Very impressive experience. Clean and new just about everywhere, seats don’t feel like you’re stuffed into a theater, recliners are very comfortable. The rows are separated by walls so you only seen the screen even if you’re in the law row.Photos below are from Auditorium 10, Seat H7 (the back row). This may be the smallest theater here. I didn’t get refreshments but I expect that experience would be decent since the staff I did meet are kind. It’s in the top floor of a shopping mall/food court in the center of Chinatown so it’s an easy drop-in.
Did not have a great experience here. During our visit to DC, my wife and I decided to catch a flick before dinner. Best part of the experience was the gentleman collecting the tickets who was very polite and courteous. Visiting the concessions stand is where it all started. The gentleman behind the counter was not so inviting. I politely greeted him when it was our turn in line and he looked us like we were bugging him; not a word back. We ordered popcorn and a drink, which we only received after his conversation ended with his coworker. So, we take our seats 20 minutes before the posted time, but end up waiting 30 because whoever was running the projector was 10 minutes late starting the film. Then the movie starts...The backlight on the film was dim and there was a blue tint in the middle of the screen for the ENTIRE movie. I was so mad that I wanted to just walk out but my wife really wanted to watch the movie.Good movie...bad experience.
One of the best place to enjoy or spend long time in Washington DC. The location is so perfect that you can get metro in a walking distance. You can have any international restaurants around even if the area called Chinatown. The street shown make the area more interesting. The cinema hall is so many and wide even the chairs are flexible and can be a bed. It like sitting on the business class flight chair. Good light systems and sound system. They allowed me to take cooked food and drinks from there cafe. And the price is fair.Love the place so much
Very nice only complaint is finding parking
The reclining seats are super comfortable, but the floors were dirty. I suspect they are a bit understaffed as it is Christmas Day, so it was not a big deal. The concession stand lady was nice, very polite. I wish I had caught her name, but we were in a hurry to our seats. Thankfully, finding the theatre was easy as well which was much appreciated as we are out-of-towners. The large sign was highly visible from across the street. Overall, we are happy and would return.
Coming in soon to see a 4DX movie...with the new plush seats Im sure it will rate 5 stars
I got to the theater nearly an hour and half early for the advanced screening of spider Man which according to my ticket was in theater 10. Stood in line for an hour to be 2nd in line to go in, while theater staff didnt understand how to control and organize the line. Then they announced that there was 2 theaters showing the movie and split the line. Then staff told me to go to theater 11 instead of theater 10 which made me lose my place in line, then just as I got in, they let theater 10 in. That then forced me to sit in seats on the lower level to watch the movie. All that time was wasted. Truly a terrible experience.
Very comfortable, almost plush. Easy to access. The only downside: 1) It was difficult to get tickets on-line because unoccupied seats were shown as blocked off. 2) The movie was too LOUD.
Wow. My first cinema experience in the US. Not sure if they are all like this but this was beyond anything ever experienced in Europe. Reclining chairs! Massive screen. Good time
I’ve been going here for 10+ years and it’s clear they’ve recently had some major budget cuts that has severely affected the cleanliness and service. While I appreciate the comfy reclining chairs, the rest of the place really needs some attention. I know there’s always going to be a wait if you order something besides popcorn and candy, but the last couple of times I ordered food I waited 20 minutes, and once it resulted in something that was uncooked in the middle, and once the surly guy behind the counter took 8 minutes unsuccessfully searching for pickles.Last visit was on a Sunday night and they were out of several items at the concession stand and out of paper towels in the bathroom.Bathrooms are disgusting and most of the doors in the women’s don’t actually shut. That’s not new though, it’s been that way for years so clearly they don’t care.
There chairs are the best. So comfy and they recline... easy to fall asleep so dont go if you sleepy.....great for getting close and snuggling....
Great theater very clean. All the theaters are on the third floor so you get your tickets on the ground and then head up two lots of escalators. The restrooms arent very big so if you are going at a busy time plan ahead. Also the entrance is set back from the street down an alleyway. Worth going.
