Good atmosphere, a lot to do besides axe like pinball, pool, skeeball, air hockey, etc. Full bar, no food.

Finally got to throw some axes and great fun, I kept all my toes and fingers. Will do it again.

Throwing axes and drinking beers! Heck yeah! We stopped in one day just to check it out. This place was fun but the AC in the building sucked. Especially when you are drinking and tossing axes! Stay safe out there!

This is by far my most favorite place to throw axes. Ive been to several others and this place beats all of them. Its open, roomy, has a nice bar area, has pool tables and other fun games. The coaches teach you and then let you be to have fun with your friends. You can throw overhead or one handed. Some places make you only throw overheaded. They are not too expensive either at 70ish for an hour and a half total for two people. I also liked the axes. Will definitely go back.

We had a great time! We were there for a birthday party and did the axe throwing as well as an escape room. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We supplied our own food but they had an assortment of beers and sodas available for purchase. There is an upstairs game room with 2 pool tables and 2 dart boards. I loved all the TVs especially since we were there during sunday football. Very entertaining place. Im surprised how much fun we had throwing axes. Even our 70 year old dad did it. The ones who did an escape room finished it with 7 minutes to go! Highly recommend.

Fun! Great date night activity. You throw axes, make a mess, take out frustrations... whats not to love. Also the place has a perfect atmosphere for axe throwing. And the employees are great.

My first time in. Ill likely be back and I hope to write a more detailed review. It was a decent experience with good service, clean bar however, the couple of beers I chose from their large menu, they didnt have. I ended up leaving a little dissatisfied (because I couldnt get a second beer because of the shortages they were experiencing). Otherwise, it was a nice quick stop before we headed to our movie.

We came in to check out what the place was about and saw they had escape rooms. Their website for booking the room was broken so we went on in, thought maybe their site was just buggy. We went in, saw some waivers and so we read and signed. No employee ever came over to us or greeted us or explained the waiver system. We started to walk towards the dining area and bar and the bartender stopped us and said we had to go back and sign waivers. We told her we did, and she was very rude saying well go get them then when she was standing less than 15 feet from them as they were at her counter. Regardless we did, she gave us name tags and said we are full so I dont know what youre planning on doing. Very taken aback we asked if we could go look around. The place was actually pretty empty and Im not sure why she said that. We would have gone for just a beer or food even if the escape room and throwing was booked up. We found another employee working the throwing area who was very nice. He explained how everything worked even though we didnt have reservations, and explained they no longer have escape rooms and they have been gone for a while now. He asked if we wanted to be set up for a later time and we would have had we not had other reservations later. The initial bartender at the front could have learned a lot from him as far as how to talk with customers. Overall an unpleasant experience from the moment we walked in due to one bad employee and confusing/outdated advertising.

Place had a great vibe fun, tracy the general manager kept everyone engaged, laughing, and drinking from there 100 beer choices.Its an amazing sat night for couples night, big group or just to have a drink and watch the Game on There 25 TVs. Will be back next sat.Thanks tracy for theJ.

Had a fun time with a bachelor party. The instructor (I forgot his name) but he was fun and did a great job. Look forward to going back and playing more games instead of learning.

Expensive, poor experiencePrices are way higher than they should be.Place was quite understaffed. There was far too few staff to properly instruct and coach groups at throwing.Boards were falling apart so the axes wouldnt stick. The one guy trying to fix them all couldnt keep up.Their new setup is inordinately loud. Just pop a Tylenol in advance for the splitting headache youll have after a few minutes in here.Very disorganized. About half our visit time was wasted standing around waiting for staff to check us in, do the waivers, teach us how to throw, take our money, etc.

Had a great company outing! Dalton was great teaching and guiding us with the Axe throwing! The bartender was so friendly as well!

It was a lot more fun before they renovated. It is much less interactive and therefore less fun

It was amazing, axe throwing was a ton of fun. Mel taught us how to throw before we played team games. She made it a really awesome experience. They also have a huge beer menu. I will definitely go there again.

So fun! My wife surprised me with this plan, and I didnt know whatvto think at first. The young lady that was with us showed us what to do and made it lots of fun. Both the guys and gals in our group did great and had a blast. So much more fun than bowling!

