Ive seen several Washington Stage Guild productions at this location. Hard Times was very well done. Just four actors portrayed dozens of characters. Easy to see and hear everything clearly.
The actors are top-notch! My only qualm is that, for the production of Hard Times, only 4 actors had to play all 19 or so roles, so it was sometimes hard to keep track of who-is-who. I wouldnt mind paying more for the ticket if there were more actors, but I guess you get what you pay for: tickets were very cheap.
Bravi! Bravi! WSG portrayal of Dickens Hard Times is excellent theater, very well directed and very well performed. The four actors did a marvelous job of differentiating the various characters -- no mean feat with so much coming and going. The changes of scene worked well and very smoothly.Dickens moral tale is timeless, and this adaptation to the stage is warmly recommended.Four of us thoroughly enjoyed this memorable performance.Bravi! Excellent cast - life lesson wonderfully taught
Just saw See Rock City... what a delightful play! Very nice production and wonderful actors.
Fun little theater with great big ideas and heart!
My friend and I attended a group of short plays by the Act@25 theater group. Nice venue, not too small or too large. Really hard to find, though. Its in the lower level of a UMC church and the entrance is not clearly marked.
Always great!
A great theater company - Ive been going since they moved from 14th Street about a decade ago.
Great venue. Nice people and very clean.
A company that focuses on the works of Shaw. Always quality work that Wally plays with language.
Amazing and thought provoking theatre
