Most of the artists and the receptionist are friendly, but its because of the managements attitude towards customer service that I can no longer recommend Art Junkies, especially when there are so many great options in the nearby area.My wife went in to get a tattoo from another shop fixed, and was very specific that a certain part was not to be touched- it was the only part she liked on the original. For some reason, the artist did that part anyways and it looked so bad that people commented on it! I went into the shop and talked to one of the artists who told me that we had three options: laser removal to get the part lightened then fixed, trying to lighten it with white ink or trying creams- I told him that we would try the laser option. My wife also posted her displeasure on their facebook page, but it was removed. This would have been a great time for them to tell us about the hidden requirement to show the owner the tattoo before getting the work done, but this didnt happen.So my wife had several painful laser sessions before we go in to have the tattoo looked at for repairs. Thats when they tell us that the repair will be new work because we didnt show them first! Even though I came in before the sessions, at no time were we told to do that and that was never given as a condition. The owner only added this requirement after the fact, even though we were acting on THEIR advice and doing exactly what we were told. All we wanted was the parts that werent supposed to be done in the first place fixed, but the owner refused even though they made the error.Ultimately, after much argument, we were given a refund for the original work. Its a shame, because we had intended on getting several more pieces done there. I suppose it wasnt worth it to the owner.

Only positive experience at AJ...Mike is awesome! Got my first sleeve done by him about 9 years ago and I still get stopped in the street by people wanting to know the artist.

Very unpleasant experience. The only thing that was good about this place was the music they were playing. Other than that, this is the least professional studio Ive ever seen. This was my tenth piece, and Ill never go back to this place.

I got staff infection cause of one of the artist there and it wasnt even a big piece it was small/medium. ive never been dug out so bad where i had to have numbing cream. and the floor manager which is the blonde chick was rude as hell. she was trying to blame me for my staff infection. i cleaned it well and cared for it with auqaphor. it took 3 months to heal after the conceive bleeding and pus coming out everyday. will not ever go back again. not recommended...
