One of my favorite public courses in Chicagoland area. Has a private country club feel, solid course in all aspects.

I had Nikah (Islamic marriage) ceremony at Chevy Chase Country Club in their Devonshire room in December of 2018. My primary contact at Chevy Chase was Kelsi who was BEYOND phenomenal! Every step from booking, to planning, to the set up the day of the event went as smoothly as it possibly could have thanks to Kelsi and the other wonderful team members at Chevy Chase.The booking process was fairly straight forward. We went and looked at the spaced and discussed packages. Kelsi was nice enough to put our date on hold while we were still exploring our options.Approximately a month before the event date we also sent over our list of vendors as they do need to be registered at the venue. They do require all vendors, particularly caters, to be licensed and insured.The day of the event I arrived early to meet the decorator, make final adjustments on the setup, and to get my makeup done. The staff that oversaw the set up was incredibly nice and accommodating! I was going through usual wedding day jitters but they took care of everything without me having to lift a finger!I was able to get ready in their AMAZING bridal ready room. It was the perfect place for me to just sit and relax for a few minutes before getting back into the craziness of the day.Throughout the event, the staff was totally on schedule by putting the food out, cleaning up, and ultimately wrapping things up at the end of the night. They were always one step ahead and prepared for anything they came their way.The only piece of feedback I would give is I wish they were a bit more flexible with the days they allow for outside catering. As of right now, Chevy Chase only allows for outside catering on Sundays. I completely understand why this is the case; however, the flexibility would be nice. Indian/Pakistani events are always huge on food so we were unable to stick to the in house catering. Perhaps if they were able to partner with different kinds of vendors or expand their outside catering policy we could have more options. Again, I completely understand why the current policy is in place, it would just be nice to have the option.Overall, I would recommend anyone thinking of having their event at this venue to totally go for it with complete confidence that your event will go off without a hitch!

This is a well maintained golf course.The greens were in good shape the rough was fair. Over all we had an excellent experience.Earl

Pretty simple straight forward course. All except traps were in pretty good shape. Had a few spots of water damage. Pace of play good, limited amenities.

Chevy Chase Country Club is easily one of my favorite wedding venues.I had the pleasure of officiating a ceremony there recently and the grounds and facility looked great. This made for wedding photos my bride & groom will treasure forever. I look forward to working with CCCC again soon.

Very well kept course and the navigation system in the carts is such a luxury to have. Fair prices for a round as well.

Course in good shape. Played behind a very slow twosome. Would be good to invest in a marshall.

Love this course. The greens are true, the bunkers have sand. The course is clean and people friendly.

My husband and I got married at Chevy Chase August 24th of this year! We had our ceremony on the first tee and our reception in the Devonshire Room! I can not say enough about how amazing everything was! The first day we walked into the venue we fell in love! It is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is so laid back and so helpful. They made us feel so comfortable! We looked at a few other venues prior to this one and when we left Chevy Chase we could confidently say this was the one! JAN IS AMAZING!!!! She worked with us closely to coordinate everything. She is so patient and so kind and you can tell she really cares so much about her brides! She was always so prompt to answer any questions I had through the year of planning. She truly made the entire experience so easy and stress free! When the big day came the venue was decorated so beautifully! The food was so delicious! For the main course we had the chicken and sirloin combo plate with scalloped potatoes and carrots + zucchini. WOW! The bar tenders were phenomenal and our event manager Nate was great! He was very attentive and made sure everything went smoothly the entire night! I can not say enough good things about this place!! Thank you so much to the amazing staff at Chevy Chase!

A Good place for weekend golfers.

Course is pretty dry with a significant amount of dirt patches on the fairway.

Had our wedding reception here & everything was perfect! Jane & Johnathan went above & beyond to make our day PERFECT! Food was amazing, cake was delicious, our guests had an amazing time & we recieved so many compliments. I would highly recommend having your wedding here. I promise you wont regret it!!

Had our wedding ceremony on the patio and reception in the Grand Ballroom a couple weeks ago and it was a dream come true!! Jan was amazing throughout the entire planning process and Peter helped make things run smoothly the day of. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend this venue for all events.

Very dated decor and sometimes smells old, but does have vintage charm with the woodwork. Great outdoor patio grounds for live bands and entertaining.

Amazing course!

Chevy Chase CC did such an amazing job coordinating my wedding. The staff was so organized and professional. They planned everything perfectly! I couldnt have ask for a better venue. All my guests complimented me on how beautiful it was. The food was fantastic. I would recommend chevy chase cc 100× over again!-paulina

Cool venue, people are awesome especially Peter! Very flexible and knows what’s he’s doing. No amateur hour here. Also the golfers/other guest are very polite and respect privacy for weddings/events.

Went there twice for someones birthday party. Food is okay, although it seems like its gotten slightly worse 2nd time I went. I gave one star because of their beverage service. They put pop in one of those beverage dispensers which I thought it was super cheap move. It was watered down and had no carbonation. What is worse, when my friend dispensed Sprite out of it, there was unknown black particles flowing around. Clearly, mouth of dispenser was not cleaned properly. Coffee had coffee grounds flowing also.