Great selection of chocolates, candies, ice cream, etc. High end products from a local DC small business. I love their chocolate!
Great cinema with great service. The food court has many options of food. The theatre is comfortable with great seating. Just like a regular theatre.
Be careful with the parking. Is 3 hours free, if you going 10 before to a 2:30 hours movie you might get over 3 hours parked in the garage, so get ready $13 to pay the “free parking “. Enjoy the movie
Very nice movie theater in downtown DC surrounded by restaurants and clothing stores. Theater was clean and had the usual expensive concession stand. Why are they charging $7 plus for small popcorn? They have the comfortable recliners which you can stretch out. Only complaint the movie was 20 min late we had to find someone to start it.
Really comfortable reclining chairs. But the concessions are so poorly staffed, there were only 2 cashiers on duty (out of 6-8 registers) and the lines for each were 30 people deep. I stood in line for nearly 20 minutes. Ridiculous. This kind of nonsense is why people bring in outside food. Also, the $9 cup of wine is literally 1-2 ounces, more like a shot. Come on!
Individual seat reservations... Nice concession staff; lots off theatres / movies to choose from... Shares entrance with Caps and Wizards; Metro center metro stop area sometimes experiences violent crimes.... Huge Clydes next door. Big mix of lots of people. All ages and backgrounds. If you want something more tame / attracts older crowd, check out E St cinema.
I really like this theatre. Im pretty sure theyve done upgrades in the last few years. Comfy seating, large theatres
Great place. Movie was excellent. Popcorn was tasty.
A bit small but I dont mind that at all. Good experience with comfy seats and short lines. Definitely would go back.
Recliners in some theatres. Nice stocked refreshments. Be sure to validate your parking. It is good for three hours.
This is my go to movie theatre in DC. The theatre is clean, staff is friendly and the overall experience during the movies are respectable people. The theatre can be busy at times but I’ve never had any issues.I recommend.
Most modern theater Ive visited in the NOVA-DC region. Quite comfortable seating. Decent picture and theater sound. Abysmal concession stand service though; very slow service during a high-volume period.
The antiseptic experience. In China town down an alley. Next to Verizon center. Often a bad element hangs around. The box office is in the middle of a reception area. One side leads to Verizon. Hope there is not a hockey match. You can buy tickets at machines or go to the box office. There is an idea cream store Thai resturant. Sports bar etc......But nowhere to sit and wait. The food is at outrageous prices. You can get senior tickets at cars in times. Escalators and elevators. No outside food allowed. Expect to searched. Small multi theaters goid seats. The obligatory previews at reading volume. Its designed to watch a movie in and out. If you want eat something worse than McDonalds at a higher price. Does 3 and 4 D at a higher price. Has security and the longest list of things you cant do...including sit down in the reception area.
Do you like watching movies that have an unnatural blue tint in the picture? If yes, then this theater is for you. If you’re a normal person, go somewhere else. The projectionist doesn’t know how to maintain or operate a projector. The management will laugh and disregard your complaints.
I would never recommend anyone going here the security is beyond rude, and should be fired for theyre disrespectful behavior. Ive asked one of the people working there a question they looked at me, and just walked away like I was invisible. I just left if your security, and staff treat people so poorly how is this place even opening. In fact it seemed like discrimination against a certain group of people. Train your staff and security better than that before you get a lawsuit.
High def 4dx, helpful fun cool staff, pricey as hell. 5 stars because the ladies on staff made my date smile.
Great location near the metro and lots of food. Typical movie theater. Fine quality, some weird interactions with the staff that were less than desirable but if this is the closest theater we would go again.
Love the seating arrangements and the fact that its a clean movie theater! It definitely was an awesome experience. I am very pleased and will be returning.
