The fire road we used first was well kept in great condition at least for the first few miles. After that the road quickly became impassable for our vehicle. The view was breath taking and the area we selected to stay were beautiful we tried several different roads and found all became impassable after several miles mostly due to abuse by users when conditions were wet we saw many ATVs dirt bikes and off road trucks many of which were driving safely a few were not.
This place is a kind of home-away-from-home for me. Ive been hunting various parts of it since 1998-ish. I still enjoy every hour I get to spend there. The Table Mountain fire devastated parts of it. I hope well see controlled burns of the subsequent blowdowns to keep it safe from future devastation
Great place to hunt. Beautiful scenery. Goo see it before the government takes that away too.
A hiking trail at Silver Falls campground on Entiat River Road. County Road #19 becomes Forest Road 51 at 27 miles. Although, it was a short hike to the base of the Falls, the trail to the top of the Falls was steep with many staircases. But it was so worth it because there were several viewpoints to see the on going flows of Silver Falls!!
Simply amazing views all around you. Excellent hiking and camping, which fills up pretty much all summer - dont count on grabbing a first come first serve site. Bring mosquito repellant in the summer, our two citronella candles and some bug spray did the trick. Grocery is about 15 minutes away in Leavenworth which is an AWESOME little town to explore.
This is a huge area filled with natural beauty. Its fun to explore the forest service roads.
Went rock hounding here and scored! The views are beautiful and everyone we came across was very friendly. Great place to do many activities!
The sushi was well prepared and nicely presented in my takeout box. I could easily give them 5 stars, but it was my first time there.....so maybe next time!
Beautiful territory. The recent forest fire has created new forms of life throughout the area. Camping was easy to come by the weekend after fourth of July.
The serenity. If you want a nice tranquil walk out in the woods. This is one of my favorite places. The views are just stunning. Its really not all to be either on a really hot sunny day as theres some places that youll feel natures own AC. Its flowing that mountain breeze through the Rocks opening.
My son and family are working on a 1912 mountain cabin his dad bought. It’s a beautiful area. The cabin is being put on a new foundation and will be modernized to be more comfortable.
I spend more and more time exploring the myriad ways that you can enjoy this bit of the planet. What a wonderful asset.
Love the scenery I had a quick jaunt here aww breath taking if you like the woods good place to go .away from city breathe the fresh air .
I was here in the mid 70s to 79 then I went to Alaska.i stayed there until 2005.i guess okanogan. Was the beginning of my adventures .i stayed in Alaska 37 years its still so beautiful here and a bit more wearable seance it gets cold ...
Awesome views of scenery and wildlife close to home even.
Wonderful hiking trails with levels of difficulty to challenge every hiker. Wild flowers abound, lakes, rivers and streams are everywhere.
Lots of beautiful places to explore and make memories to last.
Great place to Camp if you want to Stage ATVs or dirt bikes.
I enjoy camping very much. I would enjoy it a lot more if I didnt have to deal with mosquitoes.
We did a day trip..... if your able do a night trip it really has more to do then a few hours worth. Its one of the most stunning places Ive ever been
You dont know where to point your camera next. Pristine wilderness.
Always enjoy coming out here lovely environment and great place to get out of normal day life.
Excellent hiking trails to a beautiful lake on top. Wish I had a camp gear to campus a night.
Its so peaceful and beautiful
What a beautiful place to hike, jog, ride a bicycle or a horse. Trails for all. Maps and location of trails are easily seen & read. The trail we went on was versatile and not top difficult to walk. Amazing scenery all the way through. The bathroom I used was one of the cleanest Ive ever seen/smelled for an outhouse type. I would definitely recommend this area for your active desires. Cant wait to come back!
I found it to be more of an amazing day of sightseeing in nature than I was even expecting!

We had a great time! Need to get away? Avoid i-5 :-)
Absolutely beautiful and fun hike!
Huge. Rangers are polite unlike North Cascades National Park
Most beautiful place Ive ever been
Beautiful forest, beautiful mountains, great views. We gladly come here every year
You pay for trailheads and they dont keep roads graded or put outhouses. Toilet paper everywhere.
We went hunting for a specific spot here, but we love exploring forests! This one is particularly special, with waterfalls, mushrooms, and beautiful minerals, its such a special place to visit!
Beautiful place to hike, so many scenic trails. Very busy during weekends and even weekdays depending on the trail.
Absolutely beautiful! Amazing viewpoints, and perfect off road riding!
Okanogan - Wenatchee National Forest is a nice forest to visit, photograph, Camping, hiking, lakes, rivers, trails and waterfalls to walk on.White River is a nice river runs through part of the Okanogan - Wenatchee National Forest.
Its just beautiful in the mountains, and the air is clean, and you dont have to wear a mask- nobody around! Lol
Very beautiful Lake. The water is so clear and warm (Aug 10th).
Love this hike. It might be little hard but totally worth it. Would go again for sure.
Vast and diverse. Depending on the area, you can find beautiful scenery, solitude, fishing and hunting opportunities, mountain biking, and much more.
