Great place to skate! Makes me feel like a kid again, well until the next morning. Highly recommend.

We went here for a Dominion Roller Derby game this past weekend. I had never been here before. We waited in line on the side of the building since we did not buy tickets online (if you bought tickets online then you would wait in the front of the building and get in first). I thought the staff was friendly - we only had interactions with the person who told us to go to the side of the building for people buying tickets and the staff inside once we were let in at 8pm that we paid for our tickets (we paid with a credit card). We had a good experience except for a woman standing in the middle of the aisle at the front of the row of seats yelling at the derby players. She blocked part of our view of the action. The place is old and run down but the toilets worked (the sink is on the outside of the mens and womens bathrooms in the middle and you share one sink. There was not any soap left. I think they can use some updates to this place. My boyfriend said the mens bathroom did not have any doors on the stalls so he didnt use the restroom there. That was very odd to hear that they did not have any doors. Please install some doors.They had pizza for sale, drinks, bowling, merchandise for sale, raffles, ice cream, etc.It is worth going here to watch the roller derbys.3 stars for the center itself.4 stars for my experience at the derby.

Best roller rink in Hampton Roads... potentially, all of Virginia! Great for all ages. Wonderful discounts all-year round. The food is a steal for how good it is. The rink is in excellent condition and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ive become a faithful patron, because Haygood does it right! Do yourself a favor and relive your formative years on a pair of skates! You wont be disappointed.

We had our sons birthday party here on late Sunday afternoon. It was not too crowded, the kids had a blast, they skated until close, the staff are friendly, and the pizza was good. The play area was a hit with the kids as well!

Not toddler friendly at all! They don’t offer kid skates, or any type of help. They also don’t allow parents to go on the floor with shoes to assist!.... Never go here if you have toddlers. Only gave 1 star because I had to.

We love the roller rink and roller skating in Haygood. The snack bar has a playground for little kids and video games for big kids and parents! The food is good and the company better, skates ready.

Nice place to take the kids so they can burn some energy, they have roller skates roller blades a small arcade and a small play area. The little snack bar has food for a reasonable price, I’m not sure about quality because I did not try it.

We try to go every Thursday for family night $7 to skate and free pizza..only $3 for non skaters..my only complaint is the music. It seems like the DJ has the same playlist every week. My daughter loves it!

I spent my teenage years skating here and its still a great place to bring your family or even drop the kids off to get them doing some exercise thats fun!!! We had my daughters birthday party there today but will be going back for family night as well as the kids going on there own thats all they talked about on the way home!!!

We went for kids fun night out with the school. They provided 2 slices of pizzas for the school kids that night. It was an optional $2 for the use of the indoor playground. It was very clean. They have an ATM inside. They are a cash only facility.

The trainer was a really nice lady and helped me out quite a bit. Even their roller skates were pretty good!

Cool that this is still up and running. Tons of skaters and ... contemporary...music and even skating games that the DJ orchestrates. I understand an update may not be a good business decision but the age on this place shows. For my little ones (2 and 7) not great but if youve got a social tween, this is good innocent fun.

This was my first time going to this skating rink. My daughters church in Como, NC sponsored a trip there for the children after vacation bible school. The kids had a blast learning how to skate, falling down and overall creating memories here. The music was great, kid-friendly, updated music. I know that our family will definitely be returning!!!!

I spent my childhood hanging out here.. Its really cool to see my kids are able to still enjoy it to this day.. When i hung out shaggy from z104 used 2 DJ there.. I just love that my teenage boys are enjoying a spot I did when I was there age

Im here now. Spent $30 for three girls to skate. Another $11 for a nasty pizza and another $5 for 2 sodas. When my daughter asked for extra ice in her cup the response was. We dont give out ice. Wasnt asking for free ice. Just more in the cup I already paid for.Frustrating.

Absolutely favorite place! And home of the Dominion Derby Girls!! Fair prices for skating, the skates are in good quality, and free pizza 2 nights of the week. Its a win win win.

They have a tiny bowling alley, but u must take off ur skates to bowl. They host parties and group events. Get a great workout in the legs and you can bring your own skates if you have any. Also you can get food there. Have fun skating!

Great atmosphere. The staff was amazing and the music was official. Definitely worth the doing again. You almost forget how much fun skating use to be until you do it again and find yourself falling in love with it all over again. Thanks Haygood for putting the finishing touch on a great day. Absolutely thankful for the new memories!!!

Always a fun time skating. Staff is friendly and helpful even when there are a lot of people there. Wish they would play family-friendly music though. Mostly booty-shaking hip hop stuff littered with obscenities.