The 4DX was why we came all this way for it and it didnt disappoint. I was very surprised how clean and well organized the place was. I went on a slow day, no problems of course but I advised to see the movie in regular format first because it may not be the same experience seeing a certain movie in 4DX
I do like this location. Comfortable seating. Easy access by metro. But, Im taking stars away because the movie was close captioned and I did not see a notice about it.The subtitles were really distracting. It took me a about ten minutes into the film before I was able to ignore them. Not trying to sound like an a**. It just was a surprise. I was not expecting it. Wish there had been a notice ahead of time so I would not have been caught off guard.Second reason I deleted a star is the film was too dark and the color saturation was too low. This was my second viewing of Captain Marvel and the first time I saw the film, the picture was perfect. The colors were crisp and popped. I saw it at a different theater the first time. A real shame since the visuals of this film are very cool, if you could see them.
Pretty good place to go see a movie. I still want to check out the 4dx features, but in general, this theatre is cool. The recliner seats made the movie a little more comfortable.
Nice movie theater. Better to early like before 5pm.
My first movie visit at this location, tickets are purchase on the first level and the theaters are on the second level. They actually have a concession stand that serves beer and food. Nice size theaters to enjoy the show. This location has a variety of other shops and entertainment inside such as, Lucky Strike, Starbucks and restaurants to actually enjoy a meal right here. Take advantage of the underground parking lot and have a great day or evening. A gallery right in the middle of Chinatown.
This is a review primarily for the theatres 3D 4DX movie experience. And let me tell you: IT IS WILD. We went to see Captain Marvel in 3 D4DX without fully knowing what it is, so when the seats starting FLYING AROUND, vibrating, punching us in the back, and spraying water at us, we were a bit stunned to say the least! What could have been some kitschy ploy to tack on to an otherwise good movie, 4DX really enhances the experience when youre flying in an airplane with Captain Marvel or getting punched in the back by Orlando Bloom. The 4DX experience goes FULL THROTTLE, so be prepared!
4DX didn’t work. Couldn’t get management to do a thing about it or even address the issue. Turning down the heat might be nice too.
Great theaters except 4DX. They dont do enough to explain what the heck youre signing yourself up for- basically a cheesy amusement park ride where your seat moves (basically randomly, its not synced to anything going on on screen very well), water is sprayed on you, etc. If thats your jam great, otherwise is just utterly distracting
Good theatre. They need to fix the ladies room bathroom stall doors though. Most dont latch.
The staff is very nice every time I come. 4DX seatz r boss!!! Reminds mi of Universal Studios...Also, they have full accommodations fi persons wif disabilities. And the recliner seatz r bomb fi back problems.
It was clean and and had comfy reclining seats. They only had one person selling tickets when I arrived so that made things a little slow. You can buy tickets on the Regal app if you are in a hurry.
Cleanliness: The theater was dirty, with popcorn and trash in our preselected seats and soda spilled all over the ground. The walkways in the theater and even by the door leading into it were lined with discarded popcorn, plastic 3D glasses wrappers, and other trash. We asked for it to be cleaned, and had to ask again at 5 minutes before the showing. A person came in and cleaned our seats specifically and nothing else. Then, during the previews, a cleaning crew came in and continued to pick up trash and sweep. They were out when the introduction credits started rolling.Equipment: The aroma dispenser smelled like rancid oils every time it went off. It was highly distracting Three of the water misters would eject water straight up into the air like a small squirt gun and would do so out of sync with the movie. The seats we ended up relocating to (due to cleanliness issues) were malfunctioning when they tipped forward, moving in very jerky motions when all the other seats were moving smoothly. The air hose at the bottom of the chair was not attached and repeatedly whipped against my legs in a painful manner. About halfway through the movie, the fans attached to the ceiling on the right side began swinging and banging against things, making loud metallic sounds whenever they engaged. To top it all off, the theater indicated that the movie was 3D, but it was not.
A great place definitely, but I have a question if I wanna go and watch a 4x 3D movie do I get the 3D glasses at theater or do I need to take my own ? ( first time watching a 3D movie :v )
Great experience. I reccomend you see all your action movies there.
I WAS CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY, AND I WAS HAPPY TO TREAT MYSELF TO SEE IT, I SAW THE REMAKE TWO YEARS AGO ON MY BIRTHDAY. THE THEATER WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN, THE EMPLOYEES WERE GENUINELY HELPFUL.
