This park has great trails for walking, biking, hiking, roller blading and plenty places to just hang out to read. It has lots of places to fish and pavilions to rent for partys or gatherings. It keeps getting bigger and better as time goes on. Well maintained facilities and bathrooms. Give a visit of you havent been.

This is my kids second time coming to the park and they like it. It has a lot of fields to run, you just have to watch where you step when its wet outside because of the mushy grass, your shoes will get muddy otherwise a great place to walk, ride bikes and have kids play on the playground.

Johnson park is a great place to disc golf. Its an 18 hole course with many elevation changes. Some holes are short and some are fairly long. It makes for a wonderful hike as well! Additionally when we went there, there wasnt a lot of other people there. I highly recommend!

There is a lot to do, they have pavilions, playsets, trails, playsets for the kids, and more. Johnson park has a beautiful landscape which makes it a amazing place for photos.

Absolutely loved walking on the river covered road. Perfect way to cool 9ff after a stressed day.

Was peaceful and got to see nature in itself. 2 deer watching people go about their day

My kiddo made a new friend playing on one of the many playgrounds yesterday. Lots to do, lots of space, great location right off the bike trail!

Went to a graduation open house. There was a wedding reception and numerous other grad open houses. Most people wore masks and were social distancing. Park was clean with lots of shade. Enjoyable!

Beautiful park with a great wooded paved trail about the size of a road for walking dogs, biking, handicap accessable. The grassy areas are kept up amazingly and they have nice picnic tables scattered under shade trees. Further down there is a disc golf course which is creatively scattered around a hilled and wooded area making for a great mix of long open holes and short challenging ones. Across the road is a boat launch into the grand river. Everything you could want in a park! Even has a building to rent out which is also kept up amazingly for events. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful park with lots of open space, playgrounds, baseball fields, and wonderful walking paths. The only downside is that you will hear the freeway and nearby roads throughout the whole park.

My husband and I love to bring our girl Hadley to walk the trails. Such a beautiful park the nauture is outstanding .I grew up sleding at this park with my brother and friends ! Such a nice park full of breathtaking scenery.

Great walk on the trails none of which are too long. In the winter the nature road is a great hike. And the frisbee golf course is a great challenge. Enjoy!

This is a really nice old park. The senior drive is great for a walk and there are tons of other spaces for you to play in creatively. I did not go in but the old pavilion looks like a great place for an event as well.

Nice big park with lots of different areas. Not usually to busy here either. They have a nice building you can rent for family reunions and graduations. Drinking is allowed in this park too.

There is plenty of space in the open pavilion with picnic tables! There are play areas and grass to run through exclamation part the best feature is all of the wooded surroundings!!

A great place to train for hill work for Cross Country! Also fun paths to take for longer walks and runs.

My brothers graduation party was held in the indoor pavilion, and it was really nice. It was secluded and it has a kitchen and a refrigerator.

There great ok. The ground floods though so be careful. Also the hand dryer doesnt work.

We love this park. It is perfect for a nice family picnic. Our daughter loves all the playgrounds and they are perfect for her because she is only 1.5 years old so they are not too big.

Well cared for park. Good areas for children. Plenty of space for dogs. They have trails in thr back wood.

Great trail for biking or walking. Nice ups and downs, very nicely wooded. If its very hot you can park at the trail entrance and walk then turn and walk the wooded path back. Well maintained, good playgrounds. Excellent sledding in winter.

Huge open park with extensive trails located right off of Kent Trails. It is close to the river and has many beautiful sights. It has multiple areas to reserve for parties and a huge hill for sledding. The trails through the park are smooth to ride a bike or even a longboard on. They have a baseball field and bathrooms with a drinking fountain and two separate parking lots. This park is awesome, one of my personal favorites!

Very nice wide paved trails that wind in a woodland setting with some decent up and down Hills for 1 speed bikes. Decent size, Clean, and well groomed. Nice job to those workers.Not busy in the morning, just some older generations sitting in their vehicles hiding their Smart Phone time.During a break with my kids at a top of a hill, we did see and hear someone off the trail with a dog. Not saying it was a danger potential, but it is always a good practice to exercise close together with a buddy.

Its a park. A very nice pand spacious park! Also located on one of the larger run/walk/bike trails in the GR area.

Very neat, looks like people tend to not litter here a lot. Its a nice park with a few playgrounds and some decent eating areas. There is a baseball field (not fenced in), but its nice and open as a whole.

This is such a beautiful park. It has lots of trees, well manicured grass with rolling hills, two covered areas for picnicking/family gatherings, a volleyball net with sand, two softball fields and childrens play areas. Also, if you continue North from the entrance off of Wilson St and drive/walk just a little ways on Butternut Rd, you will find a VERY popular disc golf area with a huge hill to make it a little more challenging and lots of sand. They also have parking there, however, its kind of rough and needs paving. There is a bathroom building in the park, not porta-pottys which is big plus to those of you who do not like the porta-pottys (Im included in that dislike lol.) The park also has Kent Trails running alongside and through the park which is nicely paved. You can run, walk or bike the trail. If you continue on Butternut Rd across from the Disc Golf, the Kent Trails takes you right into Millinium Park! Overall, there is plenty of shade where you can rest on benches in the park. If you are a sunshine lover, there is plenty of places you can enjoy that too. I have also noticed plenty of staff there who can help with questions, as well as monitor any activities in the park if necessary. I hope you have found this information helpful and enjoy this park!

A lovely park along the Grand River. I attended a graduation party in their lodge, a beautiful pine log building with kitchen area and seating for a large crowd. There are covered picnic sites and play areas throughout the grounds.

45 mph on the main road,the old senic drive is closed.95 % of the visitors seem to be running or biking. This park should be looking for ways to expand.

Beautiful park. Well maintained. Had a nerf battle for a birthday party. The open pavilion has a 3-part griller and access to outlets (bring an extension cord). Bathrooms close by.

Love this place! Very big and lots of space. They have a few different playgrounds too. Its also a great place to take the kids sledding during the winter, they have several different hills to slide down.

Good place if you like the outdoors

Nice, long paved road wound around through the woods, up hills and down hills. No thru traffic for motorized vehicles. Lots of tall trees and shade. Would return in the fall to view the colors.
