First time snowboarding ever. Ski patrol was super kind and helpful. Really saved me from having a bad day. Ski patrol Ted came in clutch and saved my day
We love the Ridge for its awesome snow, super dry for Washington, short lift lines, and incredibly nice staff.
Went on the guided snowshoe tour and it was really fun. Even from the beginning, staff was very helpful with which forms we needed to fill out and getting us the right size of gear. We are beginners and the guides helped us with our snowshoes and explained how to walk in them in the different terrain The guide was so patient with my daughter as she was struggling towards the end. Loved the view of the city lights also coming back down the ridge. Also, the igloo they built is so cool.
Coming from the west side of the mountains its pleasant to have low volume lift lines and dry powdery snow. Snow base was quite low, about 28 in. But cover was adequate for full Mountain use. Had to watch out for a few rocky patches. Staff was very nice. Getting to the mountain from Wenatchee is very easy. Parking lot was easy to navigate.
Management is phony and doesnt actually care about the sport or the community, theyre biased towards boarders and have even gone as far as banning and threatened to press criminal charges on them for hiking in and taking some runs, which is representative of where their true values are as a resort and their claims for being supportive about outdoor recreation. They should be supporting people who are willing to go out and take a break from all the chaos thats going on at a time like this. If they truly had any values for the winter sports, they would be more than willing or being more than okay with people going out of their way to enjoy their life on the property. All they care about is how to make more money for themselves which should be taken into account when considering their true motives for their expansion plans going forward.
Great place to ski. Friendly people with a small town feel️
Cons:-Mountain doesnt get much snow.-The wind is pretty bad here, the summit quad (chair 2) gets shut down a fair amount because of it.Pros:-The mountain opens early in the year due to snowmaking, although with very limited terrain- there is a lot of open territory on the mountain and the chairs are placed in good locations to access most of it.- the season pass is low cost, and free tickets to other mountains pay for the pass itself.- a good mix of run difficulty and terrain.- beautiful 360° views from the summit.- staff is friendly and helpful
This ski area is our favorite small resort. Lots of great terrain, outstanding views on clear days, and some of the nicest people around. It is small, the lifts are mostly double chairs and slow, but once you are off they are worth it for the great terrain you will find. Plenty of challenge for those that like it, and lots of easy stuff for those that like to just cruise. The mid mountain lodge is small but serves up some tasty lunches and good drinks too - the base lodge has even more options. They allow overnight RV parking which is something we enjoy. We are not locals and we drive about 4 hours to ski here at least once per year! Worth it!
This resort is poorly managed and really does not care about its community. Managers there think that they own the whole mountain. Its not cool banning a person that has marketed the whole resort to outcomers. Not cool at all. This resort is going against the ski & snowboard community.
Mission Ridge is honestly a good resort. It isnt the biggest and it is mainly aimed towards skiers but the runs are decent and the lines are never too long. good for beginners.
Best burgers in town. Friendly professional staff. Reasonable prices, for a resort. Fun music & events. Parking is helpful w staff to assist.
Love this place. Great terrain, sunshine, fun staff reasonable price. It gets 4 stars because 5 stars is really hard to get in my world. Totally recommend it!!!!
This has become one of our familys favorite places to ski. The snow is nice and the staff is amazing! This morning, staff members were going up to cars as they parked and offered to carry ski gear up to the ticket office for you. Everyone is friendly and the lift operators are on point. Small resort but well worth the price.
We love this spot! Friendly staff, awesome kids lessons. Good runs for a one day trip. Reasonably priced.
Small resort feel with an incredible amount of diverse terrain - I can see why people come back to Mission year and year!
First time here. This was my first time at Mission ridge and I really enjoyed it a lot!Want to say thank you to Brittany who taught my snowboarding lesson today, give that lady a raise! Super helpful and explained things really well.Staff where really nice and even though I’ve never been on or near a ski resort before it was very cool for a first timer. Will be going back there again for some more fun and I can’t wait.Highly recommend!
Amazing views, no long lanes on ski lifts, close to lifts and always available parking.
Nice little mountain. Had a great time!
My kids had a great lesson from Wolfe today! He was a great instructor!
