Sick Park! Great smooth construction! The playground and grass area are very nice for the kids and Moms while the skatepark is perfect for Dads and shredders of all sizes!
Great little park for our 3 year old. The Skatepark is awesome for all ages as well.
Lots of fun options for all ages of kids + skate park
Too many kids. No social distancing. And barely any mask. Be careful when you go
My baby always has fun in the fountain and wet sand area. My other son loves the skatepark so when we go both kids are happy. I also like that they have a little playground for toddlers where I don’t have to be petrified when my one year old climbs up it. They also have bathrooms at this park so it’s not just a gross porta potty. This is definitely one of our favorite parks to go to.
Love this place. My daughter loves to practice her gymnastic jumps
Fun for multi age and skill levels. Careful to time it when the gripey adult skateboarders arent there. They arent fond of children on scooters and will let the kids know if they do something that annoys them.
So much to do! Toddler and big kid playground, skate park, sand/water play area (bring a swim suit for ages under 3, lol) a parkour area! And just a nice big field and a beautiful view of the foothills!
This is one of the best community parks Ive been to. There are lots of places to sit and walk around. Theres a wide range of activities to do such as skateboarding, soccer, and more. There are two big play areas for kids that feature great equipment and its good for hosting parties. Im lucky to live so close to it.
Clean, well maintained, easily accessible. Great for kids of all ages.
Wide assortment of play structures for different ages plus skate park. Restrooms and picnic tables
Great park for kids and parents...just watch that first hill on the skate park its a doozer...this papa couldnt handle it but my 2 yr old grandson showed me how.
Nice park. Well maintained. Excellent walking path, plenty of grass area for meditation/yoga, covered picnic tables for gathering together, skate park, childrens play area, restrooms. There are also 3 pokestops and a Pokémon gym here.
Great skatepark, friendly vibes, and super smooth transitions.
Great for kids of all ages.
Nice park for all ages
Great playground, splash pad was closed
I always bring the boys to this park to ride scooters when we visit. It is a safe place to be. There is a nice playground for smaller kids. There are restrooms and water fountains on site if needed. This is a great park for scooters and skaters.
I love this park, especially for summer but man, there are some kids that really should have their parents around. One in particular is there often, his parents rarely interact with him and he (Im guessing about 8 or 9) loves to bully my 2 year old and any other small child that dares to play near him.
Super fun skate park
Very nice park. Lots to do. Good for kids of any age. Picnic tables in shaded areas for lunch. Highly recommend.
Nice clean playground. Very family focused
Nice skate park but to many kids in the bowls
Fun place to be lots of nice people there
Great location, lots of activities for kids of all ages, bring bike or scooter to enjoy the skate park
Love it great place to have a party
Such a fabulous park for all ages. We especially enjoy the water features after having our fill in the skate park.
This park is amazing. Make sure to bring a dump truck and some sand tools and you are in for a fun-filled day!!! Always busy!
Absolutely love this park for my kids!! They have a splash part of the park, a skate place part, and 3 different playgrounds!! Also they have two different locations for bathrooms and multiple places to sit with shade! I take my kids here often!
Great for kids! Splash pad, river, swings, several playgrounds for all ages. Great way to spend several hours with family. Parking is easy as well.
Newly updated nice little park
This is a great park so sit and listen to the world pass by and clear your head. Especially if youve got a spliff on hand.....you know what im sayin. But seriously its right next to the river so the scenery and surrounding area is magical.
Park is alright. Like most, lots of parents leaving their kids unattended. Teach your kids skatpark rules as an opportunity to teach them driving patterns.. it will keep them safe while youre not watching..
Cool skate park for different levels and a big playground. Porto potties available for use too.
This park is well designs. The crowd at the skatepark is typically accommodating for younger children down to children on small scooters and balance bikes
I have hosted a company team building event at this park for ~60 adult and have brought kids (age 3+) to play. There is a skate park, covered picnic area, outhouse-style restrooms, a splash pad area, a playground with sand and a LOT of open grass area to play. There is parking in the parking lot on the North Side of the park or street parking on the East and South sides. Drinking fountains - yes. No electrical for gatherings due to the splash pad. Easy access to the pavilion for caterers. Overall EXCELLENT park.
Very busy and well maintained. Nice place to take little ones on a summer day.
Greetings, kids had a good time. Happy trails
Great family park. Wheat Ridge parks does a great job of keeping it clean and well maintained.
Its fun if you like to skate transition.
All my kids love this park regardless of their age they have a place for everyone.
Fun place to go to with your grand-kids. Nice skate area and playground. Good walk paths, as well. You meet some great people with their kids, too.
Theres decent equipment. Could use some more options.
Easily accessible skate and play park
Very nice park with cool amenities.
Awesome park with water features and so many things for the kids to explore
Love that my husband has a large enough area to skateboard, easy enough to teach our son. And the smaller ones can go play on the multiple areas.
Great place for the kids to play especially if they like sand boxes
Great Skate park
The best park I have ever been to in the city plain and simple.
Much smoother and thought out than Denver, plus was less crowded
Splash pad, plus skate park and sandpit, something for everyone.
