Love coming to West Valley mall. The parking is free and open. If your movie hasnt started, you can walk around the mall. Theres tables right outside the movies, you can wait with ya homies out there. The snack bar is semi-alright. Theyre so busy, but the workers are really friendly and helpful.
Larry Miller started the reserved seating in this market. Others have been playing catch up ever sense. The food concessions are not as nice as some, but still solid. The seating, sound, and projection technology is all state of the art. Generally, Im here for the IMAX. I go for the Sunday matinee. Theres times a crowd is fun, but Im a fan of getting the seat I want and not being crowded.
I’ve been going here since I was a kid-it hasn’t changed much. Same chairs, maybe even the same popcorn from how it tastes. I could get past that if the customers hadn’t become so ghetto. There may be three or four kids running up and down the aisle the whole movie cause this is Mama and Daddy’s date night and the whole theatre is the babysitter. There may be teenage boys selling weed, or teenage girls with daddy issues, talking behind you the entire movie. Alas, that stabbing pain is not you getting shanked by one of the Swag boys-it’s the rusty springs of the seat. Have fun!
Not bad for a dollar theater! $1.25 every seat every day and 75¢ on certain days. Obviously a dollar theater wont be top quality, but for a dollar or less, this place is hard to beat. Usually pretty clean and the theaters are small. When I was there the soda machines werent working and you couldnt order drinks.
My Gosh the ticket price was raised, doubled to $3 per person!!! No worth it anymore. The place is old and often dirty. The last time I saw only one employee doing it all!!! Better get movies from REDBOX.
Bottom of the barrel dollar theater. The seating is beat, and the theater I went to last year had lousy audio and stained screen. Get what you pay for I suppose. Just a shame its gotten so shabby, I have a ton of good memories of this place as a child.
I mean Its the budget theater. $1.50 movies. You get what you pay for. Seats are okay until you stand up and realize youve been torturing your back for a few hours... But definitely not the worst $1 theater Ive been to. Also the lobby lights are kinda creepy... And hurt my eyes.
Great theatre centered around being old timey. They have all kinds of movies and I love going there with my family.
Going to the movies are fantastic! You could buy some tickets and multiple snacks for the price of other movie places. I enjoy going every time!
I went to see a movie and the price on everything is way too expensive this place is suppose to be cheap so people can afford to come and enjoy movies. I went and saw a 3D movie we did not receive our glasses even with paying the extra two dollar up charge for them. I had to go and ask someone in order to get the glasses so I could enjoy the show. Even then the show started late and there was a ton of confusion on what movie was where and they had mixed up what movie was playing in the theather
Great little dollar theater. We love going here to catch any movies we missed when they first came out. You cant beat it for a cheap date.
Movies only $1.50. Theaters not always smell good. Sound system could be better. Some seats not in good condition. My head always itches in the theaters, I dont know why. Maybe something in the air of the theater.
My son and I love to come here on the weekends. Its a great deal and the lines are usually not bad.
I am a frequent customer at the Sugar house Dollar theater unfortunately they are closed for remodeling. I decided to give the Cinemark Valley Fair 9 a try and it was the worst experience I ever had. The employees there are great the guy who was at the concessions was super friendly and fast. The bad experience came from during the viewing. The guy in front of me was constantly on his phone. a child across the aisle was playing with some light up toy. And the family behind me thought it was ok for their child to kick the seat i was in throughout the entire movie. I will never return here.
This little theather blowed me away with the quality of sound and the HD and the seats are comfortable enough, the price is perfect for movies that perhaps you missed at premiere, really is that good.
Enjoy the family environment inside the Mall and the food court. If they werent there it would be disappointing.
Only a dollar which is nice... 50 cents on Wednesday or something like that... Which is nicer... But, unfortunately, at least in the theatre I went to, the sound quality was very very bad.
This is an awesome spur-of-the-moment evening out. See all the movies on the big screen you didnt want to pay full price for. Nice staff too.
