This is a very cool spot with a ton of history. However, the signage could really be improved. At times, the trails can be a bit hard to follow (and in a couple of places without tree cover, the grass is very thick and long in the summer). The actual prophets rock is a must see in the area.

Ive been coming here since I was a kid. I think maybe they used to clear a lot of the smaller trees and vegetation out because the view was much better. Its more natural now, the old monument is still there, but its pretty worn. I always like to bring people there and tell them the story as we hike up to the top so they can picture it in their head. It was a Braveheart speech type moment in Native American history, even though it ended in a slaughter and was frought with deception. I always wonder what would have happened if Prophet had followed Tecumsehs wishes, but diplomacy never seemed to work either. Its a great place to think for a few minutes and picture what it must have looked like.

It was a neat history experience. Being able to climb the rock and sit and explain to our kids how history happened was something none of us will forget. Be sure to head back across the river to the Battle of the Tippecanoe site and visit the history center. Just an all around great day.

Wanted to love this spot, but the trails were not well marked, and I wasnt sure which direction to take. A couple nice views on the trail. Doesnt seem like it gets much traffic because there were tons of spider webs in the trail. I walked into at least a dozen on one trip.

Its just beautiful here, and so much history. If you dont kbow the stories stop by the battlefield museum.
