The place is nice. There were a lot of plants there that I have never seen before. There were others still that I have rarely seen. They take really good care of the plants there. There is a section dedicated to pollinators so this means bumblebees and honeybees. If you have an allergy it should be fine as long as you do not have any jerks with you. The bees will largely ignore you unless you are wearing a sweet/floral scent. The sculptures themselves are very abstract for the most part. It is fun to try to get into the artists mind for some of them. There is also a singing exhibit. It says the length of the songs are 8 minutes but it felt more like 4. Also the 2 way mirror exhibit needs to be restored. Good time but go on a mid spring or mid fall day. 89 degrees with 60% humidity was not fun.
One of my favorite gardens filled with wonderful sculpture. One of my favorites is the Burghers of Calais - so inspiring! Unfortunately, the Garden is closed instead of allowing ppl to enjoy the art, even though the Smithsonian Institutes website says its open. Maybe soon?
The two new sculptures are amazing additions to the Sculpture Garden! Such a beautiful place to sit and relax.
Simple, outdoor activity that is both beautiful and cultural.
A hidden (a terraced area below street level) gem, this garden has several sculptures by Rodin (my favorite) along with a nice variety of other artists work. I want to get Subcommittee declared DCs official sculpture. Definitely worth a stroll.
They are so Happy to saw the sculture and about the the history
I can’t say I was overly impressed with the current assortment of sculptures. A few did grab my attention.
Beautiful fall day in the gardens
Quiet refuge on the Mall
I love this place. Fantastic!
I am not a fan of this type of sculpture but there are three things I like about this place: First is the restaurant. Second is the little house that appears to rotate as you walk by. Third is the shiny metal tree. There are lots of trees for shade to sit and rest. Food prices are high but worth it. Restrooms are around back of the building.
Beautiful day to stroll through
Interesting sculptures along a pleasant walking path
Great small garden area with a few treasures by Rodin, among others. Yoko Ono’s Wish Tree is there also. Worth a visit to a peaceful somewhat secluded area across from the museum.
Some nice artifacts, along the beautiful pathway.
Very impressed. Stumbled on it by chance while heading somewhere else. Worth a visit.
Outdoor sculpture garden with well known works of Rodin and the wish tree from Yoko Lennon. Nice environment in spring, summer, and especially autumn.
Nice place to visit, relax, enjoy the art. Best part - never crowded.
One museum thats open!
This sculpture garden is lesser known and much quieter, but a very lovely place to get away as well as to see some great Henry Moore sculptures among many others. Being terraced down a few stories really gets it away from the traffic noise and bustle.
Amazing work!
Great open air art park with skating rink
Normal modern art.
