The REACH extension to the Kennedy Center is such a nice upgrade. On the warm days its a beautiful place to just be outside enjoying the weather. There is alot of grass Ive seen people having picnics here, there is art sculptures around to admire. There is also a small cafe that sells wine, beer and food. I came to sit here and get some work done, the views are great. I think if you are near here you should definitely take a walk through.
This review is for Victura Park at the Reach, a pop-up wine and coffee bar over summer 2020. We went on a Friday at 6:00 p.m. and were able to order and find a table very easily. They have all of the tables spread out and require masks if youre not eating or drinking. Just outside of the pop-up bar area is a big green hill of the reach where people can picnic as well. Youre not allowed to bring in outside beverages, but you can bring in outside food. They only accept credit card. You have to order before you could find a table. Its a better bet to get a bottle of wine for $24 than to get a glass for nine dollars. The pop-up park is baby and toddler friendly. We brought our 18-month-old and we saw a couple with a newborn introducing him to their friends. We went on a date that was very temperate and cool outside, so we were very comfortable. They have umbrellas at most tables which I think would help with the heat, but it would get pretty hot outside. Would definitely come back.
This is a rather interesting interior. Very convenient to the bike path on the Potomac and right next to a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.
Victura pop-up wine bar is an amazing tranquility spot between Georgetown and the National Mall. Great views, safe atmosphere, light drinks and good prices! Recommend for sunset; bike friendly
Beautiful escape right inside the city. Great for a picnic and buying a bottle of wine to relax with for the afternoon.
KenCen does it again with a huge open space great for picnicking and outdoor events, and indoor exhibition space.
Surprisingly beautiful space. Well staffed. Parking was easy during pandemic but hard to figure out initially.
Beautiful outdoor space! Take advantage as much as you can, because winter is coming
Their outdoor picnic area and refreshments are perfect for a socially distant sunset hangout.
The Kennedy Center is a beautiful space in the center of Washington DC. Art is infused in every part if this experience from the Great architectural design to the serene setting and spacious grounds! This place hosts so many great cultural events and performances many of which are free! Check out their website. Theres always something going on! Highly recommended.
This is an incredible spot worth many repeated visits!
Location is really nice, but the atmosphere is a bit off with the highway right next to the seating area
Outstanding venue as part of the Kennedy Center performing arts center. Beautiful architecture, wonderful spaces, not intimidating at all. Perfect for kids and adults, open until midnight so you can go out on terrace to enjoy the Potomac River views.
The REACH is a new campus right next to the main Kennedy Center building with the goal of democratizing inspiration. It’s a campus for all people breaking the barriers between the audience and art.The campus itself is three buildings above ground and a world of theaters, spaces, and classrooms underground. Every element on campus is named after something in JFK’s life. For example, one of the classrooms for children is named Macaroni after Caroline Kennedy’s pet horse. These rooms host local artists offering dance classes, performances, and more. The designer wants visitors to pay attention to what’s there and what’s not. To that end, there’s lots of open space. Above ground is the largest green roof in the city with gardens and pathways. There’s a cafe and at some point a full service restaurant.Everywhere you turn will inspire creativity and connection. It’s a beautiful space truly for the people.
We heard about this place while it was under construction and really looked forward to visiting. We finally got our chance during a recent visit to DC and were really impressed with its architecture and design. There were no events when we visited, so we just walked around and watched a short video at the theater. Definitely planning to see an event in our next visit.
Closed for now but the grounds are pretty.
The REACH at the Kennedy Center was an incredible two (2) weeks of on the job training, education and meeting people from all over the world become one in their solid, unified passion of seeing the creative arts campus come into fruition. Hats off to ALL the folks who were involved. I am glad that I was able to witness the burgeoning, and opening day crowds and watch fantastic dance performances from our young people. Its a fact, I watched history unfold!
The ambiance was very nice and conducive to families.
Great place for a socially distant date
Lantern Fest celebrating Lunar New Year. Displated around The Reach. Wonderfully colorful and playful. Bring the kids out to enjoy the display.
Went once and was told I need to email (not call) to make a reservation. Sent an email, never heard back.
Really cool new addition to the Kennedy Center! Saw Flying Lotus here and it was an incredible experience!
Wide open space by the Kennedy Performing Art Center and the Potomac river. Excellent view and friendly/down to earth environment for outdoor concerts.
We loved the Chinese lanterns, but they were under prepared for the crowds.
Nice outdoor space to relax
An absolutely gorgeous space. The architecture (which both contrasts and fits right in with the KenCen) reminded me of NGAs The Edge with beautiful open spaces as well as triangular nooks and crannies. Its more a collection of around a dozen venues, from large outdoor open areas to small intimate studios. I cant wait to see what sort of events and shows they hold in this space.
Opening Day has been a really fun experience. Lots of events every corner you turn. The App helps a lot.
Was cool to visit cant wait to visit for summer concerts
This facility officially opens next week. Its open for the first time ever today as part of the annual Page to Stage Festival. Despite a few first performance ever technical difficulties, it looks like REACH will be a great addition to The Kennedy Center campus.
Beautiful architecture and fields. Great studios and places for performances.