Sauer Mt is a wonderful hike. Steep at first but worth the views as you walk along the ridge. Majestic mountains and you get to see Leavenworth from a different angle
Amazing hike, a little on the chilly side for overnight camping yet. Love the camp spots arranged from time to time along the trail but not close enough together to feel like you are camping in a neighborhood.
One of the most beautiful places Ive ever hiked, highly recommend heading out on the Spyder gap loop towards image lake
Beautiful forest. The gravel roads we were on were well maintained. The trails were nice as well. Get out there and see for yourself
Didnt finish the hike since it was raining but we enjoyed every bit.Need a northwest forestry pass.
Serene. Thats the best word I can think of to describe this place. It is truly one of the best places i have gone to for disbursed camping. Open to the public but not over crowded.
Lots of great camping sites and the Skykomish river is great!
Beautiful scenery year round. Not super busy. Great place to get away.
Labor Day backpack adventure with 2 friends and 2 dogs. What an amazing time! We started at Pete Lake trailhead and about 10 miles later with 36lbs of gear set-up camp at Spectacle Lake. Quite the inspirational views and beautiful night gazing at the Milky Way. Totally worth every step hiking through the burn areas seeing and smelling the new growth of the forest floor. Kind of surreal seeing so many standing burned trees. Would do this backpack again - the dogs were happy respectfully off leash carrying their own packs.
Fantastic views fantastic mountains great views and great camping awesome and spectacular are two words that come to mind
A hidden gem.Beautiul lakes and rivers
Theres just something about running in a forest! Lots of trails that were well marked but still could easily get a little lost out there.
Beautiful is all I can say
Beautiful area. Nice hikes and low prices for parking.
Stunningly beautiful but bugs at a level unheard of. Beware of bugs
I always love stopping by the river and time I travel hwy 2
So many beautiful camping spots along the forest service roads (free). Just be sure to practice LNT principles and watch fire alerts. Super dry out there right now
This is my go to camping. Great paid sites and non pay sites.
Great picnic area...great for rock-hounding and or fishing ....very beautiful and some what spooky ...when I was there the smoke from the Canada wildfires had blown in making it so smokey it was spooky...
I recommend this thing all of our national forests and parks This one was covered in snow if you can handle the cold which was not to bad get out and do some hiking
Amazing view at the top of the hill.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. WELL MAINTAINED AND FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY.
So gorgeous and close to town but you feel as your a million miles from anywhere
There are few places better than the mountains. And these mountains and forests are the absolute best. If you know where to go you can spend endless amounts of weekends and never get bored. Driving mountain dirt roads, huckleberry picking or finding hidden lakes. Wenatchee national forest is a great place for families or just to be yourself.
Great place to go with the family and get away from it all
Paradise in northern Washington! Beautiful mountains, rivers and spectacular views are abundant! We love it!
Great, still snow up top in July!
The hardest hike Ive ever done. Culchuck to snow lakes in 4 days, full packs up Azgard pass. Mosquitoes like crazy. Extremely difficult hike, lots of scrambling and bouldering between Inspiration lake and snow lake. Be prepared for difficulty.
Great dirt bike ride, only 33 miles from home
Great time with family, really enjoyed the hiking and forest service roads.
What an amazing range of mountains and forest this is! Camp grounds are very good. Make sure you check web sites for the very readily available information on burn bans.
Great winter fun just wish the state would stop using salt on the roads. I never had problems getting anywhere before the started using it and what effects does the salt have on our rivers and fish.
I give the forest 5 stars every time. Thank you for not cutting it down. This is a beautiful landscape, well worth the trek, and many places to stay nearby while youre visiting!
Liberty beehive road out past honey meadow may be impassable for cars without a particularly high ground clearance and/or 4X4 capability. Edit: I was scaping bottom occationay with my 2002 rav4.use a real Jeep. Like a Cherokee, wrangler, or Rubicon. Trucks might be too long to make some of the tighter stuff.
Beautiful hike...Rachel lake trail
I love hiking in any forest or park, national or otherwise, yet I have to say the Cascade Mountains have always held a special endearing quality sine I was a toddler (and now as a retired natural-person).
One of the prettiest forests Ive been to.
Beautiful country!
Lake Chelan is beautiful and clean
Just a gorgeous place, dont miss ice cream at Caucasian Farm. A great rest stop.
Went hiking up to Hansen Creek to do a little rockhounding. Got these great crystals while up there. Always good people up there to help you know what to look for! Happy trails
It was fun. The waterfall made pool was the funnest thing to jump into. It was freezing but it was worth it. The hike was also fun of course. And it wasnt hard at all, everyone of all ages could have fun hiking here.
Good natural place with many fruit farms
Gotta go. There are soo many cool little spots where you can venture off the trail and see amazing scenery....it was awesome and I will deff be going back next time Im in Seattle.
Beautiful. Cleaned up where we camped. Wish people would remember - if you pack it in, you pack it out
Its one of the most beautiful places in the world.
Can see mt Raineer & mt Adams very well, & 3 plumes from the Selah fire. ( from Table Mtn.).