Kids loved playing in the sand amd water, grownups loved the shade and visibility of the kids, skate park was super fun too
Discovery park is a great park to go too. Theres 2 gas stations close by and a Sprouts Farmers Market as well. The park itself is perfect for anyone. Theres also a pretty good skate park there as well. I recommend the skatepark for anyone. Uanyone thats never nd up but theres still plenty of park for beginners too! Theres alk/bike path all the way around with plenty of places to sit. The playground is nice and clean. Very well maintained as is the entire park. I strongly recommend Discovery Park to everyone looking to enjoy a nice day.
Great flow bowl, street course is cool and there is some fun banky wacky stuff and a super mini snake run thing.
Great park with lots of open space, and lots to choose from. Also, has small splash pad for those hot days.
The boys bring their bike, skate board, or scooter and have a lot of fun.
Excellent place to picnic, relax, practice at skate park. on site public restroom is seasonal, portojohn otherwise with handicap accessibility
Nice small neighborhood park. Probably best for parents and children (12 or less).
We have been to 30 + parks this summer and this is a fav! With two playgrounds, a splash pad, a man made river area and a sand/mud pit; my 2 year old stayed busy for hours!!
Great place to take the kids to and a good place for a birthday party.
Beautiful and very well maintained! I love that there is a splash pad AND ALSO another water feature that is like a small river! My kids AND I have thoroughly enjoyed this park! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you City of Wheat Ridge!
This is a great park. There always kids here to play with but not so many its crowded. Wish it had more shade, but the equipment and splash pad are nice. It has a skateboard area as well.
Beautiful place
This park is super cute I bring me kids here often. I like the skate park and water features we walk here almost every time we visit gramma.
Great use of what used to be a huge waste of space. The free open air splash pad and mini steam are cute. BIG sandbox, picnic tables, jungle gym.
Great local town park for walking, taking your pet, fun to watch the kids skateboarding
Give me more pizza love it.
We just discovered this park about a month ago, and love it! Our almost two year old boy loves exploring everywhere, and although Ive heard it gets busy in the afternoon we never have problems in the morning. Usually by 10 there are others here, but if you have an early riser like we do youll enjoy having the run of the park. The skate park is fun for littles to watch, and there are plenty of cars and trucks passing by that are great entertainment as well. And the grounds are immaculate, the groundskeeper is friendly and inviting. This is our go to park!
Fun, many things to do
Skate park, toddler specific equipment, a sandbox and much more. Great time visiting this park, a new favorite
Great place to bring a bike or anything on wheels
So cute. Lovely park for the kids of all ages
The kids can play all day here. You have the splash pad and little play creek to cool off in. Then you have 3 play areas, one designated for smaller kids plus another one with sand and water to play in. Also the skate park is awesome. My boys bring their bikes or scooters. There are tables under a huge gazebo thing so you can bring lunch as well.
This park is great! The only downside is that its always busy. There are features to please everyone in the family, no matter what size! There is a skate park and a large field for running and playing. There are a couple covered areas with picnic tables. As for the playground, its amazing. There are water fountains to jump through, there is a beach area where kids can build sandcastles and get wet. There are swings. Lots of swings. There is a pretend play area for smaller kids to play. There is a padded area with a four-sided teeter-totter. There are different sized climbing structures, for all sized children. Then there is a completely separate area with a nature theme, where kids can ride on some really unique things, and also climb and slide. Theres also a parking lot for the park. There is no shade at this park (other than under the gazebos) so keep in mind that the structures can get very hot in the afternoon sun!
Safe, has skate park also for the older kids. And water fetures on hot days for the kids to play. Great for all ages
Great family park. A little close to Kipling but, not too bad. Skate park and water area with lots of playground equipment make it kid friendly. Can get pretty crowded at certain times.
Great skatepark
Super dope park the skate park is top notch
Did not dicover a damn thing.. Other than discovering that this park had liars name it.
Great park for grandson, lots of things to keep busy.. water fountains, even for pets, restrooms, shaded tables for eating, small splash pad and much more...kids have fun...
Its a great park for little kids birthdays skating and biking the only problem is there are a few rough groups of kids that come here and they typically leave when the little kids get on the skatepark but not always. The police regularly are called out here to handle disputes on the skatepark with older kids smoking and being bullies to the little ones. The police presence have definitely increased my likability in coming here with my 3 and 5 year old who skate at 4 to 7 skate parks a week.
Nice playgrounds, water feature, and sand area. Great place for the little ones to run around and get some energy out. Also has a skate area and pavilion.
Love this place! Tons of fun, active stuff for the kids, especially in the summer with water play. Good for a quick playground visit, or come packed and prepared for a full morning/afternoon.
Skatepark is nice, ALWAYS filled with children though
Its a great park! My kids love to to spend hours here.
Good place to go to relax, watch the kids in the skate park.they have some great swings there for us older floks.
They have a great little playground area for the Lil ones. And a little splash park, in the summer. Looking forward to that!
Beautiful park, lots of geese. Graffiti in porta-potty was rather concerning, hateful and a swastika.
Nice park although the water feature needs a better timer the down time lasts too long and kids get bored and walk away
