This park offers everything you want in outdoor activities. The most popular feature is the swimming area, complete with splash pad, play ground, volleyball, changing/bathrooms and inexpensive snack bar, or bring your own non alcoholic drinks and snacks.Paddle boat and canoe rentals are also available and very inexpensive. If youre not going swimming, they have several pavilions for family reunions or get togethers, along with more playgrounds and public restrooms.Miles and miles of bike/walking trails for roller blades, bikes, walkers, runners,pets on leash and nature lovers. Several designated fishing areas. Most recently my wife and I took our dog and we saw an Eagles nest which is pretty rare, this far south in our state of Michigan.

Millennium park is quite lovely. To be clear, it is a recreational park, not a nature preserve- the paths are wide, comfortable, and well maintained. The beach, which you pay a premium to access, just as the splash pad, is worth the premium, $4/day for an adult and you get a gorgeous, spacious beach that is not wildly over populated, very nice.The lake itself seems fairly nice, opportunities for kayaking, paddle boarding, or even renting a paddleboat make it a trip thats worth it even for people who dont like to swim or lounge in the sand. The paths generally lead to mineral pumps in one way or another so like I said, not a nature preservation park, but a nice place to take your dog and walk around a gorgeous Vista sometimes broken up by the realities of a modern world.You see the five stars, nuff said.

Beautiful park with man made lakes/ponds with several trails. They have a separate beach which you have to pay to use. I go with my dog for hikes. Millennium park and Johnson park are close enough to share trails. That makes for a lot of trails and nature to be seen! Just amazing!

Price isn’t bad for the time and enjoyment had here at millennium park with loved ones. I like that there is security at this park and people with life saving training available if needed. Beautiful place to have a get away for the day with the family. I would recommend this as a day trip.

A groovy place to toss a blanket down and read or picnic. Lots of trails to bike and hike. Spend the day or an hour. Kayaks and Sups for rent.

Kinda hard to gage now. Signs said park closed Nov 1- April, but it was open. Be aware that one side closes the gate early at 3pm. Wasn’t a ton of open space for things like throwing the football, at least section we were in. But the paths are paved and easily walkable. Be in the lookout for geese droppings...all over the place. Those with dogs make sure to wash paws after. All in all fine for a little outdoor time if nothing else to do.

This is seriously one of the best parks in the state, but especially in the region. Not only is a massive, but I also feel secluded and small as your branch off into various trails in sections of the enormous park. It will probably take all day to bike ride it let alone try to walk it. It’s cool that there’s a beach part where you can rent kayaks another non-motorized watercraft. This park is super safe as well as there’s people walking around, but it’s also not crowded to the point where you’re bumping elbows are constantly being passed by someone or rollerbladers.

Clean park with many family activities. We rented a tandem kayak. Easy process to rent and less expensive than other kayak rentals in the area. They also had single kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boats. While there we also enjoyed a walk around the lake on a paved trail. There is a nice splash pad and small sandy beach as well.

I love the park but the oil drilling stations are obnoxious and smell terrible. The routes sometimes flood as well. That aside, theres a lot of different routes to walk, run or bike. It is still my favorite place to go to run or walk the dog.

This park is very nice, the beach is clean and beautiful. People are respecting social distancing and snack attendants are wearing masks and gloves. Only complaint is the signs for parking and entrance. I know theres a lot of parking, but there needs to be clearer signs of where the beach entrance is, because I parked the furthest away on accident and carried a ton of stuff. Lol. Not a big deal, but something to consider. I will come back to take photos as a local photographer soon.

Great place to go and do most outdoor stuff. There are plenty of well kept trails to bike or walk on. They have a watercraft rental place thats quite cheap. Theres also a great park and a splash pad as well! I definitely would recommend visiting here.

Fun place to take your kids and relax. Water was extremely dirty and had tons of green algae and bones in water. Other than that water was nice with pretty views

I loved it. People were kind and courteous of other visitors. The trails were neat and clean. Plenty of space to walk and bike. Its easy to spend a few hours just walking.

We love riding our bikes on the paths throughout the park. My kids absolutely love the playground too!

Great place to visit. The prices are so wonderful and reasonable even at the food court. I love coming here they keep it clean, the bathrooms as well, security is near if you need them and everyone is super friendly. Thank you management!

Absolutely gorgeous and so much to do. It really has become a community gathering spot between the lush green grass, play ground, walking trails, well-kept pavilion, and beach access. Definitely a gem for GR.