Absolutely terrible theatre with poor seating position. They charge exactly same for the front row seat so you would think its not going to be bad. But you would be in for a surprise. Front row seats mean that you wont be able to watch the movie at all. Its bad for your neck.
Pleasant experience at Regal, comfortable reclining chairs, friendly staff. Only complaint is that when you purchase tickets online, they dont make it super clear when purchasing that you might be getting tickets to a showing with subtitles. Perhaps it was my oversight, but I usually have diligent eyes, and I overlooked this. Just make sure you dont buy tickets to a showing with subtitles if you dont want them!
Was my first 4DX experience. Movie started with no sound. Management fixed it. 4DX chairs though cool concept are super uncomfortable. Sitting in a hard plastic chair for two hours made my butt fall asleep. Definitely a theater to see an action movie in. More of an amusement park ride than a movie theater. Hard to eat your popcorn.
This was a 5 star movie theater but they removed the 3D from the 4DX :(
Good theater. Reclining lazyboy chairs. Good theater foods.. especially the nachos theyve got bigger bags for the tortilla chips, and jalapenos (: good date spot.
I feel like Im always going to the movies and Regal is definitely the place for me. They have rewards and this location in particular has 4DX which is my favorite theatre to sit in. Sadly they dont always clean after every show and often there would be popcorn left in the seats next to you and possibly in front if your feet.
Seats are comfortable but expect to spend the majority of the movie in line for popcorn if you want that
I mean, its a movie theater. Smallish screen, comfy seats, pretty good sound.
Love this movie theater. The wide isles, huge, reclining seats are the best! Harriet was powerful, riveting!
We are on vacation to DC and went to this theater it’s terrible. The people who hangout here are not good quality people and some of the staff seems not very attentive. We were watching a movie and 2 large groups of people in the theater were non stop talking, yelling and laughing. My husband and I waited to see if it would quiet down, but it just kept getting worse so we went to the guest services desk and ended up waiting for 20 minutes because nobody could find the guy that was supposed to be working the desk. We did get a refund, but we lost the service charge since we ordered online. Bad experience all around.
Nice movie theater. The staff seems lacking with Customer Service Skills. When we arrived and stated our purpose, the guy said stand over there..... after 5mins I asked why are we standing here? Then he stated we were waiting for a rep. Another CSR showed up and provided the movie theater we needed. IT WAS THE WRONG THEATER! We were eventually sent to the correct theater but it took, not only us but two others, 7 minutes to finally be seated.
I watched Midway at the 4DX-equipped cinema and it was a terrible experience. Here is what I was expecting, as per the PR release: Midway in 4DX will have the heroic battle sequences of World War II brought into the auditorium. A thrilling combination of warm air, airshots and fog will recreate the action heavy sequences featuring rapid gunfire and heated explosions. And as fighter jets zoom across the sky, the propulsion will be felt through 4DX motion and vibration, the chairs vibrating to the speed and intensity of the jets. (First of all - the movie takes place in 1942, and there were no U.S. or Japanese fighter jets at the time, so this should have been a sign of things to come, but I ignored it.)The reality? There was zero fog, no scents or smoke, and there was barely any water spray (not mentioned but expected due to the water spray in the movie). There was also a machine in the ceiling that made a very loud AC-compressor-style noise a few times (maybe the fog machine?) but nothing seemed to happen afterwards. Also, the seats were extremely uncomfortable and I constantly found myself sliding off them, even when they were not moving around, and they are spaced very close to each other so if youre setting next to someone or wearing a thick coat (as I was), then prepare to be frustrated and distracted. Finally, the nail-in-the-coffin were the so-called ticklers, which could best be described as someone sitting behind you (a small child perhaps) and poking you thru the seat when there was lots of action. I am not kidding when I write this - even the motion of the seat at times felt like someone just kicking the chair from behind (I know this because its happened to me a lot over the years in cinemas). The only things that I felt worked were the warm blasts of air and airshots, which were delivered mainly from the back, but also occasionally from the front. So, in conclusion, paying a premium for a 4DX movie is totally NOT worth it in my book. Go IMAX or Dolby as the screens are larger and the seats are much comfier (I personally prefer AMC anyway but I wanted to try out the competition). Also, to a lesser extent: (1) there was only one (very bored) person at ticket sales, so there was a 10-minute wait (they later added a person when the line got even longer); (2) I was not asked if I was a member when purchasing my ticket, so I had to add the points at Guest Services; (3) the Jack & Coke Frozen machine was broken (and has been for weeks, as I asked if it would be fixed soon) in the concessions area; and (4) there was an inoperative water faucet in the main mens bathroom. On the plus side, the two staff who worked upstairs in Guest Services and checking tickets were friendly and personable. But all-in-all this was NOT a good experience for me, so I wont be back. :-/
Their front row seating is an awful rip off. Way worse than any other first row I’d ever experienced. Everything was distorted and it was generally very uncomfortable to watch. Also the speakers rattled a lot when the volume was up.