Short on snow so far this year so it seems like a lot on man-made, but thats better than not skiing at all. Overall a fun place to ski. No lift lines and Monday parking was no problem, but Ive been there on weekend (combined with much more snow) when the parking was a challenge. As others have noted Id like to see some on-slope improvements. A good chance for a bluebird day at Mission.
Great runs for beginners! Always has amazing snow!
Great mountain, great staff, overall a very pleasant experience
Cool mountain but cmon, let Jake ride. This is a diss to the snowboard community. Hes making people want to come here.
Beautiful location, friendly staff and host to the Special Olympics. I will be back
One of the best days Ive ever had on a mountain. 4 of the dryest blower powder, blue bird all day, no wind... perfect. The view alone is worth the trip. Great time, great memories.
Best mountain around. Always perfect groomers and friendly workers.
Visited for first time and really liked it. Views are great, snow is very dry, and reasonably priced compared to Stevens. Only thing really missing is a good terrain park, the current terrain parks are a bit small (and the one with tow rope is a bad idea for heavier guys because the rope ruins your gloves quite fast if you are on the heavier side).
Always been one of my favorite places to ski. Little to no lines. Minute from down town
Went here once when I lived in Washington. Had a great time. It is very nice that they have child care on the mountain for your little ones who cant yet ski!
Terrible management ruined the trip. Would not recommend going.
First time visiting this resort and it was a great experience. The staff are friendly, the snow quality was good and the views stunning. Well definitely be back.
A wonderful ski resort
Amazing day on the hill. Started off with a wonderful Smoked Brisket on burger bun, with cheese, sauteed onions and topped with a fried EGG..simply delicious...chased with 22oz beer on tap..dont miss this menu item.
There is a lot of course!! I was fun.but, there are few downhills for beginners and few snowboard items.
Unnecessary bans on snowboarding
Took the family on a Tuesday over winter break, no lines whatsoever! Found some great trails off the main runs, got in some great powder turns. Love me some Mission Ridge
Great ski/snowboard area. High speed chair. Also, the terrain park has its own rope tow, so you do not have to go all the way down the mountain and catch the chair all the way to the top, and ski/board down to the park. Experienced snowboarders do not even have to unbuckle ... They board right up to the rope tow and hang on to the top of the park. Slick!
Terrain is ok, intermediate, but lifts are old and break often, except chair 2, which is not open when windy. Snow is better than on the West. Needs bigger parking and they should clean the road in the morning before the crowds when snowing - this is the only place I had to put chains in the last 15 years skiing. Overall nice small resort, which will be so much better if they add one more modern and reliable chair lift from the base, and if they improve the road and parking situation.
Great place to go skiing or snowboarding. Its in my back yard so I give a good review for the convenience of how close it is. The snow they get is great, very mountainous and light powder when its there. Conditions seem to be great for the most part, some windy days but not much. They have some good terrain parks that are always changing. The snow making is good, some of the best, and the grooming is always good. They have child services if you need a babysitter, not sure the cost. They honestly could use an upgrade, they have a lot of unused mountain that could be expanded. The chairs they use stop more than other resorts and are far older lifts. They only have one quad with three lifts total to get you to the top of the ridge. If you want to go further, you spend your day hiking to get the rest of the mountains. They could easily use a tbar to get further for cheap, but every year they charge more for no upgrade. Waiting can get pretty bad for food, very little places to eat, expensive, and very crowded. The parking is pretty bad on busy days, you have to park down the mountain road a ways away and be shuttled. The only reason they get the stars they get is because they are so close and easy to get to. If I did not live here I dont know if I would have came back after the first, knowing what else is out there for resorts and prices.
Excellent skiing inspite of less snow than most local ski areas. Top can be windy but has outstanding views on nice days. Good food but the two lodges are often very crowded at meal time.
Good snow, few people
Excellent mountain! Great runs, great service, great price. The views are amazing AND they have childcare. Well worth the long drive from Seattle. My family had a great time and we will be back.
Poor management. Slow chairs. Over priced. Park no longer exists.
Very friendly and great lessons for our kids who were on a retreat and first timers. Good place to escape the crowds. Slow lifts but long runs.
