The Smithsonian Castle is one of the many Smithsonian buildings located on the Mall. It is fun to view with its unique architecture and the beautiful garden that surround the Castle. Often times tourists are more focused on the other Smithsonian Museums but this is a great one to relax or to eat outside nearby.

Just love the Smithsonian so much. As a kid, with the excitement of going on a field trip with your friends, you dont get to appreciate the museums for what they are until youre older. Coming back as an adult I was just amazing with all the history, documents, machinery, trinkets, art, and etc. that helped this country evolve. And to be able to visit each museum along the national mall for free was even better haha.***If youre handicap note that the entrance is usually in a different location than the main, usually off to the side.

Absolutely hands down the best museum Ive ever been to. I feel like this is the sanctuary for world history, there is just so much to see!!

I brought my kids here for the first time. They loved it. We marveled at the gems and minerals. They also loved the dinosaur exhibits. I liked the astronomy exhibits, especially the information about the moon and the earth. Of course, every kid has to see the gift shop. FYI: an Astronaut ice cream sandwich (freeze dried) will cost you $6. Is there Parking? Not close to the museum. In Washington D.C,, expect to do a lot of walking. This museum is very popular. Get there early to avoid the long lines.

A great first stop for touring the museums. There is a small info exhibit, gift shop, restrooms, and the staff are centralized to help guide and answer questions.

We stopped in here around 8:30 A.M. while we were waiting for other museums to open. We were just in time for a tour, which covered the highlights of the displays and Smithsonian history. The tour was short and well worth our time, and we finished up looking at the various displays once it was done. The little coffee shop is a benefit, and a great place to stop and rest at any point during the day. One thing - the machine that takes your picture and then builds a composite picture using images of your area of interest (Science, arts, etc.) doesnt seem to work correctly. The composite image is supposed to be emailed to you, but almost a week later we have not received the email with our pictures.

The Smithsonian have a two museum to visit in this complex and the office building. You will go through a quick check of bags and backpacks and you will be able to discover a little of the history of many civilizations and different times.

The castle is worth a quick stop. Good overview and map of all museums on the Mall. Clean bathrooms. Coffee is way overpriced... But its DC, so no big surprise.

My favorite museum! Its free admission too! The displays are beautiful. They have great exhibits. The current fashion exhibit has so much wonderful talent in the world of Indian Fashion. There were many pieces I wish I could own! I love the moccasins! There are three or four large rooms of clothing and accessories on display. Beautiful designs.The museum has the subway right at the front door. Its located close to food spots and Battery Park. A lot of history in the neighborhood.

From tiny tots to teens - will find something of interest at this eclectic museum. In fact, almost too much, but better more than less! I Loved it!

A lively place to visit!!! Filled with the smallest of items, to the biggest of people. One thing you should check is that they poke the same stick into every bag. Which transfers germs.

Adults, or families with children of all ages - from young bambini to teenagers - will find something of interest at this eclectic museum. In fact, almost too much, but better more than less! I Loved!

Awesome place. Make sure you have enough time for this place. Lots to see and learn. Wear comfortable shoes! And theres always a long lineup to enter the museum.

I visited in the 4th grade, 1995! Still to date, The Smithsonian Institute, is my most favorite place Ive ever gone!! Cant wait to visit D.C. and the museum again soon!!

Visited when I was a child and it was awesome. Now that I see they have made a place for someone whose only claim to fame is being disrespectful to our flag, rather than the first Black Supreme Court Justice, I have cancelled my plans to visit again. Shame!

Loved the experience. Its located right by the landing for the ferry. I would recommend it.

My great-grandpa was a photographer for the US Navy for 40 years. Some of his pictures made it in here. Pretty cool.

You better release all the ancient artifacts you keep hidden from the public. I discovered more cover ups of yours and will gladly reveal truths in hopes of another lawsuit against your crimes. Your bible is nothing to keep in line with. I will start a movement against your corporation in hopes to end it if you continue to withhold the truth about some of the artifacts you keep well hidden or destroyed. There is evidence out there of this circling till the right time to file another lawsuit. To avoid this you better comply.

I would dedicate an entire day for this and the Holocaust Museum. Very inspiring experience.

The museum was amazing, but when I come down to get a snack I expected it to be a few dollars and was about $20, outrageous.

Wonderful museums with free admission. Always something new and interesting, check some out when youre in town.

Best place to ever visit if youre here everyone needs to come and visit a good visit should take you at least a week vendors all over the place for food staffs always friendly and they always have something new

My rating is regarding all the staff. The museums are all wonderful. Spoke to 4 staff members for help. The first 2 did not speak English, AT ALL. The 3rd person rolled their eyes and huffed when I interrupted her convo with her fellow employee to ask for help. The employees congregate and take advantage of what is clearly a Cush job. Not only are they not qualified in so much as speaking they are rude and disrespectful. The ONLY people that were polite were the people wearing buttons that said “Ask me” and were right next to the display they were assisting with, they appeared to be volunteers.

My son got a burger and found it was very smash-able, so he smashed it as flat as could. 0/10 burger, 1/5 place (the actual museum was pretty cool); smash-able burgers are NOT acceptable.

The Smithsonian museums are great there will be a total of 20 museums and if you were to spend one minute looking at every single item that the Smithsonian it would take you to 282 years to see everything thats just a fun fact

We visited the Smithsonian Institution museums today for the first time in many years. We wanted the grandchildren to experience the museums. Big disappointment. We found the staff in the stores rude and not very friendly. The price of the food was way over the top in price $65.00 for four to eat sandwiches. The bathrooms were dirty. In addition the security staff at least the armed ones have no professionalism at all. Very sad state that the museums have gotten to.

This is one of the best place to visit.

Insultingi wented there but i felt verry disrspected, i wanted to use thr bathroom but they only bathrooms WERE GENDER BINARY! i was forsed to use the womens room but they diddint have urnals, dont they know some women pee standingg up? also parts of the musem have confedriet flags. THIS IS TRUMP FALT.

Not some place you can stop by in an hour. You need a day or two.

I could spend weeks here. My favorite is the aerospace museum. The security guards need to chill out. They act like theyre secret service. Cafeteria and food courts are OK.
