It seems like more locals visit this beach, as it is tucked away and not immediately noticeable from A1A, so tourists might not realize it’s there.But, let me tell you: If you like a more quiet, less crowded area, where people keep plenty of space between each other, this is the beach to go to.The view of the ocean and sky is amazing, at this particular beach. I could spend all day there, sitting and admiring the ocean and the sky.This is my favorite beach to pick seashells.They also have two vending machines for soft drinks, which is nice, because I don’t know of any other beach in the area that has vending machines.Definitely a local favorite, don’t miss out on visiting this beach!

Beautiful and clean beach. The lifeguard was very friendly and courteous explaining everyone about the umbrella rules. The restrooms were very clean. There were not a lot of people, so it is perfect to be outdoors and continue social distancing. We got there very early, so didn’t have any problem finding parking, but there were plenty... and is free. A nice change from the beaches on the west coast. Highly recommended!

One our favorite places, but needs more dogs. Its such a great big swath of beach; HUGE distance of sand between parking and the shore. Would be the perfect location for a dog beach. I dont think they are allowed at all though, so... considering all the people beaches, its kind of a a wasted opportunity.

Very nice beach, doesnt seem to have a lot of parking. The beach further north is quite steep, not much to walk on, and none and at high tide. South Beach, however, is quite open, flat, and very inviting.Ill give it five stars after I move to the area.

Nice small beach park with easy access to the beach. Restrooms available, handicap parking and lots of free parking available.

The beach is wide, clean and well maintained. Plentiful of resting areas and thick shade. Parking lot, restrooms and vending machines available, just dont forget the singles for a cold drink.

Definitely a chill spot its going to three Beach accesses to a nice little Park before you get there ample facilities at soda machines its got water fountains pavilions everywhere it can be a little busy but I mean its because people like it.

Liked the free parking and was really easy to navigate! Wished the showers were in the bathroom and that the bathroom front door wasnt open showing all of the stalls. Literally saw a creepy dude backstep to take a look in at the women/girls inside.

The sunrise is absolutely amazing. Its not a place to go for the shells, but some days you can definitly find them.

Great beach, clean, good parking, restrooms, picnic area, volleyball courts. Very nice and pretty empty when we were there on a Sunday afternoon in September.

Such a large open beach area. Plenty of room to play volleyball or spread out a blanket. Well maintained landaping and clean bathrooms. The walkways from the parking lot to the beach seem almost magical. A great beach to start a walk from. Plenty of parking with an overflow lot.

There are turtle nests, coconut trees, tons of shells, volley ball, surfing, fishing, swimming, and the water was beautiful. Definitely a place to visit.

I use to go there all the time. I love it there. Its clean they have lifeguards. So even when I went alone I always felt safe. I love the walk down to the beach under the trees. There are clean bathrooms and several out door showers. They also have covered picnic tables on the grass in-between the parking lot and the beach. Its a nice clean park environment.

Beautiful beach, clean sand and non murky water! And surprisingly not a lot of people when we went. Its also a beach that protects its turtles as exemplified by the blocked out squares for the eggs and signs at the entrance. Overall, it was a great experience until a tornado started forming nearby? Kinda cool to see though.

Great spot for some sun. The beach is super wide so theres tons of places to find a spot to sit. Water is nice and the lifeguards seem active and engaging.

We always love this beach. Its a small walk from parking to the water but its well worth it. Never really crowded, the waves dont beat you up. And clear skies for miles.

The expanse of the beach is wonderful - personally love it when the wave noise grows as you approach the shore.

It was a good day for a bike ride from the gulf to the Atlantic. We enjoyed the beach n the waves. The beach was reasonable clean n not crowded. What I liked was the set back of the buildings from the beach.

Beach had a scum line that I thought would have been cleaned up before the beach opened. Life guard told us the storm would pass quickly, hour later it is still pouring with thunder and lightning, thank God for Mulligans and cold beer!

Beautiful wetland trails and pristine white sand beaches beneath blue skies. They take great care of the park-side of the beach, even with some artistic flairs. The parking is free, just as the beach is, and yet its the parking that is the main problem. Many people park on the grass despite the signs. They should just take down the signs and make it official.

Nice and quiet when we were there. Only a few people on the beach. Water was nice and warm. Clean beach and bathrooms.

Clean, well maintained park and beach area. The beach area is large and there are a lot of good spots for picnics, parties, and barbecues.

Great family spot! It has bathrooms (not the nicest) our side showers and pavilions to sit an eat at. Then you walk through a beautiful tree covered wooded path that opens up to sandy and shell filled beaches.

What can I say....free paved parking, showers, picnic benches, permanent bathrooms, large beach with lifeguards.

Nice little park with a beautiful entrance to the beach. It was slightly chilly but with the smell of the ocean and the sight of the sea it was enough to warm your heart.

Spotted a large Manta Ray just off shore as I was walking. Beach normally host to a few shore fishermen and sunrise yogi.

The waitress was awesome but the joy stopped there. We had clam and crab chowder and they werent thick. Crab cake needed to be cooked more. Conch fritters were very spicy. And poutine was just ok not much taste. Wont be going back.

Free parking, wide natural beach, few buildings in sight, and a life guard. You can’t find this anywhere else that I know in Florida. The bathrooms close at 7 but you may stay until 10 watching the turtles or the thunderstorms offshore.There is usually a 1 foot or less drop off as you enter the water so watch your little ones. When the wind is up there is a shore break. The life guards will signal if it is unsafe.

5 star beach.Its a must go destination.Bentleys and Lamborghini hot spots !!Rich and not so famous people everywhere..Avoid the RIU buffet ..Way over priced and the food is very nasty + bad service = BAD TIME..Go to the north end food trucks !!!

Nice looking Beach but there is a big sign that tells you everything you cant do there including surfing and fishing. I dont like being told what I cant do.

Beach & boardwalk were beautiful l but there is a very dangerous drop off going into the ocean. Always has rough waters. Not great for young kids. Not over-crowded. Bathrooms are very convenient!

We love it here. Its a little bit of a walk to the beach from the restrooms. Umbrella and chair rentals. Only vending machines, so you will maybe want to stop at the places in town to eat or use the picnic areas, which do not look onto the ocean. We go between tourist seasons so its not too busy. Parking is free.

Its a nice beach, boyfriends childhood spot so it was a nice quite area. If you go during a weekday or in the off season then literally no one is around. The water is absolutely beautiful, would definitely go again!

I went for a Paddle board ride at this beach it was amazing! You can rent from the PADL station across the street at the South Beach Place Hotel. Really easy you download the PADL app on your phone and ride away. 100% recomend this activity.