Seats were nice but very close to the next person.
Very nice theater. Clean. Very long commercals before the movie (40 mins.) and the popcorn with mostly unpopped corn.
Plenty of good movies. The place does not keep enough staff at concession to deal with crowd of people during holidays. Lines were extremely long, with only two people taking orders. Management did nothing to fix the problem.
Pretty good movie theater to come to especially for screenings since its right next to the metro. Love the recliner seats. You can fully enjoy the movie and be comfortable.
Great seats; sound was lacking in the bass; facilities were just okay.
Decent movie theater. Like that its conveniently off the metro and easy to get to if youre near the middle of the city. I also enjoy the comfortable recliner seats and the fact that you can order beer or cocktails to take into the theater with you.The movie I went to see was a little deafeningly loud, but after speaking to the staff, they fixed things and turned it down a bit.
The staff could not care less about their jobs, they all mumbled, kinda dragged their feet about everything. And they couldnt care about some girls in my room that think talking louder is winning an argument. But the place is clean I guess.
Very nice venue. Wonderfully clean. Bathrooms were spotless. Recliner seating in the theater was very comfortable. Sound system above average and no noise bleed over from adjacent movies. Snack bar prices what you would expect, but can be reduced if you have a Regal card. Great movie experience.
Updated 2/18/20: Not long after my reviewed visit to Regal Gallery Place, the theaters Deputy General Manager, Cordero McGhie, contacted me by phone. He listened attentively, fully understood my concerns, and set about making corrections. His courteous response and effective action (a) made me sure hed taken the steps needed to fix the four seats in question, and (b) demonstrated his and Regals commitment to me as a 4DX fan and customer. So, the rating goes up from one star to the five stars I think the experience, and the theater, deserve.12/30/19Ive been to Regal Gallery Place (in Washington, D.C.) a dozen or so times over the past few years, and love it. It has a great concession area, well-appointed screens, and has a diligent staff keeping things clean and moving promptly. My grief with Regal here in D.C. is that it seems unable to properly support the audience. Wholly indifferent staff met with my problem yesterday: I spent a lot of money to bring family members from Ohio to see the 4DX experience of Star Wars. If you havent experienced them, the seats in 4DX theaters are amazing! As the producers of these seats explain (see Wikipedia): The 4DX is a premium movie format that introduces motion chair and special environmental equipment to theaters with motion, wind, lightning, scents, bubbles, etc. depending on the movie scene. It is a technology-intensive movie theater solution with the number of 79 registered patents and 101 applied patents. Ive loved the seats, and have made a point to support Regal by buying seats whenever I can.The problem surfaced 40 minutes into our show. Wed spent 30 minutes watching previews, while the 4DX theater filled to near capacity. Ten minutes into the Star Wars feature, however, my wife and I and the two of my guests sitting next to me realized there were no effects in our seats. 79 registered patents, and none of them worked in our seats - I assume because Regal hadnt been maintaining the seats. We cant have been the first movie customers whose experience with these four seats failed. So if youve paid premium prices to sit in really cool seats and find the seats dont work, what do you do - 15 minutes into the feature? We could have approached a manager, and maybe - say another 15 minutes later we might have been able to reseat. Or we could have left - and sought a refund. Not going to happen with a movie as important as this one, and I doubt Regal would have considered refunding the premium cost of our four seats. I emailed Regal shortly afterwards asking for a credit for the cost of the four tickets, but thus far have been met by silence from Regal. It is true that we found other seats on our own, without help from Regal management, where the chairs worked, and stayed through the movie. So I have no right to ask for a refund. Still, if you thought you were paying for a 4DX seat and got nothing, how would you feel?Afterwards, I approached the ticketing agent - the only employee I found available - and asked to speak with a manager. She relayed the request over her walkie-talkie, and nothing happened - no one responded, and no one met me. I stood there while she made the same request three more times. Nothing. So I left.My passing recommendation is: Dont book seats F16, F15, F14, or F13 at the Regal Gallery Place 4DX screen in Washington, D.C. Maybe dont go to the theater expecting your seats to work. Have a backup plan to sit in seats other than the ones you purchased.Great effects when they work; it is a less-happy experience when they dont.Chris McNeil
The theater is in the heart of the City. It is also next to the NBA basketball court. The area is busy and crowded when there is a basketball game. There are many places to eat around the movie theater. The seats are comfortable and Popcorn is tasty.
