Depending on the type of party you are into, you may have a great time. If you go early for happy hour, its pretty cool. After it gets late, it gets packed and the place is not that big. You will also leave smelling like smoke. Good crowd, just go during HH.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First off, I absolutely hate this place. I went here for my birthday with friends. We were approached aggressively by security and told to move because we were “too close” to someone with a section. One, the guys in the section were talking to my friends and two throughout the night security everywhere was telling us we can’t be somewhere. Between all of my friends, we paid over $100 to get in. I expressed these concerns to the manager and he did not CARE. I was having a horrible birthday experience and me and him proceeded to go back and forth after he hollered at me. I told him we were leaving and he had SECURITY “escort us out” as if we did something wrong. I’ve NEVER been escorted out anywhere. Fast forward to my friends birthday yesterday, which she also had here (LITERALLY dragged my feet going). We had a section and decided to party in the other part of rosebar for a bit. My friend was taking pictures and I stood near her to make sure no one photobombed her as people out having fun and drunk tend to do. A guy in a section (similar “get away from our section behavior” from the last visit) must have asked me to move or tried to get my attention, my back was to him and I recall telling him “she’s just taking a picture real quick” and doing absolutely nothing to provoke being assaulted. This drunk man proceeded to push me WITH FULL FORCE, I fell down in heels and my ankle snapped. The security guard nearby kinda laughed and did NOTHING. I had to go to patient first today to find that my ankle was badly sprained and limped around the whole night. I didn’t like this place before but THIS was a new low. This place needs to be SHUT down! I have pictures of both my ankle and medical slip. These people here are RUTHLESS.

Rosebar Always has the best music best crowd they get it in and the service is amazing

Not my first choice when it comes to nightlife/clubs in dc. Its so small. 75% of the club is VIP & bars. The rest is just over crowded. The music is great for hiphop, rnb, top 40s and rap. The drinks are expensive for no reason.

Its a lounge/club (20 to get in on a Saturday night). They offer hookah, bottle service and reserve table.Pro: two separate sections with different music.Con: They allow people to smoke cigarettes or whatever else in side.

I paid for a section and table at Rose Bar for my 24th birthday. My friends and I were having a great time until I was dragged out of the club for no reason given by security. I have video and pictures of my injuries from this altercation. It was very traumatizing for me because I have never been put out of a club before, and as a second year law student who works very hard n the weekends to even buy a section this was not my desired outcome. I will outline the series of events that lead up to me being physically removed from the club without any of my belongings. 1. I misplaced my phone and believed I may have left it in the bathroom 2. I walk to the bathroom line and when I get to the front and tell the bathroom security attendant that I am looking for my phone so can I just check the stalls. (I have two of my friends with me) 3. the bathroom security either didnt hear my question or was just in general just very upset and rude to me. He said something to the affect of I dont care what you have to do. and I responded, whatever I am just looking for my phone 4. I proceeded into the stall looked for my phone and saw it wasnt there. I left the stall assuming the phone was in my section. 5. so as Im walking past the bathroom security attendant again I am approached by a female security guard who tells me II have to leave. 6. I ask why and for what I was then given no response. 7. I asked if I could get my purse phone and coat she said no 8. I ask why and she gave me no response. 9. from this point she physically put her hands on me push me, pick me up drop me, and push me down the stairs. 10. I ended up falling somewhere towards the middle of the stairs. (I have video as well) 11. Finally, outside I asked to speak the manager without my phone, coat, or purse. 11. the manager comes and I ask her why was I removed and she says an altercation transpired 12. I asked with who, when, and where and she said she was not sure. 13. I was never allowed back in the club nor was I given my money back. The right backside of my head has been hurting and is swollen, my knee is scraped, and I have a scratch on my arm. All of this because a bathroom attendant was very rude and wanted me kicked out for asking to look for my phone. This was very unprofessional and security did not do their job because they had no right to put their hands on me because I did nothing to them. Security escalated the situation and had no reason to not allow me to retrieve my things before dragging me out.I could have been more seriously injured. A friend of my sustained an ankle injury on the steps as well because she was trying to get the security guard off of me. I am a female and I was wearing a dress and heels there was no reason this should have escalated this way and I am embarrassed and traumatized by their unprofessionalism and disregard for my safety after I spent money to be there.

AVOID THIS LOUNGE AT ALL COST!! They double charged me for one and they have a server there who will forge your signature and pocketed $800 cash and will not fire her. It is videos of security footage sent to me by the manager and receipts that completely do not match my signature to prove it! Her manager does not care if an employee of such behavior is still working for that establishment, he still backed her up even though she stole from me and the company. Also, the server admitted to this and begged me to help her keep her job! I am now seeking legal assistance against them due to fraud and forgery and all i wanted was a good night out for my birthday! It’s now a nightmare and definitely NOT worth this stress to my family and I. I am completely disgusted with this establishment. Don’t waste your time and money here! Plenty other lounges in DC near by!

