens were well manicured (as good as they get for Crispin). The greens were a bit slow and hard. There are a lot of hills, so if you prefer flat courses, this is not for you. Even the fairways are often quite sloped so you have to hit a lot of awkward shots even when your in the short stuff. Staff was friendly. All in all, for $35 prime time rate it is well worth it. Now, if you can golf in the afternoon during the week, definitely spend the few extra bucks and play Palmer (although Crispin is at least 10 or 15 bucks cheaper on weekdays- I believe its around $25 but not sure. Check out their website for pricing and be sure to download their app as it is handy for booking tee times, has GPS/range finder function for each course, and several other cool features I havent yet delved into. Also, they send you coupons through the app for free range balls, play free on ur b-day, $10 off, etc. Hope this helps. Hit em straight :-)
Tough but fun courses!
Had a great family reunion. Waitress at the restaurant wasnt very nice so I didnt eat. Went to the bar for my drinks the waiter there was great he got a 25% tip she didnt get anything. The rooms were very nice and clean and all the staff was very nice Ill go back again.
Great course, a little pricey but worth it
Palmer is nicer than jones
Beautiful course good price
Crispin golf is a challenge unless you dont mind your ball landing in the fairway then rolling down the hill across cart path and an additional 20 yards are added to your shot. A fun course with a lit if challenges
I work there.
Crispin course wasnt that nice but the two we play this week will be good
Pretty park but they pay their employees peanuts
Beautiful resort that is not over priced

Beautiful grounds. The rooms are dated but clean and spacious. Didnt go golfing but stayed on property for a conference. The Glass Works restaurant on property has good option and everything I had tasted good. The staff were friendly.

The place is very relaxing. The food fare a bit expensive. The entertainment very nice. The rooms were nice size.
An amazing family friendly resort and park with a zoo, lake, pool, spa, tennis courts, historic mansion, golf, and so much more. They have various events throughout the year- like the festival of lights. A gem of a place. Have heard its not the greatest place to work though
Cabins are clean and cozy
Great place and lots of wild life
Always a great place to golf!
Tremendous buddy golf trip location. 3 courses to play and cabins with which to stay right on the grounds. Its a bit of a dated property, but you get past that and youre golden.
