Loved going to movies here as a kid. Nice to not have to travel far to get to larger theaters in area. Safe feeling to leave theater at night since parking lot is directly in front of entrance/exit.
Pleasant experience with a nostalgic design. Happy they helped keep this theater open for the local residents. $8 adult tickets, flat rate cant be beat. Seniors and children are reduced price. Clean overall.
Great New prices. Very eager staff. Comfortable seating. Our go to spot for movies.
I visited this theater with my family this past weekend. The service was great and accommodating. the price of tickets are very reasonable. $5.99 per ticket before 5pm, where can you beat that???
Went last week to see Ford vs Ferrari and the auditorium was a mess. As was the theater itself. Popcorn all over the floor. The kids running this theater were just standing around instead of trying to clean up the mess. No organization. I used to love going to this theater before they changed over owners. Im all for family run businesses, but theyve gone downhill big time. The prices are good, but at what cost. Sorry to say but wont be returning.
I go to this location often because of one extravagant worker named frank. Kid really knows how to butter popcorn. He makes one hell of a soft pretzel too. He even will serenade you with some songs from la la land if you ask! Great place!!!!!
I have been to this theater in Preakness Shopping Center 309 times over the past 30 years (yes, Im a huge film nerd). Throughout Bow Tie, Clearview, and United Artists run this was a fantastic alternative to the larger theaters on the outskirts of Wayne or outside of it. Since turning into Wayne Movietown it only took three visits to vow to never visit it again. Starting a film 10 mins prior to the showtime with the projector not even running is unacceptable. Ill gladly pay double the price for a quality experience where its clear the employees care. No one ever seems to be at the ticketing booth anymore and the titles of the film arent even listed above the entrance to each individual theater. Other than the prices, which are better than ever, its going downhill fast.
My parents and I saw the Mr. Rogers movie here on Thanksgiving Day. Although the theater complex is a little dingy, my parents and I are loving their prices. For a little less than $15, I got a movie ticket (matinee price), a small cherry Coke/Pepsi, and a small popcorn. My mom and dads movie prices were a little bit cheaper because they are senior citizens.
I went to see the movie “Last Christmas” with my family and kids, keep in mind the movie was PG-13. Our tickets said auditorium 1. So, we went into auditorium 1. The movie started, and we see the title come up, “Doctor sleep” an R rated horror movie. We went out and said the wrong movie was playing and they said there was something wrong with their projectors. We demanded our money back because that wasn’t the movie we paid for, and the staff refused. I’m very disappointed in wayne movie town cinemas. We ended up just going into another auditorium to see some other movie.
Great family oriented movie theater. Ticket prices are really reasonable.
Nice place to watch a movie with the family. I like it because it is not too big, well run and usually has some kind of vending special.
A few years back i stopped going to movie theaters because people are so rude and I feel like there is always that one group determined to ruin the movie for everyone else. I started to go way out of my way to go to this theater... ABSOLUTELY THE BEST place I’ve been to. People watching don’t act out and I feel like the staff is dedicated. If you want the experience you deserve... this is your place
We had a private showing this morning to collect books for the book drive that our Girl Scout troop was holding. The theater made everything so easy and fun! Thanks for a memorable event!
Very fine theater. Staff is nice an very capable. Especially like how they show foreign movies every now and then, especially the Anime ones. Food is fairly priced. Seats are comfortable and environment is friendly and cozy. Overall, definitely a place to bring the family so see a movie without crazy crowds.
Best prices I have ever seen for both tickets and food.
Great local movie theater with incredible prices for movies and concessions
Nice theatre close to home. Very clean and comfortable. I try and go on Tuesdays for $6.-. Only drawback for me are the prices on concessions. Too high and popcorn needs to be a lot better. Just that and a small drink gets you up around $10.-. Best to see the movie and pass on the snacks. Bring your own!!!
Nice cinema, a little worn down, but had a quaint, old-timey feeling!
Theres a guy named Frank there hes a good kid.
Was able to purchase tickets earlier in the day, so we were able to just walk in. Enjoyed the movie Pets2.
I give it a 5 star. I love this theater. The seats are very comfortable. Nice atmosphere. It is very clean and I love the popcorn.
Happy and positive people.
Nice employees. Not fancy. Very relaxing during off hours. Seats are comfy, just dont go in expecting an IMAX theater type environment.
Our fave theater in the region - Super comfy upgraded seats, well run, and not in a mega mall!
This is how I remember movie theaters... Before the chains. 2 screens and no frills, just fun! The staff is friendly and great!
Very comfortable and clean.
Snack bar only had one person attending it on a new release night. There is only one window for purchasing tickets from a human and it is outside. There is a computer ticket seller inside, but nothing indicates its location from the outside. Theater rooms are on the small side and the screens have small blemishes on them. Location is good with plenty of parking. Dairy Queen and restruants nearby.
Big comfy seats. Good sight lines to the screen. Did not get any refreshments but a lot if people did. Sound was good pre no ie entertainment was interesting.
If I could give this a zero star I would.I went to theater. I bought the tickets online and when I got there they young lady at them window was so rude and had an attitude. Then when I went to get my refill in the popcorn, there was a bunch of employees standing around. They were using the f bomb among other profanity. As well as they were making fun of how people talk differently. They need to retrain the staff in how to work with the public. Thanks god my nephew did not hear them speaking this way.I was there in 9-4 around 2pm.
