Noah was a very knowledgeable and helpful host. We had a very enjoyable time in the sun looking out over the hills.
Pleasant outdoor seating. The host was very informative. We joined!
Beautiful setting out in the deck. By appointment only, they were gracious and informative!
Seems their practice is to not take or return calls. Tried them several times over two days, their vm indicates theyll get back to you after business hours which to me is bad business and not standard for wineries. They did not get back after hours, I received a very impersonal unable to accommodate more bookings all weekend email. Ha. I dont think this sub standard customer service merits a second chance.
Great wines, wonderful staff, lovely, safe environment. Definitely would go again
Hot day needed misters outside. Wine was great service exceptional.
Stopped in for wine tasting here without a reservation. They were able to accommodate us and we did the full wine tasting. Interesting wines with lots of varieties and blends. The tasting room is more like a restaurant type scene with tables large tables a sofa and other furniture upon which they serve you like at a restaurant. The service was very very good The server was extremely knowledgeable and the location is very very beautiful and modern. Recommended.
Long Shadows was great for the whole experience! We were able to schedule the 90 minute tour and barrel tasting just days before our visit. We ended up being around 20 minutes late to our reservation, but nobody was upset at all by this and our tasting room specialist, Alex, was cordial as could be about everything! It was the first barrel tasting for the others in my party and they loved everything (I did too!). Thanks so much Alex & Long Shadows for the great visit.
Decent wines, but we had a negative experience here. We were told it was perfectly fine to bring food during the tasting. We brought some tacos from Andrea’s, but on our arrival we were told that food was not welcome and could we please eat afterwards. Okay, fine - we must have received bad info. But then the table next to us brings in a cooler and gets out sandwiches and a big salad, and eats during their tasting, and nobody bats an eye. It made us feel very unwelcome.
Thank you Alex for a fun wine tasting. Who else could compare frat beer tasting to Reserve quality red wine tasting? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm about wine making. We look forward to our next visit and more boxes of wine!
Amazing place. Wines were awesome. Very relaxing tasting area...just like a warm living room. Glass art is world class. The talent which went into making some of these wines is extraordinary. This was an exceptional experience.
Beautiful views and tasting room! $20 tasting fee. Wine was ok, not my favorite wines in Walla Walla for sure.
You experience starts as soon as you walk in. The whole place is beautifully arranged. Service is fantastic. The whole staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Come with questions prepared. You will learn so much!
Everyone said this would be our best experience in Walla Walla and they were accurate! Not only was the view excellent, and tasting room delectable, but our host Alex was so educated and entertaining. Most importantly, every single wine was impressive, well developed and delicious.
Great experience! The wine was of course fabulous and the venue is beautiful, but what we really appreciated was the great customer experience. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and enjoyable. We cant wait to go back!
Long Shadows is the best of the best! When we have out of town guests this is a must stop on our tours. Remember to always schedule an appointment! I know of no other winery in the world that beings in the best of the best winemakers for each varietal they make and let them make their own wine for Long Shadows! they sport a very friendly and knowledgeable staff! I have done many blind tasting with my friends and L/ S is a constant winner ! definite 5 star rating . A true winner in my book!!!
Long Shadows Winery - good wine, but we were not made to feel welcome. We went to Long Shadows Winery at about 2:30 PM on a Saturday. We had called the day before and left a message requesting an appointment for the next day. You need an appointment to taste. A gentlemen returned our call and was able to give us the 2:30 PM time the following day. I appreciated this because we did call at the last minute and they accommodated us. The tasting room is very pretty. Its definitely upscale with the Chihuly glass sculptures. The reason you need an appointment is because seating is limited. There are 2 large tables for group tastings and a few smaller tables for parties of 1-4 persons. The lady who handled our tasting was very dry and was not very friendly. I know a lot of people may show up tipsy during this time period, but this was our 2nd tasting of the day and we had lunch in between. I had read up on this winery and was genuinely excited to try the wines. I attempted several times to engage with our hostess and she was not having it. I gave up. We enjoyed everything with the exception of the gewürztraminer. For the quality of the wines, I feel the tasting fee was appropriate. They may have made customers out of us, but didnt. Wines were 4.5 stars, ease of making an appointment 5 starts, tasting experience 3 stars.
Words cannot even begin to describe the beauty of this winery and tasting room. Set way back and up on a hill, the view here is absolutely breathtaking. I was here with a large group for a picnic of sorts, which was a lot of fun. The wine is of course phenomenal, the sunset over the fields coming in a close second. The tasting room is elegant and filled with Chihuly glass. If you have the opportunity to visit, you will never forget your time here. I know I wont.
Wine me up baby!!!
Beautiful winery that has breathtaking scenery! The wine is fantastic as well. I am not a big fan of Washington wines, but Long Shadows won me over!
I’ve done two guided wine tours of eleven winery’s and the wine at this one was fantastic!
We called ahead to get an 11am tasting. When we arrived we were seated in the Chihuly room along with a large noisy bridal party. Lucy came over to introduce herself and asked if were interested in a tour so we could get away from the noisy party. The four of us readily agreed. She filled our glasses and away we went. She made sure we were not forgotten in the crowd, made sure to answer all our questions and generally took care of us. Oh and the wine was beautiful. We bought a few magnums and a mixed case. Wish we could have purchased more. An excellent experience. Thanks again Lucy!
Fantastic wines but be sure to call ahead - we saw people without appointments get turned away.
Never reviewed anything before but this place is a solid 5 if you are an arrogant douchebag. We are regulars in Woodinville but will never go back after the Walla Walla experience. We arrived here today and thought it was closed because there were 4 cars parked in their massive parking lot. After walking through the front door, Serge (from the art gallery in Beverly Hills Cop) popped out of a closet and asked if we had an appointment. In a haze of confusion we indicated we did not and then Serge proceeded to lecture us on how crazy holiday weekends can be. Crazy indeed Serge. The long shadow appears to be comprised entirely of ego.
Long Shadows is one of the more spectacular wineries Ive had the privilege of creating a Google virtual tour for. Set off by itself in the rolling hills of Walla Walla, their tasting room is incredibly beautiful and features glasswork by Dale Chiuly.
Great service; friendly and engaging staff
Good wine, nice place.
Beautiful tasting room