They host great golf outings here. I have been to a number of them here.

This was probably the best New Years Eve party we have been to date at Chevy Chase. Just over 200 people, good band, efficient buffet. No line at the carving station. A good time!

Chevy Chase wasnt originally on our list of venues to consider, but Im so glad my mom suggested it. With a fairly recent renovation, the Devonshire room and its 2 walls of windows was a fabulous setting for our ceremony and reception. Please excuse me while I ramble about all the great things....Jan was fabulous in the planning process. She promptly answered my numerous questions, even when she was out of office. Given that wed never planned a wedding before, I appreciated her suggestions and advice. Cake and appetizers are included in the price. The bar selection is great. The chairs are really nice, so you dont need to pay extra to have them covered. Because our wedding was off-season we got some discounts and add-ons. The golf course and building exterior make an amazing photo backdrop. Nate, our banquet/facility manager, took care of all our random requests and specifics for where to put the decor and details we brought. In fact, all the staff we interacted with were personable and professional and helped make the day absolutely fabulous.

My husband and I just voted here and it was our 2not time here. I have never attended a function here but Im sure it would be very nice.

The food is bland, didnt care for it. Went there for a wedding and was disappointed the way they handled the whole process.

We just had our wedding in the Grand Ballroom a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING!!! The venue recently had face lift. The place has been completely remodeled and it unbelievable. If you havent been there in the last 6 months - you have to check it out.The staff at Chevy Chase is very helpful and responsive. Big shout out to Jan Berg, she made this whole wedding planning process as smooth as it could be. From day one when we booked til the day of the wedding, Jan, provided timeline suggestions, vendor recommendations, planing guides, etc. Shes a pleasure to work with and always greeted us with a smile. The staff made sure all of our questions were answered on a timely manner. On the day of the wedding, Jorge did a great job following up with us throughout the day to ensure everything was going according to my timeline.We had over 250 guests and til this day everyone cant stop talking about how great the customer service was, how beautiful the venue was and how everything was well organized through cocktail hour, dinner, and the rest of the night. I highly recommend this venue and I wish I can give them more stars as they are well deserved.The food is delicious, the venue is beautiful and best of all the location is great - near by restaurants, bars, hotels.

Played here for a golf outing and the course was in great condition and fairly reasonable for an average golfer. The bartenders were great as well.

Lovely event space for many occasions! Attending a wedding here and had access to a huge ballroom, patios, bar, lounge, dining room, etc. Elegant and classy yet not over the top. Service was excellent as was the entire ceremony. I would recommend this venue for a wedding, birthday, or other similar celebration.

As newly husband and wife we are so grateful to Chevy Chase CC, and especially Jan Berg, for making our wedding reception something truly spectacular. On our final meeting day we went through each and every detail of the day and each detail was fulfilled. If you are looking for a reception hall that has a great staff, spectacular food (filet mignon & champagne chicken), and unbelievable accommodations I would recommend Chevy Chase CC!

Beautiful place for an event! However, its not kid friendly. They do not have changing areas in the bathrooms nor do they do anything to accommodate for that.

Was invited for the 2019 Korean Purple Ball. Place was excellent. Staff were very friendly.

Fantastic staff and very clean facilities. The courses here are well maintained and quite beautiful in the fall.

Hosted several golf events there, and have always been treated wonderfully! Staff is accommodating, and our alums and guests love the course.

Food was outstanding. Wine was good. Service was very pleasent and friendly.

Cart path only on a 90 degree sunny and humid day. Course was dry so the decision made the round awful.

Five well earned stars for the staff of Chevy Chase Country Club. My wife and I had our wedding reception on 9/14/18 at the Devonshire Room and everything turned out perfect!From start to finish, Jan and Kelsi were on top of everything (and I do mean everything) in helping to coordinate every last detail to our liking. They were both incredibly responsive to any questions that we had and went out of their way to ensure that my wife and I had the best experience possible. Their hard work and attention to detail is evident and the end result was a beautifully executed event.Though we dont have any pictures to share (yet), the venue itself is gorgeous - lighting and acoustics were fantastic and we received a lot of compliments on the visual appeal of the Devonshire Room itself. Nate was our day-of/on-site coordinator and was equally on top of things to ensure that our reception went as planned and without a hitch. Food (chicken & beef sirloin duet plate) was great and we received a lot of positive feedback on the menu as well.I would recommend Chevy Chase Country Club as an affordable and great value venue for any couple looking to celebrate their big day in style. The venue itself checks just about every box, but it is the staff of CCCC that serve as the proverbial icing on the cake! We cannot thank Kelsi, Jan, Nate, and the entire CCCC team enough - our big day would not have been possible without their great work throughout. Cheers!