Cool Atmosphere, Great Service, DJ Everything was Lit!!!

Im from out of town and came out on a random Saturday. It was packed but a really good vibe overall. Staff was friendly, and genuinely made sure everyone had a good time. Nicki was my waitress. She had a great presence and attentive to the table.

I can totally understand policy when it comes to being there by a certain time to get in free.What I dont understand is how you all are okay with your patrons paying crazy prices for drinks. Went to a day party, it was okay... $9 for a rum and coke tho. The DJ was fine during the first two hours and then started mixing weird stuff also ended up repeating songs. Its a bit snug in the lounge part...but the ambiance was nice. I may try giving it a second chance.

Monday nights are fun, usually picks up around midnight. Your clothes will smell like smoke the next day.

I used to frequent here in my early/mid twenties...went by recently and the bouncer told me theres a $20 cover charge...I was surprised and told him it wasnt like this before and he said dude, we werent even open last year...I didnt bother arguing with him and went elsewhere. Honestly it is not worth the cover charge..its a small bar/dance floor nothing special. There are at least half dozen nearby places with better experiences without cover...Side note: Stop letting John Wall come here to party. No wonder hes doing a poor job of being a leader of the basketball team, he cares more about partying than keeping himself in top shape and winning.

The lounge has potential, however the workers seem a little uptight. If youre one that likes to dance and enjoy the people around you, this is not the place for you. I liked the option of having two different dance floors and bars. It wasnt my taste, but to each its own.

Rosebar is an overall nice establishment. The VIP section on the patio was, however, very overcrowded and took away from the ambiance.Update 4/24: Rosebars GM reached out and that is fairly unsual so I will bump these stars up to 4. It is nice for places to personally respond to patrons.

Went there and spent $300 dollars on drinks while also buying people drinks. Got kicked out for asking a bartender where they disappeared to, after telling a manager they were not good with customer service and shes emotional and they have bad customer service, she decides to kick me out. If you are conservative or a successful person in life and want to have a good night avoid this place... I asked to speak with the main manager and the security treated me like I wasnt a customer. The cover was $20. And I was assaulted on the way out. I will never go back to this place because of that terrible experience. I told the police officer whom they had on payroll and he literally said he didnt care about the assault. Officer with badge number DC 4136.This happened at 2:30am Sunday November 25th.

Nice lounge and bar. Outdoor area is great but always gets super packed. Not for those who like space. Hip Hop DJ does a great job on Saturdays at night and during there frequent days parties. Would give it 5 stars if the patio/rooftop had more space.

The venue is pretty cool and the decor is nice. Major downside is staffing. They had one bartender at prime time and they were running around trying to get orders.

Crowded and lively group for Tuesday night. Be aware of patrons enjoying a bit of green not okay with it.

Hookah at main inside bar was electric and barely had any smoke. $60 for a fake hookah after being required to buy $100 worth of drinks should get you farther. I’m giving this 2 stars because the venue is otherwise pretty lit in ambiance and music, but spending over $200 here for subpar hookah is just not worth it.

This place is trashy, classless and unorganized. My friend had her birthday here tonight. We were moved to three different VIP areas and the last area was crowded, double booked, and the bouncy consistently man handled all the ladies in my party. We arrived at 12am and didn’t get seated until 1:30. The event planner was not prepared and had very little information to give us concerning reservation which is surprising with all the money that was spent between my party. This is it for me. This is the worst establishment I’ve ever been in. The the experience I expected to have was horrible. Please close this club down now, I don’t see this company being in business very long!

This is not for the upscale, classy, business professional nor the grown and sexy crowd. I attended this place on September 2, 2017 for the first time and I wasnt impressed. I could say so many negative thoughts about this establishment although what bothered me the most was the rudeness and aggressiveness of the bouncers. I felt more threatened by them to the point I want to make a formal complaint against them. I felt like I was physically assaulted by them when 3 of them busted in the bathroom and grabbed me out reason being I didnt stand in a line that I was unaware of to use the restroom. I never in over the 30+ years of life experienced that. Unbeknownst to them they manhandled a government employee who handles criminal and civil court cases daily for a living. I might brush this off. I will discuss with my colleagues Tuesday at work, however even if I dont pursue any legal action; Im ensuring that I tell anyone I know who enjoys the D.C. party scene to not attend this classless place. Their bouncers are abusive.

