Its a great place with great people. i love the atmosphere there and i recommend going. the only reason i gave it a 4 star is the food. i dont think its really all that good. but i think you would like it there. ive been going for 1 and a half years now. no skating rink is like this one

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our moms 60th birthday party here this past weekend! The staff and owner were so helpful and AMAZING! Will be back again to enjoy some food ole family fun

One of the better rinks Ive been to. The floor is smooth and well maintained. They have a good selection of bit quads and in-line skates for rent. The music is, of course, loud but the selection is decent.The layout is clean and open with good lines of sight to keep the little ones in view and the staff seem attentive. Over all a safe environment.I was a bit apprehensive of the Christian overtones, but it seemed more of Who They Are than something they try force on others.

Awesome skate rink with its own unique style. The states were clean and in good shape, plenty of room to chill out and the rink itself is HUGE! There was more than enough room and best of all the center was marked off for beginners to practice their skills. Definitley coming back again!

This place is amazing I have been going here for 3 years and I love it so much I go every other Friday and its not expensive and their pizza and slushies are really good

It was my birthday and I went in to the window and waited and waited, nobody came to the window. However it was a man that was cleaning the window which I knew saw me and my friend waiting yet in a rush he sprayed the window with the solution. And when we approached him for help he quickly walked away and he just figured he didn’t want to assist us so we got in the car. Then my friend ask well let’s just ask if he works here. We did just that then the guy was around the corner with the squigee and was like trying to hide. This is 12/29 around 4:00. But I thought that was very unprofessional and rude. To even have us waiting. Yet when he said “there should be someone there!” He went right back to wiping the window. Please tell me how rude is that then when he saw from his side vision he decided to go in. Now I’m not making this up! This is suppose to be a friendly environment yet christian environment but me and my friend was treated differently.

Its a place you can go to have fun and the workers are friendly and you can learn and practice your tricks in the middle or in a corner in the back

Honestly I think they should schedule little kids learning to skate at a different time. I crashed along with my kids a few times trying to avoid them skating right in front of us and falling on rink floor. Makes it really hard for everyone to skate while avoiding them.

I go to this skating rink every weekend for the most part and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! It is amazing and the staff are all so friendly and easy to talk to. Me and my dad come here and all of the staff (nick, jake, and tanner) are very nice and amazing!!!! You should make a skater pass where you get perks for showing the pass!!! I think it would be awesome and lots of people would use it!!! Thank you for being so great for the last 3 years!!!

My daughter had a really good time and didnt know anyone there. She is new to the area. She said the floor was amazing..... the ppl were very friendly and she cant wait to go back.

Wonderful skating rink! We had a blast during their 1 PM - 5 PM Saturday public skate session. In addition to skating, they played a few games on the rink during that time: Limbo, Four Corners, and Red Light Green Light.The owners/employees are so nice and seem to go the extra mile for their customers! We WILL be going back again!

We came for our daughters birthday party and had a great time!! We drove from an hour and a half away and from the time we booked to the day of, everything went smoothly! Sydney was a great party helper!! She took care of everything we needed with a smile on her face!!! The pizza tasted great!!! Everyone loved it! We would definitely recommend this place for a birthday party or just for a fun day of skating! Hoping to be back again!! Thanks for a wonderful day!!

I love this place and I come here every weekend!

The kids loved it! They had a blast for sure. On the flip side I noticed it was rather hard to get thefree pizza. The cashiers/waitresses found it a better idea to skip over the line of us standing there waiting patiently for pizza and bring 2 slices per plate to their buddies seated in the boothes. Time after time, over and over again with each pizza that came out and long after their friends were full, they refused to wait on us. My 9 yr old daughter even noticed that they were in her words hiding in the back and pretending that their plastic gloves were too small so they didnt have to serve the food. I realized that it took 52 minutes exactly (yes I timed it) to get a slice a peice for each of my girls, 2 for me, a small soda, and a large slushie that Id much rather take my children and my money elsewhere. They can keep those little half slices of pizza for forever and a day. I will make sure no one I know EVER supports such a place. Oh and P.S. their bathrooms are trash. The second stall had a bloody tampon just sitting in a toilet full of red water and the handicap stall had an open wastebasket FULL of tampon applicators and pads. It was just a bloody mess...literally.