Wide variety of terrain for the whole family with decent snow. No lines, no waiting ever. A little windy up top at times but that is to be expected. Great ski school for the younger kids.
Great place overall. We have been skiing at this place for the last 7 years. Great snow. Rarely icy. Good price. Small line, even during high seasons. Great for family with young kids. Great well maintained runs.
I rode here through 14 good, great, and terrible years. The one thing that always remained the same was the service and atmosphere I experienced year after year. Every employee enjoyed their job, and every local enjoyed playing tour guide! There have also been a lot of positive changes to the mountain in the last decade including the high speed quad that replaced chair 2, the base and midway lodges being remodeled, the advances in terrain park style and positions, and several management changes in various departments. Im honored to call Mission Ridge home and look forward to the next decade of positive changes. Cheers, and I hope to see you on the mountain!
Good slopes, offers night skiing. The restaurant has great food and live music on occasion.
The service was great. The chair lifts all ran smoothly. The food was good. We loved the outside fire pit. We had a great time!
We wanna see Jake tearing up the slopes again
Incredible dry snow peak season and impeccable groomers. Food and beer are also on point.
Ive snowboarded at Mission for a few years now, even worked on the Lift Ops crew. Its a great mountain no matter your experience. It also has great hiking trails during the winter or summer.
Local family ski resort. Would be great on a powder or sporting day. They get less snow than others, but still have good coverage and marked obstacles. Mid mountain food and beer, nice big deck at main lodge.
Not usually any good snow, slower lifts, low vertical, not very steep, rocks everywhere. Be wary of conditions report, if you see the word variable just replace it with terrible and you will have an accurate idea of conditions. Can be sunny a lot if you like that. Not too crowded. The wind can be extreme.
NO LINES! Went to Mission Ridge Christmas week 2016 and *never* stood in line. Terrain is fun; a bit too much blue and not enough black... But still fun.Chairs are a bit slow but you make up the time and then some vs waiting in line. Worth the extra drive compared to other options in the Cascades!
We love Mission Ridge. It is a great place to ski and snowboard. No waiting time for chairs, not very crowded, and no need to worry about a parking spot.
Awesome powder. Below average quality of operations and communication. Hosts ski races in the winter about 3 full weekends in a row that packs the parking lot; but fails to inform the public or plan for capacity in shuttle operations.
Awful service from rental check out to restaurant. Staff inconsiderate, rude and obviously hate their jobs and portray that on people just trying to enjoy the weather and the resort. Very sad.
Great hill with more difficult slopesFriendly staffWould visit again
Im not a skier but I like to go up their just to have a nice lunch and people watch. They views are beautiful. Nice outdoor fire on the deck to warm up by. Generally, just fun to hang out and watch the skiers.
Extremely rude service at the restaurant, waiter Cory was impatient and rude from beginning to end. We had finished our meal and waited 20 mins and he never came back, So we went and stood at the bar to check out and waited another 10 mins while he waited on a less then half full restaurant, I asked Mort if he would be able to help us check our cause we have been waiting a long time and he began to yell at me “he has been helping people all day long... what do you want from me?!” ... “ he can’t split our check and our waiter will be right with us”. I stopped talking to him immediately and turned away and he continued to confront me and was very rude I had to ask him to stop!I have never been treated so rudely, very disappointed in our community!
Terrible service and complete disrespect to the snowboarding community.
Bad mountain bad peoples
Have made several trips here from the Seattle area over the years for mid winter breaks. Very cheap, great dry snow, nice little town of wenatchee. People up on the hill are all very friendly and the best place in WA to have a chance at a bluebird day. Recommend checking out the ski stay packages on their website. Essentially can get 2 free lift tickets.
Love Mission Ridge. The weekend we went it was super cold, but the slopes are great, its relatively inexpensive and the people are great. Have never seen it real crowded. Definitely worth the drive from Seattle.Cannot wait for some spring skiing at Mission Ridge!
Good mountain, watch conditions,it can get really windy when weather changes. Lots of intermediate, and some great steeps if youre interested. Views are special of Columbia River. Last of the really, local family resorts. Bar is really good, as is service. Close to Wenatchee.