It has been unfrozen Chevy Chase country club is now updated. Wonderful staff, amenities, and the food is delicious. Always willing to go above and beyond. The golf course is fun and challenging. Thank You Wheeling park district for bringing a 5* place of recreation to wheeling.

Good grass and challenging course

Words cannot express how much I LOVED working with Chevy Chase Country Club for our wedding. From the first meeting with Jan, my now husband, and I knew CCCC was the choice for us.We got married August 18, 2018...a popular wedding day this year! We were initially planning for a fall wedding, but as soon as we heard they had an opening that day, we had to snatch it.The venue itself is beautiful, and the team at CCCC is just remarkable. Jan, the ring leader, made sure all of our needs were always met. Communication with the team was always a breeze, as they never missed a call or email. Responding so efficiently made us feel at ease as we planned our special day.Jon was our first hand in command during the day of. I felt bad because you can definitely tell he was running around EVERYWHERE to make sure EVERYTHING was perfect for us. Just shows how hardworking these people are.I seriously cannot say enough positive comments about this place. The food was amazing, I had some guests tell us that it was the best wedding meal they have ever had! We chose the salmon with dill sauce and the sirloin in a truffle sauce...YUM! My husband and I have been joking that we just want to go back and have dinner there sometime, it was just that good.Our wedding was out on the first tee, behind the Devonshire Room. Perfect place. Enough shade, beautiful background, easy to get to. We even had my dad drive me out in a golf cart...how fun and unique!We then had our reception inside the Devonshire Room. This room is absolutely stunning! We had about 160 guests and the room was able to accommodate everyone comfortably.Its been about almost 2 weeks since our wedding and I am still so starstruck by Chevy Chase Country Club. From the team, to the food, to everything...it was just absolutely perfect.Thank you, CCCC for making my day so magical. They are beyond amazing.

Ive attended several events at Chevy Chase; Corporate events, Weddings and Ceremonies. They have the most gorgeous rooms, clean restrooms, attentive staff and beautifully manicured grounds. You feel like youre on a resort when youre here and the food compliments the scenery. If you are planning an event here, talk to Jan Berg...she makes you feel at home, so easy to communicate with and very helpful. I appreciated her insight as im planning my wedding; while my budget is a lower than im capable to spend, I would definitely say it is worth every penny and very competitive for the area.

Chevy Chase is one of our favorite golf courses in the area. It is almost always in pristine condition, and has a great classical feel.The clubhouse is beautiful, and you can get on the course at a reasonable rate, especially at twilight. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a well maintained, traditional golf course.

Our DJ Company love the staff and facility for weddings and events. Just gorgeous here!

Great for corporate events

We had our wedding at Chevy Chase in September and we would highly recommend it!!! It was amazing! We were in the Devonshire room which is breathtaking. You cant beat the newly updated decor of the room. The windows looking out onto the course just put it over the top. And the fact that the room comes with Chivari chairs is huge and really makes such a difference making the reception look elegant and modern. Every other venue we looked at charged at minimum $10 per chair to upgrade, this is a huge cost savings! The patio was also amazing to have! Our guest spent the entire cocktail hour on the patio, it was gorgeous at sunset. We also put luminaries out at dark and our guest loved it! It was a great option for our guest who didnt like to dance to be able to sit and talk. The course itself is beautiful too! We took photos with my husband and I, our bridal party, and large family photos and it couldnt be a more beautiful backdrop.The food was incredible and we still have people telling us how good their meal was! Chef Oscar does an amazing job. We were so impressed when we went for our tasting which he also made a very special day. We brought along our parents and he truly made this a special dinner. The day of we were so happy, the food tasted just like it did on our tasting and it was amazing! We decided to add an ice cream bar to the night which was a huge hit! Everyone was really excited and it was a great break for everyone on the dance floor. We also at their suggestion served cake on a side table instead of passing it around to each table. We were so glad for this suggestion, everyone was able to snack on the cake throughout the night and many people were able to take multiple pieces!The staff is just incredible. Jan was so helpful and more than willing to answer all of our questions as we went through planning. She was highly organized and we fully trusted her that everything on the day of would be taken care of. She truly went above and beyond. I found out after the wedding, half of my family came to our cocktail hour an hour and a half early! The course and club room were not open on our wedding day and a few family members were quite huffy about this not being open. Jan swooped in and saved the day and got them drinks from the bar early. We couldnt be more thankful she took care of this situation for us. Our day of staff member Nick was fantastic and made everything go off without a hitch. The entire staff at Chevy Chase are experts and were able to offer great suggestions for logistics and made the timing of everything on the day of work seamlessly.All in all, wed have our reception at Chevy Chase again in a heartbeat!!! They are amazing!!! Thank you Jan, Nick and Chef Oscar!

The course is a bit rough, with flood damage after every heavy rain, lots of dead trees, and many ball marks and deformed cups. Nice enough layout.

Played a horrible round here, but thats not to blame the course. I like the layout, it was a bit challenging, but fun.