Rosebar is the craziest thing I have never see! I arrived there with friends the guy ask my ID, I gave him. he look at it maybe 2 second and said it was a fake one! I ask him how does he know it, he didnt even check it ? He said I DONT KNOW, I JUST THINK ITS A FAKE ONE So I ask him to ask someone else to check, so the other guy arrived and said I DONT KNOW MAN, BUT IF YOU SAY ITS A FAKE ONE THEN IT MUST BE A FAKE ONE and ADD MAINE ( where my ID was from) IS SOSO! He started to ask me my date of birth I told him what it was, and then he ask me what was my highest degree and I told him I was from Switzerland so its not the same that here in the US, but he was so stupid that he was keeping asking me the same question.They dont have a way to check an ID they only look at it not even scan it, or use what ever to show a fake ID or not! If its your lucky day you can get in if not you can go home what ever is your age! I was really angry and speechless about how stupid the security was!I put a start just because for some reason I cant put nothing, but this bar doesnt even deserve one!If you cant even recognise IDs from your own country, you better change the way your check IDs!

Went there for my birthday, the original table I was promised to me, I didnt get, told me Id have to wait 2 hrs to get it, when they moved me to my table, they didnt move my hookah. Then when closing out my tab, I signed for a certain amount & they charged my card $200, over the authorized amount. I have been trying to get in contact with someone over the past week & havent been able to. I will never go to this establishment again!

Recently went to the Rosebar Lounge after being referred there from a Sales Associate at YSL. My guests and I got in with no issues and went straight to the Rooftop section. Very Chic out door setting; crowded but fun. Music was great! Drinks were great! Ended up in the roped VIP section because my friend knew someone with bottle service... Typical club scene... Im not a basketball fan but my friends were excited to see some player at one of the tables. We danced and had a blast! Ill be back to D.C. for my friends bday and I recommended this spot as a turn up option. Go with the intention to dance and have a blast not standing looking cute or ppl watching and youll have a good time.

Me and bf are regulars on tuesdays we always get a hookah which is $60. However one of the bartenders with long black hair is always so rude to us and tells us we have to buy a table for $500. Which is not true we’ve always gotten just hookah for 45-60 bucks. Every other person we’ve asked has told us $60. They need better bartenders she was very rude on July 3rd. The vibe was bad and when you walk in all the girls are sitting down on their phones acting like the place is whack. Not the type of vibe a place wants. Good music but the customer service needs to be better. We left that night and went to hiest they allowed us to sit at a table without buying all bottles until someone bought the table! Hiest was amazing I suggest that place over here.

Drinks are overpriced and watered down, no seating unless you buy a table/bottle service, the table pricing/bottle service varies per waitress you ask, and I could never get a definite price. The staff is very polite. The bartenders serve drinks in lace bras, high waist panties or shorts, and fishnet pantyhose. All of them were fair skin and ambiguous. Not one of the bottle service girls looked African American or Latina! They were borderline rude and outright dismissive if youre not a man or tipping. The dance floor area is tight and narrow. Although they have 3 bar areas, again the drinks are small, overpriced, and weak. The rooftop area is trash, all you see is other buildings around or the backsides of raggedy buildings next to the building. The crowd was mixed with some being from Howard U. Most of the people were standing around watching others, watching folks in VIP, or trying to get into VIP. This had to be the most ackward, weird, and money hungry place I have experienced in D.C.

Cozy spot, like real cozy. Sometimes its hard to get a drink when crowded. DJ is always on point which is a upside, the downside is there is no where to party.

Next time I will trust the Yelp reviews. My friends and I went for the Cinco de Mayo day party just to catch up and hangout. Half of the the appeal was the rooftop party. Unfortunately most of to was roped off for VIP tables. When we inquired about getting a table the bouncer said they were all reserved even though it was halfway through the party and 2/3 of them were empty. The poor dj just couldnt seem to feel the mood of the crowd or decide on whether or not he wanted to play slow jams, throwback hip hop or newer music as he kept hoping from one to the other. On the upside the drinks were strong and cheap.

HORRIBLE PLACE STAY AWAY. CHARGES $20 TO GET IN AND $20 PER DRINK AND ITS NOT WORTH IT. PLACE IS DIRTY AND QUESTIONABLE.

This club doesnt do nothing but scam and put their hands on people. When I went there my boyfriend was jerked out of the club and beaten by FIVE of their security guards for no reason. His phone and jewelry was also stolen. The guy recording the incident had gotten slapped in the face and his phone taken a way as well. When I was outside of the club I seen them drag out another guy also a woman who appeared to be unconscious. They didnt even call the ambulance for her; they just left her on the ground and I heard one security guard say oh well Im not dealing with that. My boyfriend and friend also got doubled charged for their drinks they ordered that night. I wouldnt suggest this club to anyone. They mistreat people and the police that came wasnt any help. Almost like they worked for them.

They typically dont have lines tbh but last night long line Seen the bouncer get aggressive (while the young man regained calm) with someone who had just left out and trying to show his stamp to re-enter and the. Bkucer. I said let me step out line. I have been inside when there was no cover so they are entry free sometimes but staff are rather tense and short. Expensive drink alert definitely of or about $20. At Rosebar You can have a good time on a good night but its going to be because thats what you made it, and good day for them. Idk Not a must go spot for me, and even less after last night cover price.
