Beautiful grounds to walk, bike, or run. Its really cool that they still have the half mile horse race track and starting gate from the original owner. It connects to Danada House through a tunnel that goes under Naperville Rd. It also connects to the trails in Herrick lake. Cool piece of history.

Great bike ride... good for all levels, including 6 year old on 16 inch bike. Not crowded and not deserted. Lake Herrick was beautiful that day... looked good for fishing too. Crushed limestone on the trail. Bit of uphill and downhill but nothing like Waterfall Glen!

Nice place. I stopped by when I saw billows of smoke rising off of Butterfield, and I just had to take a look. The photo I posted was about the best view I could get, I hope that everything was OK.

Lovely trails of over 5 miles with lake, forest and winds through equestrian center. Park either at equestrian center or plaza with Jimmy Johns/Chipotle and walk over. Downside is no direct entrance from Butterfield Road. Gorgeous trails though. Thanks, Dan and Ada Rice!

Went on a late fall day with few leaves left on the trees, so we were able to hear plenty of road noise at all times. Some decent views, saw some wildlife as well. Worth doing once on foot if youre in the area. You can smell the horse stables to the South when the wind is blowing. Parked on the shoulder of the road, which felt a little risky given the traffic going by. Id like to bike the route that connects all the other parks going west sometime.

My sister and I walked the trails & talked to some really beautiful horses. We packed a picnic lunch, sat in the shade enjoying the lush green trees, pastures and of course, The Horse....in all of its grandeur. We found out that there are over 100 volunteers here who do a wonderful job with the horses and the grounds.

Nice place to come and just relax, even if you don’t have horses or a fishing pole. Their Fall Fest in October has plenty of activities, including a visit via tractor-drawn hay wagon to their “antique” farm, with no tractors or implements newer than the 1970s.

This seems like a great place for equestrian and bicyclists, but it is not one of the greater trails in DuPage for hikers. I hiked some distance on their main trail with my dog before doubling back the way we came. There was little shade but there were a few neat detours through mowed paths (instead of the standard peat gravel). If, however, you have a horse - they have a large pasture with a practice race track, and I believe there are stables across the street.

Great forest preserve in Dupage County. They have long trails suitable for bikes and if you are willing to walk far enough it links up to nearby forest reserves like Herrick Lake. A great variety of nature from woods, to mashland, to prarie, and an area meant for horses.

Kind of a boring equestrian farm by wheaton college. the weirdest thing is I didnt see a horse anywhere. they were in the process of constructing a new building (september, 2018) when we visited. maybe when that building is done a horse will be on sight. interesting old farm implements and dairy building located here. pretty grounds and good photo ops. be sure to visit blackwell forest preserve when youre in this area.