Great place to skate also has bowling and play area.

Pretty good experience overall. For the super party you do not get a room, just a table that is out in the open with all other parties going on. The place could definitely use some updates, but the kids had fun. Book your party early and you can skate until closing. We were done after about 3 hours, but it was an 11 year old party. The duck pin bowling alley is very small, but again, the kids really enjoyed it.

Awesome place!!!! Skating, playground, and bowling in the same place, DUCK PIN bowling at that!!!! $25 for 2 adults, 2 children and all you can eat pizza. Hard to beat that!! Definitely ready and cant wait to take my kids again!!!!

Although I do think this is a 5-star establishment, there are cons as well as pros.First, the good:Lots of talented folks who are also friendly a d helpfulLarge rink size with a lot of space to move aroundFree pizza nights ???Helpful staffNow, the not-so-good:Floor feels uneven and not flat in some placesIts very easy to feel the transition along individual wooden planks in the floorNow, a personal con to me but a boon to the many talented skaters at the rink: its not that sticky. And as such, its not very conducive to wider wheels/speed wheels. However, it is incredibly well suited for narrower, trickier wheels and jam skating, which many of the regular patrons appear to focus on.Overall, a swell establishment. The floor detracts a bit, but not enough to dock a star. Go here for free pizza nights and jam skating, and go to Sk8 Dojo for speed skating and not free pizza.

Not really any place to sit if youre not skating. Play area not very clean. Kids had fun though!

We went for Shelton Park Elementary School skate night we had a lot of fun. All the kids seem to have a great time skating and playing in the play area. We will definitely be going back my son loved skating. He did real good for a second time Skating

We had our daughters 5th birthday here and it was great. Some kids enjoyed skating, while others loved the large, indoor play area. The employees were wonderful--very helpful and experienced. They helped us set up in the party area, walked us through the recommended party schedule, and were always nearby to help. They also did all the clean-up at the end. Everyone had a blast!

Loads of fun for all ages. Great music and a fun place for a party. Go on Family Night for the best deal... skating and all the pizza you can eat for only $7 each!

We had an awesome time. The place was clean and well kept. The price was very reasonable. We went on family night in the middle of the week. The music was age appropriate. I would have liked to see at least one employee act like they wanted to be there or at least try to fake it. Employees seemed miserable to be there. We still had a great time anyways

If I could give the place a zero I would I have been going there since I was 3 years old. Recently, it’s been a junky place including fights. They will always pick sides with the people that have been going there longer. Staff plays around to much instead of working. Long lines, over crowded Capacity I think it’s 400.I asked them when I was aloud back due to a conflict they said never. They let the person that started the conflict with me back in because they knew her longer. I have grown up from the time this conflict has happened. Would like to hang out with my family That can go there but I can not. The lady will not let me back in she said if I step foot back there she will call the police. Did they do that to the other girl. My little niece had a private event party I called them to see if I could go because it’s private they said no. It’s definitely not a family rink I can give a lot of other roller rinks this title . However this is the Closest one to me and I live with my grandparents who don’t wanna drive me to Greenbrier so I can have fun. Tired of saying I can’t go everything has change now that the guy that actually owned it is not here anymore unfortunately.

It’s a good place to bring a family. I’ve been going here since I was a little girl. The only problem I had was that there was a blonde lady ( There were no name tags) she was rude to some kids and told them they can’t play. She told them to get off the playground. I think someone should talk to her about having a heart. I would just stay clear of her. Other then that, the skating rink is good, and the food is good.

Went on their Sunday cheap skate night. It was pretty crowded but well controlled.

Very cool location. I was there for a meeting at the facility so i didnt get to play like a kid. Though i could see the quality and the endless opportunity to entertain children for hours. Top notch, A+ wood roller rink, as well as a play area for with all sorts of things to climb up and slide down. Over all looked like safe but fun environment to wear out your kids. I didnt get to try any while i was there, but the food smelled a amazing and prices were more than fair.

My son likes this skating rink. Me not so much. They let the older kids do whatever they want, like horse play and speed around the smaller, younger, less experienced kids. They only accept cash which isnt that much of a big deal. They seem to charge for everything (paid .75 for a tiny small styrofoam cup of water) I wouldnt mind those small things if the music was better. Snooze fest... makes skating borig. Only getting 3 stars because my son likes it here better.

