Old Growth Forest with trails and campsites that are peaceful. A few different trails, but the interpretive trail is easy and not long that highlights the old-growth forest. Beautiful place.

Hearts Content is absolutely beautiful. I suggest anybody and everybody to visit, as there are only a couple of old-growth forests left in PA. Spending time with these very old trees will do you good! The trails are easy with a couple of different length options. A couple of minutes walk from the parking lot will take you to trees over 400 years old. Theres a sufficient amount of parking, some picnic tables and even a little out house thing.Ive been here twice and already look forward to visiting again. If youre passing through or visiting the Allegheny National Forest, definitely stop by here.

This is one of two old growth forests on the east coast that were never logged. See the forest as it would have looked had we never logged. Trees over 100 ft tall, so wide eight people touching fingertips cant always reach each other. Beautiful trails, primitive camping and recreation area close by. Its in the middle of nowhere but highly worth getting off the beaten path to appreciate this magical place.