Very nice movie theater in the heart of downtown NW DC. Comfortable seating, friendly employees. Patrons come to see a movie and know what to do to not only enjoy the movie, but make sure others enjoy it too. You wont find phones going off or loud conversations here, just people who want to enjoy a movie. Its downtown DC, so parking is expensive
Great place to go if you like watching movies in a theater comfortably
First-time visitors will find it surprisingly large. Their movie selection is always good. The concessions menu is also diverse and offers everything from the classic movie snacks to beer, wine, and Jack and Coke Icees. Seating is updated and comfortable with the giant recliners that seem to be all the rage right now. My most recent trip was to see a matinee and the service was pretty good. They did not remember to retract the curtains completely so the edges of the picture were cut off. Which was annoying but didnt ruin anything. Bathrooms could have been cleaner but I have seen them be far worse. Saturday nights you might want to carry a couple napkins just in case. Overall, I love this theater and would highly recommend.
Good centrally located theater with all the modern amenities. The concession line can get long so prepare for that. Around lots of dinning options in Chinatown
The Met Opera has come to the Regal and theater 11 has the sound system to support these powerful live performances simulcast from the Metropolitan Opera house in NYC. With the new seats, reserved as well, and the nice people, it adds up to a fine time. Full breadth Puccini. Note: We are not as optimistic about the Encore offering of older recycled operas for the Fathom Events Series because of old and inadequate production values. Current Met Operas, Always Recommended.
Nice clean theater and lots of refreshment options, however expensive. Comfortable reclining seats. I came for a matinee at 11:30 on a Friday and there were very few people. I misread my ticket and thought it said 11:00, showed up at 10:45. I headed towards my theater but was told to wait in the lobby. They were really rude about it. It wasnt what they said, I completely understand that I was early, it was the attitude with which she spoke to me. The movie was supposed to start at 11:30 but it didnt begin playing until 11:45. Not sure what that was about. Overall it was a decent experience, maybe I just came on an off day.
Clean and fun. The staff could be a little friendlier, but Im giving 5 stars for the 4-D experience. If you havent seen a movie in 4-D, I highly recommend it. I watched the Grinch with my 8-year old and her friend, and they loved it. It is a bit pricey though...roughly $25 a ticket.
Regal Cinema add Gallery Place redid their theaters so that you are comfy and recline in comfort to watch, listen to and be totally engulfed in a 3D or 4D experience. Its one of the best theaters in DC outside of the Smithsonian IMAX experience. Come, youll really enjoy the experience.
Great place to see movies and grab a meal afterwards.
This theater is really cool! First off, the mall is beautiful which means its always nice to walk in and look around. Second, its got one of those new 4DX theaters thats 3D plus motion seats and other effects to fully immerse you in the movie. The prices are on par for a big city. The other theaters are pretty comfortable and they have a good selection of concessions. Plus the staff is very nice and helpful.
