Very nice community center. Even in these panic-pandemic times gives a lot of outdoor oportunities to enjoy - playground for kids, picnic tables, chess tables, wifi and several grass fields for team sport.

The splash park is the highlight of my little boys day whenever we go to the rec! It is always nice and clean! Oh, during our last time there, I loved it when the DPR Employee checked the attitude of a young man misbehaving on the playground! I am a believer in the saying, It takes a village! We need to see more people like her!

King Greenleaf Recreation Center is a great place for all to hang out. There is a nice basketball court, exercise room, game room, and much more. You can even hold special celebration events there. Also, on the outside, there are two different playgrounds and a splash park. Yeah, King Greenleaf Rec is like that. In the heart of SW Washington DC which is developing into a spectacular area of DC. King Greenleaf recreation centers is okay but great for children I used to go there for the exercise room but their staff is not that respectable towards certain people mainly female why I dont have no idea I thought you supposed to respect all people that come inside no matter whether you like them or not because I have some type of dignity and respect for your job when youre working especially at a recreation center but they dont they dont speak they dont want to tell you any information voluntarily you always have to ask and then you dont get a response right away you have to constantly say excuse me and they dont give you their names they have their picks searching female it comes through there to want to join the gym thats inside so most people dont go in there unless they really know the people that works in there the female workers are so disrespectful and nasty it doesnt make no sense if some of the males are two they join in with the females that work there that was my experience and I saw them treat a lot of other females and some other people the same way they treated me and it should not be that way ever at King Greenleaf recreational Center for the public whether you live in the area or not they need to go through the air and remove song and get a whole new staff from top to bottom because you cant complain because they wont do anything about it because they all act the same and its ridiculous I say go to the YMCA of Northwest Ill go to the recreational Center of northwest O Street can green leaf is not a good recreational Center not anymore

This is a nice place and needed for the neighborhood. This will get a lot of use and will make a difference in the area.

King Greenleaf Recreation Center is a fine rec center, but its outdoor playground may be one of the best in all of Washington, D.C. There are two parts to it. On one side you have a large and tall actual playground with one of the biggest slides Ive seen for kids. Its new and well kept. On the other side is open space for kids to run and plenty of benches for parents to take a break.

King Greenleaf is a great Recreation Center located in southwest Washington Dc.They have 3 basketball teams,and fun activities.King greenleaf is mostly for the kids.In Closing, I really like this recreation center.

Decent center with indoor and outdoor basketball courts and tennis courts. The childrens playground has also been renovated and it is really well done. Probably one of the nicer playgrounds in the city. The only problem is that there are always adults loitering in the toddler section drinking and smoking.

Good condition, still. Rules for use of the field is sketchy. Staff are nice though.

Cant believe this gym is closed on Sunday when most of the people would like to go to the gym before heading back to work on Monday. My boyfriend took me down there 3 time during the week days when the gym is almost empty between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm, we only saw one staff sitting at the front desk, we both thought that maybe theyre closing at 9:00 pm so people will show up late. Guess what, we did check back in after 5:00pm, its like the playground of the elementary school, i guess the eldest of the people in the gym are high school teens, not even an adult. We moved from Bethesda to dc 3 years ago, this gym was used to be a very old and lack of maintenance gym, 2 years ago, after Mr President visited here once and within less than 4 months, its been turned into a brand new gym with a completed high quality full basketball court, all the people living around would expect its gonna be a great change like the Mr.president promised a lot to us, but lack of the management, and not effectively put into use in the right way, now its been almost 2 years after its been renovated, this gym is kind of the example showing that where our tax money goes into a wrong way in the district. Ive to say this city is not the city 12 years ago, seeing all the great changes taking place around the yards,and southwest waterfront, we would like to see the real good changes in this gym too, open late close early (their hours is till 9:00 pm, thats a lie), and closed on Sunday, they should really do a research on other real community centers in nearby cities, or maybe start hire a new center manager not just because the current one living close.

Huge nice updated playground, for both older kids and toddlers. Also has swings, which are rare in DC parks. The only reason Im giving it two stars is because there were about 12 adults sitting on the toddler portion and were unwilling to move for my 2 yo daughter. They were clearly drinking and using drugs, which is probably why we were the ONLY PEOPLE THERE! So sad since this is such a nice renovation.

Great customer service, an excellent workout equipment.

The gym is great. Small but new appliances and very clean. The center also has outdoor tennis court for adults amd 2 for children, outdoor and indoor basketball court.It is free for DC residents. It also has brand new playground for kids.If you are using the gym keep i mind they like to start cleaning it at 8:30pm.

Best place to go to the sit down and relax watch people play games like basketball and to exercise and exercise room

I take hand dance classes there on Saturdays from 12 to 3 and it has been a remarkable experience that I am enjoying to the fullest

No visitors parking & they are very quick to ticket your car even if your picking up or even dropping off a loved one... security not very polite.

This Gym is basically a waste of taxpayers money, went down there couple times around 1030, the staff said the gym is not open till 1700 when its reserved for summer camp? But you can clearly see theres no one in the gym but one staff at the front desk and the order higher rand staff sitting in the office ( day dreaming!) And went back around 1700, wah..... full of kids at different ages chasing each other with non sport shoes on along side or right in the court, eating snacks right in the middle of the basketball court, and the staffs still there act like theres no one in the gym. Next time i will remember to bring my phone to take several pics . Would only give 1/2 start if I have the choice.

They feed and help with the neighborhood children as well as keep the children off such unpredictable streets playing.

This is one of the worst recreational gyms I have ever been to in DC so far. I have called the gym or rec about 5 times just to ask if there was extracurricular attivites going on, and someone picked up and said what you want. Yes sir (attempting to hurry my question) and they always have something bad going on in or around it.

Itd be better if they didnt have the usual guys out front smoking weed.