This was a great place to get together for some Axe throwing. Great instruction, pool tables, bar, escape rooms, and axes. Only criticism would be that they closed at 9 PM and we would have stayed later.

This was fun!My friends had their joint bachelor/bachelorette party here a few weeks ago. None of us had ever done any axe throwing, so we had no idea what we were walking into.I can definitely say that we had a great time at Lumber Axe! I loved how the different games were played, and they all made sure to include each member of our group multiple times. You never felt like you werent getting your turn.The employee who oversaw our session was great as well. He was extremely helpful with his tips and explanations of the games.If you have a group and are looking for something fun, new, and/or different to do together - go throw some axes together at Lumber Axe!

Walked in was there 10 minutes never had anyone say a word to us and there may have been 5 ppl there apparently they knew each other and was occupied. Very unprofessional

A fun way to spend an hour or two.

Its one of those places that you go to if youre into it. They have a cozy bar, axe throwing areas, escape rooms, and an upstairs are for darts and pool.If youre going due to a group/work/party group and suddenly realise that axe throwing freaks you out, youre gonna have a bad time. It just wasnt for me.The place is loud and does not have comfortable seating, so if youre sticking out your stay for the others in your group, youll (again) have a bad time.The staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Also, my party leader was refunded due to me not throwing, so that was a plus to staff.

Stopped in for a few Sour Monkeys and had a wonderful time! The bartender Megan was extremely helpful and welcoming. The whole place has a very comfortable yet fun feel to it!

Awesome bar located in the back of a strip mall off of Bluemound road. Next to Home Depot, but DONT turn into the Home Depots enterance. Axe throwing is literally like a therapy! The axe coaches are friendly and a blast while your group throws. The beer selection is like none I have encluntered, with over 140 different craft beers. Theres also darts, pool, pinball, puzzles and even PULL TABS to play while you wait for your reservation. The seats were incredibly cozy, I barely wanted to stand up!!!! 10/10 recommend.

Great time drinking a wide variety of beers and getting lessons in throwing axes. We all had a great time competing for bullseyes. The instructor was great and helped us tally up scores and lead the games. Definitely go here to let out some stress and throw an ax. They have escape rooms too but didnt try those. Has an up north woods feel inside the place.

It was horribly hot inside the escape room. Some clues from the previous team were not erased off of 2 items in the room and that made things confusing to say the least. Very anti-climactic ending to the scenario, we didnt realize we had escaped until our host chimed in on the baby monitor to tell us we had won. Will give it another chance, and the axe throwing looked cool, but in comparison to other escape rooms this seemed sloppy at best.

The planning or booking of rooms could be done way better & when calling a business people who go through the formality to call would much rather talk to someone than being redirected to the website

I’ve been there twice in the last two weeks, one time by myself and the other time with a group of my friends. the entire place is awesome. However, what put it over the top and made it entirely memerable was the bartender, I think her name was Meghan. She was hands down an amazing bartender, she was super helpful in answering all of our questions and if she didn’t know the answer she tracked down the answer for us. Not only that she didn’t try to lie about what beer was really good, she was upfront when she said she wasn’t a beer drinking but told us what most people drank and what the couple she had tried where like. She was really personable and I had fun talking with her. I can see this becomming our regular hang out with her as a bartender.

It was a fun experience but this place lacks activities to do besides just throwing an axe. Some 2 cent balloons would have made games a bit more fun. Also our reservation was at 730 and we got there at 715 and waited until 750 for our lane to be ready because the group before us was late on their appt. So we thought we would get an extra 20 mins at the end, but they cut us off right at 9 so we had to pay for the group that was late. Bar was decent and not overpriced.In response to the owners comment, when you book the lane online it says you get 90 mins. Maybe youre referring to 75 mins after 15 mins of training from the staff, but we definitely didnt get even 75 mins of throwing time. Dont recall the coaches name but she ran through a list of games extremely quickly. I understand balloons are for special events, but Im saying its a cheap and easy way to make games fun vs just throwing at a target the entire time. Im not complaining about this part of the service, just a suggestion.Went back, had a much better experience. The coach directed us the whole time so there wasnt any downtime as we sat trying to come up with game ideas.