Review of beach: Can get crowded but everyone is respectful. Non-smoking, no alcohol, otherwise welcomes patrons to bring own food and drink. There is a snacks/drink bar as well. Water is warm. Clean sand. Lots of seagulls and geese (personally a huge plus for me) all of which are not aggressive and move if you come toward them.

Went there for my grandsons birthday partyPark was very lovely.The dressing rooms were very clean the beach was nice and litter free and the water was very refreshing as it was 91 degrees outside that day.Beach admission was very reasonably priced $4.00 adults $2.00 children 2 -16 children under 2 are free.Already planning my next trip back.

Beautiful trails for walking, biking, blading. Great play equipment for children (they are building a 3rd set on the site of the other two playgrounds currently). A beautiful Sandy beach and splash pad too.

Covid Park... Hundreds of people without mask all under 6ft apart. Not once did my family and i feel safe. Not to mention how many cops and Sherrifs there and not doing anything about it. Do not go here. Its too high risk of getting covid.

Its still a nice little park, though its starting to show its age a little bit. Loved that its tucked away and near the water, giving a reasonable amount of privacy even in a public space.

The lake itself is fairly clean. The park does cost a few bucks for entry. You cannot smoke once paid. The kayak rentals and paddle board rentals are reasonably priced and great for a afternoon of relaxing paddling. However it was packed and during the pandemic we probably wont go back for this reason. There was also a line to get in. Concession is nearly impossible to get because of the line! Due to how packed it was I did deduct a star. The fact that we can go for a bike ride, walk, rent paddle boards, paddle boats, canoes, or kayaks, is clean, has a splash pad, has concessions, friendly staff and a beach gets it 4 stars!

Reasonable price, friendly helpful staff, very large well kept grounds and play equipment. Also has paved trails for exercise, biking...A sign would be helpful advising swimmers that its illegal to swim to islands in the lake...

I had my wedding here at the Grand Pavilion it was a wonderful experience and plenty of room for social distancing, and beautiful colors in the fall.

Beautiful, large and somewhat remote feeling, even though its only 10-20 minutes from Grand Rapids! Nice trails, good play area for children. Beach access for a small price. Only con: I think its surrounded by landfills and quarries?

The kayak rentals are such a fun, affordable option for a date night activity or evening with friends. Hope to be back. Staff were friendly, too.

Honestly this place can be wah better than Michigans larger lakes. Its small, gets warmer faster than lake Michigan, and has a nice splash pad. The entree fee is really cheap and the food is affordable. You could rent paddle boards, boats, and other stuff if you dont want to swim. Even outside of the beach there are playgrounds, trails, and nice scenery. Just go, see for yourself.

Its a great park within the city my son loves the splash pad and digging in the sand on the beach. Prices are pretty nominal compared to what I use to pay just to go-to a pool.

Close to the city, yet a world away! It was,an unseasonably warm Spring evening. A walk that took us across the Grand River and into the woods. Between low lying areas that included creeks and ponds. Multiple species of frog were singing in choruses.We saw people walking, running, biking and skate boarding. People alone, couples, and families. Yet, we could easily go 5 minutes without seeing anyone else.The perfect getaway!

Place is one of my favorite places to go. Between the trails, fishing, boating, splash pad and the beach. There is no shortage of things to do. **This place is open right now with the pandemic. I did not see hardly anyone wearing a mask other than the staff**

Great park. Very beautiful, clean beach. Splash pad for the kids accessible from the beach. They charge you to get in but in return they keep everything nice. They also rent paddleboats, rowboats and other watercraft for very reasonable prices.

Amazed that such a nice park could be so close to the city! Great place to spend the afternoon with the family, especially if youre looking for somewhere with paved trails to bike/roller blade/scooter.

Usually not crowded, the earlier you get in the less of a line you get to stand in. Beach itself has no lifeguard and the sand is fairly clean and not rough. Overall this place is a popular hit among the community. Will be coming back to enjoy the sun and water.

Very nice park lots of fun things to do. I took my grandkids fishing had a great time the lake is full of bluegill theyre small so bring little hooks.

Great park for running if youre looking for a peaceful place with a little bit of variety, highly recommend. My running group switched to running here a couple times a week - we used to run Reids Lake - theres a 4.1 mile figure 8 you can run or you can plan a path that will get you further.

