I love the dog park. The only thing I dislike is that the small dog area is a hill. The large dog area is huge. An outhouse is right by the dog area. No water available. Friendly people. A few benches. There is shade available. I recommend this park. :)
It’s a very great dog park that is well maintained. Best part is the difference sections for small dogs and big dogs. The park is very clean and organized and the run areas has wooded areas to walk and the open field has big trees which allows for good shade. There are also plenty of benches for people to sit and enjoy the park as well. This is one of the top 5 parks on my list. Would always recommend bringing your dog too.
Great space. Nice sections. Decent little short trail on back end. Not just a big open field. We’ll be back. Oh and the other owners and dogs were friendly.
Minooka Park - Dog exercise area. There are two separate areas: small breeds and large breeds. We went to the small breed area. It is a large space where the dogs are able to roam and run. When we were there, all the dogs were very friendly and behaved. The people were friendly.
Mia loves going there every morning to take her constitution and Chase squirrels
Big off leash dog exercise area with pretty wooded areas/trails.
$5 entry fee for a day pass, but it is a great park! 2 HUGE large dog areas, one HUGE small dog area, and walking trails around the fenced-in areas! This is not specifically a dog park (there is a community beach, picnic areas, and the public trails) but it is a great place with lots to do!
Great place to take your dog to Rome freely and play with other dogs. Separate areas for small and large breeds
Its wonderful and mostly clean. Dogs get to play with each other and Chase ballsSometimes its like watching a dog show. There are many beautiful and diverse dogs that go to the dog park. And all are well behaved. With the exception of mine who is learning to play with the other dogs. Its wonderful
Great park. Fenced in. Small and large breed areas.
Great people and freidly dogs and all around great atmosphere. Didnt realize how big the big dog section was until we ventured over to the other side. Lol
Love it!!! Its huge and pretty and clean.
Great dog park. Large fenced in areas, separated for large and small breeds. Well maintained.
A beautiful, very nicely kept dog park for your furry friends to play. So far, I have not met a dog that didnt like my dog. Thats a happy thing.
This is the most amazing dog park we have ever been to with our husky Taimyr. Everyone was so well mannered and the secret trails in thr foliage are perfect for a private frolick with your dog. 10 out of 10.
Groomed, well-tended, bags available, separate big and small dog spaces. Reasonable admission fee into whole park to include dog park
Excellent park great condition and lots of dogs
My dogs love to run there. Just make sure you bring water for them since there is not any onsite.
This place is great. Really big fenced in area. and has a separate area for little dogs.
The park today was a great. Experience. The other owners I meet where very nice. While all of our dogs played and walked together. The other owners and myself walked and talked. This is the only dog park I will take my dogs too.
Two large dog parks to let the boys run and play. They have one for smaller breeds and one for the larger breeds.
Such a cool nature park. Parks are HUGE and services are good. 3 runs for various sizes. Great for all dogs and pups.
We love this dog park! We stop by every time we come down to visit family. Our two huskies LOVE the huge park - and so do we! There is are a couple paths that you can walk on, but otherwise you just walk in the grass, which is no biggie. Wish we lived closer to visit here more.
Manooka park is an excellent place to take your to play and socialize. Its well taken care of and has plenty of parking.
Love the fact they have individual areas according to the size of your dog. Our dog loves to play with other dogs here.
Lots of space for dogs to run in a friendly environment.
Great dog park.
Nice place to bring you doggy friends. 5 stars if bathroom is updated from just a hole in the ground.
My dogs and I absolutely love spending time at Minooka Park. Great place if you have smaller dogs. Dont forget to pick up their poop and bring water.
Great place to walk the dog in a completely enclosed dog park. Very well kept up
Always clean and welcoming. People are super friendly too and the dogs all play so well together. We love to come here!!
Great park, but they are closed way too often. Owners should be able to have discretion on where not to walk if the conditions are wet in the pens. But we love going when open!
My favorite place to take my dog! Huge areas to play along with a lot of trails.
This is one of the largest dog parks Ive been to, its definitely the largest in the Waukesha area. They have plenty of space and there are always other dogs there.
GREAT SET UP... PERFECT FOR ALL DOGS... WE WILL BE BACK :-)
I love that the dog park is separated by size. Most of the people that go are friendly. They did some renovations, taking out garbage cans and replacing them with dumpsters, outside the gates. Not sure how feasible that is. But the land is well kept and people actually pick up their dogs waste.
Both small and large areas with plenty of room for all to run.
Great place. Friendly dogs and people. Nice mix of open area and trees. A bit muddy right now but not too bad.
Great place to take your dog. Theres a fee to get in or you can buy a county pass for the year. Also has separate areas for small breeds and another area for all dogs. 4 stars as there wasnt water available. Bring water and a bowl, a couple foldout chairs and relax while your dog has a goodtime.
Our little pup loves this dog park, a lot of space to offer. There is a small and a large breed exercise area, and she can fit in both. I do agree with another review, they are closed far too often. This is the closest dog park to us, and we would like to frequent the park much more often and just give the dog a bath when we get home, but it is often closed because of weather conditions. You should always be able to check online though, which is a positive.Water for the dogs would be nice, as I have seen that at other parks, but other than that, no real complaints. Great space to take your dogs, but dog parents, if your pup isnt as friendly, please walk them around the trials of the dog park rather than letting your dog roam free. My pup got bit for walking by the park bench that a dog had a ball under it and was possessive of just other dogs walking near.
Its nice for the.dogs but the people are snobs!
Such a good place to bring your dog! Lots of fenced in room for them to run and play with each other!