Great theater downtown! Right next to where the hockey and basketball is played if Im not mistaken
I saw the lion king twice in 4D and the effects were okay (the back “ticklers” are a bit aggressive). The seats were making some noise while they moved, but it was okay overall. But then, I went to see that Fast&Furious in 4D and the movie shutdown halfway thru! First, an employer came and assured us that the movie would resume where it left off. But then? They told us the film would not resume. Very disappointing, and a major waste of time!
Went to see Glory for the 30th Anniversary. Movie started 45 minutes late and took another 45 to fix sound quality issues. Now one came to apologize or offer refunds.
I always get great satisfaction when o go to gallery place for anything
This theater is located downtown DC, you select your seat and the popcorn & soda is oversized - the sound quality is fabulous and they have 4DX the newest in theater entertainment. ..
One of the best theater I like going to. Parking get validated for 3 hrs
The most metro convenient movie theater in town
The women’s restroom had no toilet paper in any of the stalls. None in all 8 of the stalls. Also my movie was cut off at the top. But I did get free parking, so that was a plus? Though the movie did cost way too much to have to provide my own toilet paper.
I love the new stadium seating that is now available... Ive been coming to this theatre for many years now and I will continue. The younger crowd that hangs in the area can be a deterrent but its not as bad as it used to be, especially in the winter time... The movie prices are decent and there is a nice selection of restaurants in the area to visit b4 or after seeing a movie!!!
I came here for the first time with my 2 daughters to experience the 4D movie. After switching/changing seats 3 times, I realized that these theatre seats need some looong overdue maintenance. I think the idea seems really cool but the seats jerked instead of smoothly transitioning. And I know these scenes werent supposed to be in a jerked fashion. It even make loud clicking noises as it jerked. I had to leave the theatre to get some one to come see for themselves before I was allowed to switch seats, only to experience the same jerks but at different strengths/levels.. there was such a long time lapse before the next jerk, that the guy left to attend something else and I had to leave the movie again to go find him so he could feel it. There was never an apology or anything of that sort for all the problem I had even after paying all that money for each ticket AND having to leave the theatre multiple times to question the ride. I dont get to take my kids out that often so it was a pretty big disappointment for me. But not even a fountain drink or anything for my trouble. I would recommend visiting such a place when newly built or in an area/establishment that keeps up with maintenance. Especially for $20-$25 per ticket!!!
Beautiful cinema. purchased tickets online and selected seats. No long lines. There is a bowling alley in same building that is more like a club with DJ and small arcade. definitely a five star
The screen was a little dirty, creating annoying artifacts in front of everything the entire movie. Otherwise very clean with super nice reclining seats tho.
Theatre had no coca cola available and still charged me $7 for soda water. The popcorn was cold and stale, literally the worst Ive ever had. No napkins available all along the concession counter except at two registers.
Solid theater. Unlimited deal worth it if walkable.
This theatre has the comfiest seats Ive ever had during a movie, they recline!! Overall was clean and well marked. The sound and picture quality was great as well. Would definitely go back.
The 4D theater was broken. The management failed to tell the electronic box offices like Fandango this fact to prevent ticket sales that day. As we and many others were getting refunds, we were still able to go to Fandango and still buy tickets for later showings that day.So despite the line of customers who had to get refunds, the management staff was still too lazy to takedown the movie to prevent future customers from being inconvenienced. Parking at Gallery Place isnt free! It costs us $17 to park there for a movie we never got to see!Regal needs to get it together!
Customer service at this place is so bad!! My sister and I had to wait downstairs for almost an hour just to buy a ticket. And when we asked employees for help all we got was rude short answers, “oh somebody should be there” “you just have to wait”. And I mean waiting isn’t the problem but the rudeness of the employees were. There was no one in the ticket booth the whole time we were waiting, we nearly missed our movie. If we hadn’t been from out of town and knew where another theater was we would have left. Worse movie experience EVER!
The seats are very comfortable, the screens are big, the movies are current and the location is great. Im looking forward to seeing what the upcoming subscription service will be like.