Walking into this theater is an experience of its own... what Id imagine its like to walk into East Germany, or North Korea, or a John Steinbeck novel about Grapes. Its where Disney memorabilia goes to die... but on the plus side, the walls are as thin as that first apartment you had back in college, so youre not only going to experience the movie you paid for, but the movie next door to it as well... a two for one on movie night shall we say. Speaking of bargains, I dont know if they were having a Friday night special or what the night I went, (because I was too lazy to check the prices before I went, and Im still too lazy to do so) but it only cost $3 for both tickets to the movie I saw... I thought the guy at the kiosk misheard me and was trying to sell me half a ticket to a childrens puppet show, but no. It was $3 for two tickets. $3 total. I knew I was in for a thrill ride the moment George Washington and his two twin brothers left my wallet, and a thrill ride it was.My movie was playing in the theater in the back to the right, or so the ticket guy told me, but it turns out this is actually the theater in the back to the right, to the left, further to the back, to the right again, then to the left... I thought Id been tricked into entering the final task of a triwizard tournament. I think the kiosk guy forgot to give us a map! WHERE ARE WE!? Well, as Elvis would say... In the GhettOooo! ...Perhaps an understatement, because the first thing youll notice when you manage to actually locate your theater is the fabric covering the seats. Dear sweet fancy Moses... Where once sat perhaps beautiful rows of plush lilac ass comfort, now row after row of faded worn and mostly stained spring loaded germ sponges. Choose wisely, dear reader, for these seats may have been the very ones Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in. Get yourself two large Cokes, and poor one out on the floor for ol honest Abe, because they mop the floors here with Coca-Cola. Is everything sticky!?If you manage to keep your shoes from permanently adhering you to the floor, you may find that the experience was not too shabby for the price point... or you may find that the crazy guy in the seat behind you just cant seem to find whatever it is he lost, and hes definitely going to ask you if you saw his glass eye roll past your feet on its way to the not so big screen at the front of the room... TWO STARS!!
Terrible customer service. The manager was rude. All I asked was of my 2yr old needed a ticket and his snarky attitude was uncalled for. He slammed water cups onto the counter and was all together unprofessional. Ive had better service ast mcdonalds!
This place its great my cousin got here ears pierced there for cheap.
I love the big screen and This is a Great deal for the price!!! Of course the theater is a bit run down, thats why they can show movies at more than a reasonable price.
Waited in line for 10 minutes while the staff stood around talking to each other. There were more employees being helped that customers. Theater is very nice though
Films are great .but manger is kinda mean.you get what you pay for here
We come often. The manager is easy to talk to, and all the employees are friendly . They have 50 cent tickets on Wednesday
People are to close and movie quite chairs are insanely torter but not the worst ever and good prices
I realized halfway through my movie that I was stuck to my seat, literally. Gum all over my caboose :( its cheap and what youd expect, check your seats before sitting, but not too close, it may be disturbing.
Always loud disrespectful people there. You can hear the kids playing outside too. Teenagers are the worst, had a girl talking half way through the movie with her boyfriend and her cell phone on BRIGHT until I made a loud remark because shooshing her wasnt enough, every time I go I have a horrible experience, never fails. Staff needs to do a walk through and watch hoe their patrons are.
Ive never had a Bad experience there, If you get a seat thats not to your likening, its usually never packed so you can sit where you want. Great time and Movie every time, If your used to being pampered its not for you, but thats OK more room for me to put my feet up.
I had to leave. All the seats were broken plus it smelled like stale smoke mixed with years old popcorn and farts.
Great saving but thearter could be cleaner. popcorn, drink & candys can be lower price it will be great......
I come here a lot and its a great place to go with your friends.
Our family think this place is the last great deal for family entertainment.. Thank cinemark 9 fir being there fir us..
Decent theater. Could be a little cleaner. Id only go to this location if I was in the area.
They were absolutely amazing. They even refilled my popcorn even though they were basically all closed.
One of our favorite family activities - at a price we can afford!
LOVE IT THERE!... They charge to much on snacks tho
Love that u can see 3d movies for under 5$. Hate how uncomfortable seats are!
For a dollar they give you a plastic bag and a stick. You hit the rat as hard as you can and then throw it in the bag. Lol it is a dollar theater what do you expect
Today is you last day.this place is closing down. No more good priced movies left..very sad day for everyone
Its not very clean, seats are not comfortable, sounds is too loud but the tickets are cheap
Pretty good overall, the staff is good about keeping it clean. Like that alot.
This is the last dollar movies in Salt Lake City! Youve got to love movies for $1.50!!!
Some of the movies are also at the more expressive theatre at the same time, with less price
While its pretty cheap to see movies here, the facility is pretty run down and usually pretty dirty.
I like the low prices and its not too far off of looking like century 16 in state that still have old seats
The theater itself is worn out and the seats are not very comfortable. However, for $1.50 movie, its definitely worth it.
Great place to enjoy a movie, easy freeway access.
Great movie expierence came here since I was a kid
Ive going to this theatre since I was a kid. I love it.
Love it but expensive
Youll be missed.

Great Deal!
For the price you pay it is amazing
I always love the price and the movies are amazing
Kind of dirty and not as comfortable as megaplex theaters but for a dollar theater its one of the best
Signs of age show, but cheep.
Awesome baby
Great prices! Great theaters!!
Its a dollar theater, but thats about all its got going for it, anymore. The theater is run down and not very clean. Forget about any kind of quality surround sound - but again, at a dollar, what else can you expect?
Nice family place, love it.
Price and shows.
