Like going back in time to be present at the time of Jesus’ birth. You feel like you were present at our Lord and Saviors birth. Very professional.

Special place. I keep explaining it as basically a Nativity-themed renaissance fair. It is a small village on a few acres, with every volunteer staying in character at all times as they live their lives while dropping contextual comments about their role in the nativity. I drove 2 hours from Tyler (3 hours with kids!) and it was certainly worth it.

Such an amazing night of remembrance. We got to experience firsthand what Mary and Joseph had to go through as they were trying to find a place for Mary to give birth. You get to see the manger, feed farm animals, talk with Bethlehem merchants, see Roman soldiers, and best of all is feel as if you are a part of the Story of Jesus. The event is located next to a Presbyterian Church who were the most warm and welcoming people who really embraced us. They held a Ugandan children’s choir who sung and danced a couple of Christmas songs. It is a night not just for families but also for couples and for friends who want to experience the nativity story in a first hand experience theme. A night to remember! Will probably go next year with a larger group of people. The event is free and donations are welcome if you feel led to give to this event.

We try to attend every year. They have done a great job of telling the birth story of Christ. The kids love the activities throughout the village. They especially love the animals. We try to take people each year who havent gone.

This is our second year to go. Its a very nice way to spend an evening. The town goes all out on this event in an effort to recreate the sights, sounds and events of that time. They have live animals including sheep the kids can pet, a donkey that Mary arriveds on, and 3 camels. There are many small shops where the shop keepers are demonstrating how they make their goods and little campfires around the make it all feel real. They also have the tax collectors tent, the inn and the manger. Its free to enter but a donation is really appreciated.

Wonderful recreation of the town of Bethlehem and the experience of the Christ child coming into the world. The townspeople and traders bring the ancient culture to life and pass on the Shalom of God. This is an annual family Christmas tradition for us!

Its been a long time since I last visited. Super crowded. Some things were hard to hear because of faulty speakers or actors too quiet, and then there were other visitors whp talked a lot, too loud, almost to rudeness. Camels showed up before wisemen. They start the narrative every half hour and you can follow the story through the village, but I never really knew where it started. It has become a bit more commercialized with lighted halos, etc which also take from the ambience. So, kinda mixed emotions on this one.

I enjoyed my visit to Bethlehem Revisited. I would have liked to have gotten some good pictures but the lighting was not set up for that unless you got really close to the structures. The Baby Jesus with moving arms and legs was a smart idea instead of using a real baby on a cold night.

Live birth of Jesus retelling by local church. They have a permanent walled Bethlehem village(kinda neat) on about a two block area. Live music(church choir- ok),church members acting the story characters (bout as good as it sounds) and live animals playing themselves...camels, goats sheep donkey the works ( real animal smells and landmines but the ones they get seem truly invested in their parts). Think of it as a bible story petting zoo. Good luck getting the little ones to pay attention to the story no cover but ask for donations. Cool for kids. Watch your step . Yes camels are mean and they do spit and bite just like in the movies

A unique experience traveling in time! Every year on the first two weekends of December, the community od Waxahachie goes back 2000 years in time and recreates Bethlehem. You can walk among the actors dressed in period clothes and interact with them. You can go to the different houses of a Bethlehem street and see the blacksmith, the baker, the weavers and many more patiently explaining about they jobs. You can see the Roman soldiers and be a witness to all the Chistmas events. The kids have fun looking at the live camels and sheep, and is hilarious how actors react to 21st century technology, if they see someone with a cell phone or smart watch (sorcery!) . You will not regret visiting this place.