My dogs love this park so much. When i drive them there they always get excited!!!! They love how big the area they can run in and everyone that brings. There dogs there so nice my dogs live them!!!!!! Even set up some dog play dates from the nicest people/dogs ive met there!!!!!! Would give this park 10 out of 10 for dogs and children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A huge, gorgeous park with sections for small and large breeds.
Theres an area for bigger dogs and one for smaller dogs. Our pup loved exploring the wooded area of the big dog side.
Great exercise for me and my dog..
Great place to let your pups run and play
Took our dog to the Minooka Dog Park for the 1st time. He is a 1 yr old mutt that we got a few weeks ago from the Humane Society. We kept him on his leash for a bit and then let him free. He did well and enjoyed his time there. It was a little intimidating for me as a new owner. But I would go back.
Probably the best dog park in Waukesha county. Dont forget to get your annual Waukesha county park pass to skip paying at the gate.
Minooka used to be my go-to dog park, even though I live :25 away. But they need to update their site more frequently in terms of whether the dog area is open or closed. Because it is hilly, whether it is open or closed greatly depends on how the weather has affected the terrain (totally understandable!) But, I cant tell you how many times the site said they were open but after my drive I learned nope, closed. I was informed they only update the site with that info 3x week, last being a Thursday. A lot can happen weather-wise before the weekend. And yes, you could venture a guess based on the weather but that doesnt always pan out. If its dry, go. Otherwise, take a few more minutes to drive to Mukwonago Dog Park.
Beautiful dog park! Clean and well and I mean very WELL taken care of. Beautiful. My Golden Retriever loves it there. Definitely worth the drive from Franklin!!! Dont get out there too often but I always meet the nicest people and dog owners there also.
Gets the puppy tired
Will not go back their again people are so rude in the dog park. My dog wanted to play with another dog and the guy put his dog on the leash and told me that my dog was making him mad alls my dog wanted to do was play
Nice area, great walking paths
Two parks. One for big dogs and one for little dogs. Huge area. We love taking our dog there
Its a REAL gigantic slop fest of mud in any way season and sometimes in winter, its sheer ice! However if you get there and the weather is and has been fair, its a great place.
Nice big area if you want to bring your dogs to run around. They have it broken down into sections based on the size of the dogs. Everyone seemed friendly and considerate of each other. And of course the dogs had fun playing together.
Wide open area. A couple acres of land to run. park requires $5 daily admission.. Or pay $32 for 1 yr. Also bring water as there is no fountain
Our Sadie loves it here! Well kept and people even pickup others poop. Sometimes you arent always watching your dog. Fenced in area so they get to explore. Poop bags available, others share water bowls. Great place!
Great place for my dog to make friends.
Huge space for dogs! Very well kept area.
Great place to let your dogs run and play with other dogs. There is the occasional scrap, but really all it is for the dogs is just a little more loud vocalization. So I use the word scrap loosely. There is a space for large breeds and a space for small breeds. I was in the large breed side, and there were some other small breed dogs in there so you dont have to just keep your small dogs in the small area or your big dogs in the big Area
Awesome as always
Nice dog park. Consists of three separate areas. One if the areas can get quite muddy
Nice expansive dog park with great spaces for dogs to run and play. Park can get a bit crowded at times. Be careful of the nooks and crannies throughout the park with heavy vegetation where it can be easy to loose track of your dog.
Live this park, it’s worth the drive, it’s big, lots of walking to do too! It’s clean, people pick up after their dog, and nice dogs n owners nothing bad to say!!!! bring ur own water
Excellent facility for dogs of all shapes and sizes, closed a lot due to conditions so check before you go. Clean and well maintained
It is a good dog park depending on the type of dogs there.
Great place, lots of wide open space for dogs to run, and people to walk and enjoy the natural beauty
My dog loves the park. We have been going there for 8 years. The people and dogs seem to get along well, we have made lots of friends going here. Highly recommend this park, Waukesha keeps it very nice.
Great park. Close to home. Half-mowed.
Awesome, very well thought out.
Amazing amazing amazing! I believe I reviewed already though... 10/10 favorite park!
Great open space, but is a dog free for all. People dont always handle their not very nice dogs so you have to be careful with who is there that day.
Love this dog park and visit usually once a week. It is divided into three different sections for all size dogs. For the most part the people and other dogs we have encountered have always been friendly. However, we have seen a few altercations..between different dogs and owners. If it has rained be sure to check the Waukesha county website to ensure that they are open as they do close a lot due to mud. If it is closed the Mukwonago dog park is also very nice!
This dog park is by far the best My Husband and I have been to. Its completely fenced in, and extremely spacious. The dogs and owners are fantastic! Totally worth a visit with your favorite companion!!! Just make sure to bring your own water along.
Minooka is always great. On rare occasion, there is a grumpy dog, but not often, and not this time. Happy dog, happy dog dad.
Love this park. Our dog loves it too. The people and dogs are fun to visit with.
Very well maintained, enormous fenced park. There is a large dog area and small dog. Some trees and bushes to sniff and benches to relax on.
Nice trails, huge dog play areas... separate ones for large and small dogs...great park!
Love this dog park. Large areas and various topography.
One of the best dog parks in the area...
Great dog park!!..separate areas for large breed and small breed!!
Great place for dogs!
Minooka park in general is a hidden gem. The dog parks are well maintained and generally populated with friendly people and dogs.
A great place to take your dog for a run or play with other dogs.
My dog loves it here! Weekends can be a little busy, so we prefer during the week. The trails are well maintained and nice for walking as well.