It was nice clean and th kids had lots of fun. Nice clean bathroom and picnic areas with big BBQ grills. All you need is a reason to get out and enjoy the scenery

Great splash pad! Fenced in with only 1 exit. There is a fee to get in but it was worth it. Concessions, restrooms etc. Very clean park all around. Would drive the 2 hours again just to go back.

Tons of trails, rivers, ponds. Miles and miles if nature. Great for wildlife photography. Also playground area is huge for the kids. Bathrooms, concessions (sometimes), fishing, biking, large gazebos, AND well maintained despite its huge size. Truly a must visit.

Wonderful day at the beach with the kids. We went early and it wasnt too crowded. The entire park was clean and well groomed. We cant wait to go back!

Beautiful and MASSIVE park. It has everything for kids from ages 3-12 including three separate age specific playgrounds. It also boasts a full water park and beach, complete with kayak, canoe, and paddle board rentals. My favorite feature of this park is its perfectly paved trails, which cover multiple miles of beautiful terrain such as swamps, lakes and fields. These trails are fantastic for jogging, biking, and even longboarding. There are also several unpaved and more secluded nature trails to explore. Amazing park, I discover something new every time I visit.

Love having a local beach to go and swim in close to downtown GR. Great biking/hiking trails to spend time at. Lots of picnic tables to use plus parking is always easy.

Beautiful park, though a little rained out today. Nice place for runs, and cycling. I think the area on the Grand River side, in the forest feels especially secluded - even though its very accessible from the city.

Love this park every season and in all weather. Probably the best rollerblading area in GR, amazing trail system thats connected to the Kent Trails. Every time I come here I get different wildlife, paths, etc so its always worth it to get out of the city.

A fantastic place to walk for dog, go for a bike ride or skate around on your longboard. The scenery is beautiful. I saw a swan chasing geese across a pond today. Wonderful to visit even in the off seasons when the beach area is closed.

Very cool park with many long trails to explore. Currently some of the trails are very flooded but looking forward to when they dry out and we can walk there again.

Great trails lead to this amazing park where parties can be thrown. Hang out with family and friends. The people are respectful and outgoing. I loved it.

One of my favorite parks! I take my Son all the time, beach is nice but costs $10 a person-so I bought a season pass. Nice facilities, splash pad, boat and kayak rental, nice covered large gazebos with grills and water spigots, and a very nice playground with lake boardwalk (free access). There are several small ponds with boardwalk dock fishing areas as well. Very near Grand Rapids

Absolutely beautiful here. FYI though... If you an on taking your own paddle boat, kayak, ect. You MAY NOT launch in any of their lakes.

This place has lots to do. Long trails comnecting parks, beach, boathouse, fishing spots, and pavilions. Usually clean and well maintained

Top spot for families to swim or simply hang out. Went here to have a dip with my cute nephews. Sand was nice -powdery and fine. Water is also nicely warm and shallow so its friendly for toddlers. You can do kayaking, standup paddling and even fishing. Husband and I tried to fish by the dock which is outside the swimming premises. Swim entrance is $4 per adult and bring your own tent and stuff. The place also has a splash pad perfect for kids. Portable grills are forbidden. Lots of parking spaces.

Specifically went here for the paddle boats, a fun day outside for us and the doggo (70lb shepherd mix who is pretty good on boats). Reasonable prices, plenty of space, and great sanitation practices. If youre looking to get out and get on the water for beginners well worth it. They have paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaks, and row boats, so take your pick!

4 for adults. Free for kids. Splash pad, beach, raft rentals. Police on seen and polite. Mind there business. No lifeguards, but floaties available.

Lots of nice walkways and the perfec little beach for my 2 year old. He loves being able to go back and forth between the beach and the splash pad.

A very scenic destination, but given its large size, Millennium Park has very few large spaces (for activities such as throwing a Frisbee or playing flag football). Great bike/running paths.

Wasnt here very long, just kinda stop by to check things out, looks like a good place a family could spend the whole day adventuring around, waterpark and fishing, bike riding, walking paths and I think there was boats to rent maybe

I love this place. Please be aware now is not allowed to put hammocks between the trees. Some of the trails are flooded due to the recent storms. Other than that it is amazing place.

Paddles boats were not well maintained. We have told the staffs about the issue three different times since last year. Not happy will go elsewhere.

Millennium Park is great for kids of all ages. With a beach, splash pad, beach volleyball and a huge play area not to mention you can rent kayaks, paddle boats or canoe.
