Difficult to hear clues being given especially since there is a bar with axe throwing right outside the door. Would be better if you could just read the clue on the TV maybe. Some clues and puzzles are difficult to follow and understand since they give no direction at all about what to look for to figure it out. Also the one lock in the room probablyshouldnt have the key for it literally right next to it. Also helps to make sure the room is set correctly so we can actually use the clue to get through the door and not need the game master to come move props around mid mission.
Unfortunately this was one of the less fun Escape Rooms Ive done in Milwaukee. There were four of us in our group and 3 others we didnt know. We all worked together fine, but it was extremely hard to even get started on the puzzle in the room. Most Escape Rooms that weve done at least give you a hint or guide you in a direction. But we had to ask for help almost immediately (and by immediately I mean after about 20 minutes of trying to figure it out ourselves).A lot of the puzzles were too difficult to even guess at how to solve. The room we were in had a number counter that went from 0 - 100 and back to 0. It just kept going. We finally had to ask what we were supposed to do with it and they told us that we were supposed to press the button to make it stop on the same number that was displayed before it started counting. Never in a million years would I have thought to do that. Nor was there any indication that that was what we were supposed to do anywhere in the process. There are far better Escape Rooms in Milwaukee than this one. Go to one of those.
Man this place was awesome! Two levels of beautiful decor, Great friendly staff and wonderful beverage selections. So much to offer in the three separate escape rooms! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and trained well on throwing the axe with precision! Me and my family will be back again!
Lots of fun, very challenging. Clean environment but the stuff prematurely helped us with clues we didnt ask for as if they were getting impatient. Overall good experience, will definitely visit again.
This place was awesome! Ill definitely be back with a group of friends.
This was the first escape game Ive ever done, so I dont have anything to compare it to, but it seemed to be set up rather randomly. There were 7 of us doing the underground racecar themed room; although Im sure only two or three people would have been sufficient in solving because there could only be one step solved/unlocked at a time.
Fun. Great time for kids and adults. Remind the kids to keep the noise down since there are latches that release and you might not hear them. The kids were trying over and over to unlock something unknown and were too loud to hear it and wasted a few minutes. Still had fun and still completed mission
Had a fun time! We did have issues with one of the doors unlocking... Wasnt working when it was supposed to. But otherwise it was fun!
Axes were so much more fun than my exes! Would toss some axes again!
AXECELLENT! Activity choices from Escape Rooms to darts, pool tables and of course axe throwing. Will need to go back to try and get a record time for the escape room
Axe throwing escape room what is not to love.Whole lot of fun
Mission breakout is far superior. We got to tear the room apart for Cromwell Manor. The raised grain sponsored room is sterile and boring
Great ideas and technology behind the puzzles. Now if the tech worked right and if it wasnt so linear it would have made it SO much better.... Got stuck numerous times and the endgame was exposed about halfway through the puzzle all due to faulty tech. Still we didnt know what it was or what it had to do with the room. Ideas and technology get a solid 4 stars, execution gets a half star. Felt pretty let down afterwards.
Its fine, escape room puzzles are doable but sometimes dont flow well.
The first time I went to an escape room, we drove through increasingly sketchy neighborhoods until we got to an old brick factory building. We werent sure we were in the right place until someone came out in a white lab coat. Once inside, we were locked in a room with a zombie and had to solve the puzzles to get out. Every five minutes the zombies chain got a little longer. It was really an adrenaline rush and a real escapist experience.Escape Chambers was...a letdown in comparison. Just another storefront in a strip mall. Inside were four doors leading to four escape rooms. We did The Naughty List. Our task was to switch Santas Naughty List with his Nice List. There were a couple of problems. One was that the puzzles had to be solved in sequence. So a certain action would trigger a certain response ONLY AT A CERTAIN TIME. This meant that even when we had figured something out, we didnt know it. The other problem with sequential puzzles is that when you have eight people in a very small space trying to solve the same puzzle, half cant even get close enough to see it.Another problem was that they had technology issues. We finally had to ask for help. The staff member gave us a hint, and we told her wed already figured out what to do but it hadnt worked. We got an oh. Hold on. Now try the door. The latch had gotten stuck, so even when we solved the puzzle we didnt know it because the mechanics didnt work. There was a timer on a screen showing how much time we had left, and it got stuck at 27 minutes. So we had no sense of urgency until one of us pulled out a phone and realized we had five minutes! We did accomplish our goal with a couple of minutes to spare, switched the lists, and...nothing happened. Maybe we were supposed to cover our tracks? So we started putting props back where wed found them. Midway through a staff member came in and said, So, how far did you get? We told him wed switched the lists, and he said, Oh. I guess you escaped, then. Can you say anticlimatic? When we came out into the lobby, we overheard another group talking about how one of the mechanical puzzles in their room didnt work, either. Talk about frustrating! There is an art to creating an escape room that really makes you feel like the scenario is real. This one felt like a cheap imitation. Half the price, a quarter of the experience.
We did the CIA bomb defusal room as a group. This is the best venue of this type Ive done yet!
The recurit room was sooooo much fun! Definitely will be back!
It was a lot of fun staff was, friendly and a pleasure to work with
This activity was fun for a winter day. However it was not as exciting as anticipated