I had a good time. The rental skates were a little subpar, but ok for a couple of hours. The skating area is smaller and more crowded than Im used to. I was suprised at how polite everyone was. I would expect that from the staff, but even the kids were very well behaved. Kudos to their parents. I will return.

If I could Give this place a 0 rating I would...I just pick my kids from here, and my daughter was very upset. The owners son told my child she had to leave because she removed her skate. She took her skates off cause she hurt her foot. When she told him that she can not leave without her brother her he told her OH WELL I DONT CARE. First of all what type of adult does this! They made her leave, the worst thing is that it was after 10:00pm and dark outside and shes also 13. Skate Dojo is place that she goes often and felt safe. What if something would had happen to her! I spoke to the manager and he was rude almost like it wasnt his problem no consideration.

I broke my foot here but its whatever because i love this place and mr.ken is so nice and the workers are so sweet and as soon as my foot heals i will come back ASAP to break it again :)

We had a wonderful time with the kids. The girl renting the skates was super helpful and let my four year old try a few different types of skates until she felt comfortable in one! The music was fun and the staff was very friendly!

The older guy is great! The staff is nice. I think $9 for raggity skates with frayed laces is insane. There were 2 guys on the floor (helpers) one guy DOD NOTHING but play on his skates while the younger guy tried to help out kids on the floor. Can I apply for a job to roller skate and help no one? $20 for a pizza. None and I mean none of the stuff works, popcorn machine, pretzel machine, hot dog machine and a big oven they use to cook pizzas are all non functional. $4 for a cheeseburger thats smaller than a McDonalds burger for $.89? Its a shame the kids enjoy going to a place like this thats literally ran into the ground. Up charging for pizza since everything you COULD make money on (pretzel, hotdogs, popcorn) isnt available. Shame on you.

Wow this place brings back memories. Came here for a kids birthday and had a great time. The staff were fine and the kids had an awesome time. There were still talking about it days later. I am sure there will be some more skating in our future.

I take my 11 yo here and he meets friends, he enjoys it as a safe spot to hang out and skate.

Great vibes, great music, reasonable rates, wonderful staff lots of different skaters, all races, young, older, lots of kids from young to teens, to 30 somethings. Cant wait to go back with my grandkids

My daughter skated here during 2 separate birthday parties and she had so much fun. The music is great in variety and the atmosphere is nice.

Middle school Friday nights are a hit with the kids. My daughter asks to go as often as she can. Seems clean. Police at the front door makes me comfortable. They have a buzzer at the second door for additional safety. No complaints.

My neice and nephews really enjoyed skating here. Not too crowded. Very clean. Good music.

Sk8 Dojo is my preferred rink in the area, and thats not just because it has the shortest commute.Here are the pros:Non-intrusive benches built into the side of the rink so that you can take a seat immediatelyGreat community- many talented and friendly skaters who you can ask questions toThe floor is incredibly level and flat and only has a few small divots that wont majorly influence skatingOne to two floor guards on the floor at all times to ask questions to and help you up if you fallSpace in the middle of the rink for young kids to learnCons(because nothings perfect):Rink is smaller than some others in the areaLots of young children and parties- obstacles, to someA con to some, but a pro to me: the floor is very sticky and well-finished. As such, it is very good for speed skating. However, jam skaters might find this unsatisfactory, as less-sticky floors are generally more preferred for complex tricks and movements.

The owner is an awesome guy. Locally owned. We have had several family birthday parties. Very affordable and fun.

My kids have been students here a few years and worked up to Brown Belt. The program is great, the people are great. Under the mats is a roller rink used on weekends, many happy hours of inline and four wheel skating, and many friends skating parties attended.