One of the WORST experiences I’ve had at a movie theatre. The prices are way to high for this rinky, dirty, broken down, old movie theatre. Staff is unprofessional and horrible work ethic. Management should consider hiring older, well-experienced and mature employees that have knowledge in customer service. The air conditioning system was broken down in the middle of a heat wave in northern New Jersey. They should have deducted from the total expenses or closed the movie theatre down until they make enough money in profits to fix the air conditioning system. Definitely will not return to this movie theatre. This theatre is worse than the Fabian 8 in Paterson center city mall.
This theater is old and either made me sad or a feeling similar to sadness. If youre looking for a liminal space where reality is somewhat thin, this is kinda that. They also showed the film I wanted to see.
Great staff, good sound and picture quality, comfortable seats, great service and snacks.
We are a frequent customer. Comfortable newer seats (dont recline) and the place is clean. Hit or miss with the popcorn, as they put a topping on it b4 popping & sometimes its SO salty. I prefer non salted & add my own, but they cant do this. If u do a large combo you get a free candy. They only able to have 1 person to sell tickets so the lines can be ridiculous! They do have 2 machines inside to buy tickets, but cant use the prepaid discount tickets you get from costco or bjs!
Quiet, clean, comfortable seating and good service.
I love bow tie compared to big names like AMC. It really feels like you’re watching a movie in your own house like a home theater. The seats are very comfortable. I have been to 2 bow ties and both of the seats were same level of comfort compared to AMC where seats vary from very comfy to very uncomfortable.
Small theatre experience that is clean and easy to navigate
Nice little theater sound could of been better
Nice place didnt like when movie was done there was no employees to greet us out was only 4 people left in the theater and no employees anywhere for the last show ending at 1130.
This place is AMAZING! i come from the UK and came here because i have cousins at the US, i never had a movie like this in all my life! even though the prices are a little to high... its great!
Great atmosphere. Clean theatre. Incredible prices. Love this theater
Felt like a/c was on when it was 25° outside and heat would have been nice
They should clean the place,it was very dirty
Found it really confortable. Went to see venom and not more than 10 people there!!
When i first went there years ago, it was a United Artists theater that competed against the smaller Valleyview Twin theater, an RKO Twin, Willowbrook Cinema in the mall (which became the Little Theater), a drive-in (where the Loews/Sony/Loews Cineplex/AMC stands), and the biggie the loews multiplex. It soon became a Clearview Cinema and then Bow Tie took over and renovated the seats much like what AMC did years later..and this is before Cinemark opens their 12 screen behemoth right across the street from the AMC next year. If this theater closes, it will mark the end of an era for this theater.
Cheap prices but the cinema is kinda old.
The theater where the movie was showing had a private party in it. Party didnt exit it until 15 minutes after the movie was supposed to start! There was an empty party room to add insult to injury. Man with the theater offered us to sit in a theater *in the middle of the movie*. Nice offer but why would we want to go into the middle of another movie?! Theater was small and flat. Luckily, there were so few people that it didnt impact our views. Definitely wont be going back.
Loved this theatre. Really gives you that towny theatre vibe. Big appreciation from a city girl.
Absolutely HORRIBLE. THE KIDS INSIDE HAVE NO MANNERS, ALSO NOTHING WAS EVEN SET UP. SO MUCH FOR A MATINEE. ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE FOR KIDS. THEY MUST OF BEEN BUSY. END OF RANT! !!!!!
Need help seats broken but a quiet not to many people place. Needs remodeling big time.
Great seats, less crowded, & better prices. Nice employees too.
Excellent small theatre. Most comfortable seats Ive ever been in for a movie.
Nice clean and quiet Theater
I have been to 2 movies there while on vacation and, while the snck bar selection is so so, the experience itself was worth the fair price of admission. The theatre was clean and staff were helpful and seemed to care that you had a good experience.
Nice cute theater and convenient to travel to from my home
Great place, not a ton of movies and some of the ads before the previews were heard but not shown
Its hot out and didnt feel like there was ac, but a friendly place
Raised the price to $7 instead of $6 on Tuesday nights but still a good deal
Has a few theaters. Great for birthday parties. Nest grocery store to accomplish more.
Good theater. But we are sad they got rid of the family 4 pack.
Comfy seats, reasonable prices.
Nice theatre. Clean, rarely crowded, ample parking. Couple of restaurants nearby.
Great clean movie theater
Air conditioning was very weak snacks very expensive
Good place to see a movie, clean, spacious and comfortable seating
Good seats and great location
I grew up with this theater. I went here with my friends parents sister, this is probably the best accessible place in wayne.
Attended a private premiere birthday party with my kids. The leather reclining seats are very nice.
Been going here my whole life as I live nearby. Food is a bit on the pricy side as everyone says but seats are clean and its a nice place. Sometimes they are limited on movies and only show 4 at a time.
Great place for a movie. Comfy seats.
The staff is fantastic, extremely well managed, everyone there seem to be down to earth, and the place is very clean.
Amazing seats amazing food and amazing viewing but the food is pricey
Nice theater close t home
Nice small and quiet cinema jut dont go on $6 tuesday it gets packed
Visited this cinema since its near my home. Its overpriced for the value. The Screens are small. Popcorns are costly and they dont even provide trays to carry them. Overall, not visiting again.
The only clean movie theater in wayne. If a movie is not showing here Ill wait for the dvd.
Great and cozy theater with very nice managers and great food, could reduse prices, overall: awesome theater but pricy
Great theater, very clean and comfortable.
I enjoyed it very clean and quiet
Creed. Great movie

Place is a joke . Worst theater wish I could give it a zero people talking the entire movie food being thrown people fighting while movies play.