The place looks great, yet on Teens Night, the staff let anyone who was to the front entrance. The line was terrible, there were crowds of people on one side and its incredible that the place ONLY lets people who WALK to the front instead of wait go in anyway

I grew up coming here. A lot of my friends had birthday parties here when I was in grade school. This place is filled with memories. Unfortunately, I dont really find the urge to skate anymore and I lost it, so when I do go, I go to watch. When you do go on your own, you will see there are a lot of kids running around.I went this past weekend for an event with my organization. We paid a certain amount to get a party room. The rink really didnt have anyone yet to the the fact that it was early, however as the night progressed, the attendance of the location started to increase.This skating center has different deals throughout the week to bring people in. This skating rink is a place that I will not go on my own will, however when there is an event, I will go!

Went for Cheap Skate. It was only $5 for admission and that included skate rental. To bad its only on Sundays. We had a blast!!

It was so fun. Good music, great price. I paid $19 for entry and skating for my 2 boys. Theres also a play place thing for kids who dont want to skate. Free pizza all night long!

Family night is busy. Free pizza so dont be surprised if you have to wait. Unfortunately the change machine was broken. Also they dont switch the direction, so be prepared to work out one side more than the other if you cannot skate backwards.

Grandchildren just learning how to skate everybody is so nice their and tell they r doing agreat job. That just makes them so happy. They tell me i have to say it cause i love them but the people that works their dont have to cause they dont love them. Pretty smart kids.

My daughter had her 10th birthday party there. They had about over 8 other parties going on at the same time. It also seemed they only had one worker there, could’ve been three tops. Then my kid try sliding down a slide and another kid was trying to go up the slide. So my kid missed the other kid but ended up splitting her toe open. And of course no worker to be found. I would NEVER ever go there again.

Very kid friendly, a lot of safety which made it a buzz kill honestly. I cant even wear my beanie without the guy with a whistle telling me to take it off. They also turned the lights off and did disco lights but only for 30min-1hour, I mean why not just leave it off the entire time? Probably relates to all their safety rules, to me they are just being extra. The Dj was pretty wack if you ask me. The only upside for this place for me is that it was Cheap and the rink is very spacious but if it wasnt for those two things I wouldnt come back.Ex. The Church of 8 wheels in San Francisco is very tiny for a rollerskating rink because the building was originally a church so its very clumped up but it has great music and a great environment, lights, people and everything which is why I have no problem going there even though its 15$ and smaller, I still love that place.

This skating rink needs to do a better job maintaining the shoelaces on the skates. They are frayed and a make it a pain to lace the skates. Otherwise an enjoyable place and activity.

Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30-9...7$ including rental and all you can eat pizza...its a no brainer. The kids and I have been having a blast there!!!

You can use your debit or credit card to pay for skating but if you want snacks or food you have to have cash on you thats the only thing I dont like but everything else is cool.

We were there for a birthday party and both of my kids had a blast. The staff was friendly and the rink was big and well taken care of. I wish there were things for beginners to push around to help balance though. My son lasted only about halfway around the rink before he was over it, but luckily there was a play set for him to wear himself out in.

The only reason I gave this a 2-star review is because the people were nice. Other than that, the facilities are horrible. The floor is in horrible condition you can literally feel every board that you are all over, needs to be waxed. The rental skates are in horrible condition, if the strings arent broken theyre afraid and you cant lace them up correctly. And the entire time we were in there we were dressed as if we were outside, I dont think the heat was ever turned on.

Has an awesome playplace in the back perfect for the smaller kids. Good staff and very busy on Friday night.

They had a bowling game and a playplace that was extra fun. Also prices cheaper then all the other places and they have good hours as well. Good music and the whole family had fun.

It was cool to skate it was a little slow at the time i came. The only issue is they have a crazy way of doing bday parties. However other than that they serve there purpose.

Great place to take your family for some fun times skating. The atmosphere is great, friendly and family friendly. The staff was nice and helpful. The music was diverse but up to date. The only down that I noticed were a small section when the wood of the floor needed to be sanded and refinished.

This past weekend I had my sons 5th birthday party here. I have to say it was the best experience all the way around ! The price wasnt bad, plenty of space even with other people there throwing a party as well. The my son enjoyed himself he wants to come again. My guest really enjoyed themselves....the dj was on point with the music. The staff where super friendly. The young lady that checked me in and helped with checking my guest in....I think her name was Victoria, she was so sweet very helpful and very patient. Thank you Haygood skating Rink for making my 5 year old birthday the best experience.

Good atmosphere and very busy. Everyone is professional and the food is good. The prices are great for skating or a party. Just remember to bring cash. They have cash only signs posted everywhere and have an ATM on location.