Cannot say enough good things about this place. Snow is incredible, runs on and off-piste are fantastic, and everyone is clearly there because they not only love skiing and snowboarding, they love sharing that passion.
Ive been to about 20 resorts/ski areas, so I have some perspective. While Mission Ridge isnt the largest hill, it makes up for it in a dozen ways! First, the parking is free and the lot is close enough to walk to the lifts. Second, the lodge food pricing actually is worth it (very rare thing indeed). Third, the price to rent gear, take private lessons, or just the lift ticket is far, far less than youd pay at a Vail resort. $265 for an all day private lesson, taught by someone like Joe (25+ years teaching @ Mission Ridge).... SIGN ME UP. If I didnt live on the east coast, Id stop by every year.
Just hiked up the pipeline trail all the way back to devils gulch. Very nice spot.
Great place to go skiing or boarding in central Washington. They offer a variety of beginner or advanced trails. The lodges offer great meal and drink options.
This is such a nice resort for a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Stevens, Crystal and Snoqualmie. I love it here.
Some of the best grooming in the PNW. Great off-piste and lots of sunshine. The beer bread at the mid lodge is better than cake.
This is my home hill. Super chill and friendly. The food is good and the beer is great.
They hate snowboarders
Tried Summit at Snoqualmie Pass and Ski Hill in Leavenworth and this place we love the most.It is best place from very beginner to pro. Also the prices are second to none.
One of my favorite ski resorts in all of Washington. Perfect for intermediate skiers.
Had a great time here! Almost no lines during the weekend, great groomed runs and ungroomed options. However, the lower chairlifts are old and need upgrading. The food at the cafeteria is just OK.
Absolutely loved it! Amazing place to teach my 5 year old how to board.
My young family learned to ski here. Incredibly friendly staff, easy, family feeling. We love Mission Ridge.
Good snow and no lift lines. Its worth the extra drive from Stevens Pass. Plenty of parking too. All of the staff is friendly.
This place is rad. A hidden gem in Washington. Best views of any mountain Ive been to. Took my wife there for the first time this last winter to learn to ski. She had been once before and wasnt excited to try again. After 4 days of skiing at Mission shes ready to take up the sport!
Awesome place. Only 4 lifts, 1 being a high speed quad but the mountain is always well manicured and cared for.
There is no question Mission can be a great place to ski. Not a lot of snow but it is generally of good quality. Unfortunately the management and owner are letting the mt. fall apart. Lifts break down constantly. Grooming went from great to average of less. Lifts lines long at bottom of the mountain on weekends. Ski there at your own risk. Could be good. Just as easily you could be on a lift that has to be evacuated. Seven evacuations this winter due to mechanical failures. Plus numerous other lift stoppages over 15 minutes. Plus numerous days lifts were broken and didnt operate.I have been a season pass holder there since 2000 and spent many years working in the ski business. Mission has become old and undependable. and the owner has no plans for infrastructure improvements. You could have a great time or just as easily feel you were totally ripped off. Chris Jones
Fun place to ski. great snkw and lots of blue bird days
Such friendly people here, locally owned and they really care about their guests, no insane crowds like Stevens Pass gets, drier over here too and they have full daycare for the little ones, love Mission!
I might have a biased opinion since I work at Mission making snow and grooming, but I live the mountain and people that I get to work with and interact with. Our customers are coming from an expanding area because the word is getting out about our little hill. The grooming is like no other at least in the state and our fresh Snow is usually a lot lighter than most places in the state because of our location!!
Awesome local ski area! There is often great snow, the terrain provides something for everyone, and the staff are friendly!
The local ski resort. Best Feature: Only 15 minutes from town
My mom and I went up here after we spent a night in Wenatchee. The views were outstanding, but the only complaint we had was there were no trails to go on, since they closed it for the summer.
Amazing mountain! Quick lifts, good snow, good people, not super expencive beer, good food.
Great small ski area with some of the best snow in the Northwest.
Mission ridge has much lighter fluffier snow compared to most ski resorts in Washington state (Stevens is iciest). I always suggest this resort to California transplants.
Been there only a couple of times, but fun skiing. A bit weather dependent.