Being in the navy is a stressful job so me and all my shipmates love to come to this roller rink to have a little fun and skate. We have been coming here every weekend for the longest time and we love the place. The staff members are all welcoming and awesome and the music is very clean. I have made a lot of friends at this place and would recommend this skating rink to anyone who is looking for a safe and fun place to take their friends and family. I would also like to thank the security for keeping the place safe.

Its a good place to roller skate

We booked a large party and when half our guests no showed they graciously allowed me to downgrade. At no penalty. They were more than accommodating, the staff was friendly. The rink was a good temp AND the food was good.

The floor is good. The music is very kid friendly but I can use my iPod. Wish they would be open through out the week but the owner doesn’t care about skating like he does martial arts. Never had issues at this rink. Staff is friendly. My favorite rink to skate in Hampton roads.

This skating rink is awesome! Its a great place for toddlers that are learning how to skate especially on Saturday nights. The staff are really friendly and caring. Not to mention there is free pizza served on Saturday evenings as well.

SK8 Dojo has an awesome staff and has a great family friendly atmosphere. My family has had three birthday parties in less than a year here and weve always left happy. Prices are nice too.

Have attended several birthday party and free skates here. Unfortunately, yesterday may experience was not the norm or perhaps foreshadowing for things to come. The staff was performing aerial jump that previous post State is not allowed due to safety concerns. In addition several larger skates with little control or ability mauled over my child,while they were playing on their phones. The staff did nothing to enforce this. My child received several gift cards to skate here but do not feel the safety of my child is a concern. So much for a family atmosphere. I had to leave

I have been to a few regular skate sessions and three or four birthday parties at Skate Dojo. Every experience I have had has been wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly. The party room is nice and roomie. The new skate floor is fast and smooth. Love the changes of the appearance that keep happening.

Ever time i go there I will buy a drink and somone will steel it so that makes me mad because I bought with my money bit other then that is a good skating place

I love doing Krav Maga and my brother loves karate.

We can drop our teenagers off and know that they are safe. They have security and kids cant leave without a parent.

Sk8 Dojo is the best rink in Hampton Roads. The floor is nice and clean. The skates are awesome. The staff is really friendly and professional also the music is good and appropriate for a family environment. I really love coming here to skate :)

Came from Richmond and probably will not return. The floor was nice but did not feel welcome. I guess they have never seen someone who is just there to exercise and get away from their everyday rink. Stare at me some more guys! Thats ok Ill just continue to roll at the rink back home.

Too expensive. $9 to skate and $7 if you bring your own? Its a small gymnasium that you can skate on, for goodness sake. Besides handing out skates, what else are you providing?

Had an incredible time at sk8 Dojo Roller Rink. It was our first time there on Saturday. We all enjoyed ourselves. Such a clean place. The staff were very friendly and family supportive of our needs. Music is up to date. All types of skaters are welcomed, beginners to experts. Which I am a beginner again since its been years for me. Although I fell three times and of course laughed about it, I would definitely go again. The staff attended to me each time to make sure I was ok. This is by far a very good place to take your family and feel safe and enjoy a great time. I give this place a five star️️️️️

Super great place to take the family. I brought my niece in on a friday night which is apparently middle school night and it was packed. She wasnt too psyched about all the people everywhere while she was trying to learn to skate even with one of the floor guys helping her out so we decided to try to come back another day. As we were leaving though the manager stopped us and gave us a 2 for 1 pass to come back on a saturday night when there isnt such a crowd and free pizza! gotta say there are some great people working at this place!

This place is amazing! There is great staff, and awesome music. When it comes to the gear, the skates are newer, and the floor has just recently been renovated and it makes skating so much smoother. I love sk8 dojo!

Best place for skating, roller derby lessons and kids party

Been about 10 times, had my shoes stolen twice and once I had a locker. The people that work their are nice and friendly but are terrible when it comes down to helping with something. Otherwise its a nice skating rink
