I have been a member of this Y for almost a year and I am truly impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the staff and the people that I meet there. Ive always known about the YMCA but this is my first time being a member. Since Covid19 they have been even more diligent with keeping us all safe in the facility. We wear masks until we get in the water, put them back on as we are leaving the water, there is a limit on the number of people that can be in both the pools at one time (distancing) and there are some really nice members there also. Ive only seen a couple of people that have the audacity to say wearing a mask is a violation of their civil rights but we all deserve a safe place to workout, swim, etc. None of us has a right to infect some one else because of our selfishness. I wear my mask to protect those around me and keep my distance while in the water. I love this place and the people. I am so grateful for our Y! I saw in the previous comment that someone said membership was pushed on them because of Covid. Well, only members were allowed during this time and it included all the YMCAs even back east! And its all online and can be verified! Safe, healthy environments benefit us all :-)
Each time I took my daughter to swim, I encountered nothing but problems. The staff pushed a membership on me which was never required for a one time swim before COVID and the membership price is outrageous! Clearly taking advantage of people. Not to mention my daughter and I were FORCED to change in the same space as MEN. Disgusting!! And while swimming (which the slots are only 30 minutes) we swam for 20 then were kicked out of the pool. I asked to speak to a manager who acted like I was the problem and “escorted” me out. This place is not friendly and the most ridiculous part is they require a mask to check in (keep in mind you don’t interact with people) but then can take it off as soon as you enter the swim area 20 feet away. How hypocritical!! Mask while not talking to people but can be in the water swimming with no mask. Makes NO SENSE! Stay away from this place and any business who forces a mask on you as it is a violation of your rights on a religious level, medical level and according to the constitution. This place was SO RUDE to me and my daughter.
My family had a horrible experience and well never go back to the YMCA. Ive never left a negative review on any business before now.
Wonderful place. Terrific truly caring staff. Amazing foundational place for the local community! The lap pool and steam room are my favorites but the classes are many and varied and 99% included with membership and childcare is fantastically included with a family membership!
Great place to take the family. Pool area is outstanding for lap swim. Gym equipment is well maintained. Showers are kept clean. Lockers provided bring your own locks and towel. Wear shower shoes.
On two separate occasions I have brought in my service dog in and I had gotten yelled at and what are the locations was one of their receptionist is told me that I could not bring in my service dog without proper documentation when in fact they are not allowed to ask for documentation and to the so-called security guard yelled at me because my little service dog accidentally had a accident first time in 3 years. He embarrassed me in front of a bunch of people I started to cry. The management didnt seem to really care about my feelings and what had happened if I were you and if you are disabled and you have a service dog I wouldnt come to this facility they are not service dog friendly
It depends on who you talk to about services. We showered there for $3 each the first time but when we returned the next month and were told it should have been $12 which we were not going to pay. The showers have a push lever to get water which you have to push every 15 seconds to keep water on. Not much privacy for showing. A high difference from the YMCA we belonged to in Port Angeles, WA. Management and staff were like family to us and welcomed us by name every time we used the facilities. The YMCA in Vancouver should take lessons on how to be friendly and not condescending from the Port Angeles Y.
Its a great community, and has good ways to exercise and play. I go here on a daily basis with the exception of Sunday.
I go to a lot of YMCA, as I travel a lot. This one has the smallest mens locker room I have encountered. The equipment is high quality and well maintained. The staff is very friendly.
I love it here. Everyone is super friendly. The day care is awesome. I dont feel, i have to worry about my kids while working out. I wish there was spray in the locker rooms so you could disinfect the stalls before entering.. especially in the family locker room.
Love this place! Several studios for dance, karate and yoga. A rec pool as well as a separate lap pool. Track to run/walk on. An abundance of workout equipment. Locker rooms for 18-older, 18-younger, and family changing. Free lockers available. Personal training coaches, teachers of workout classes, and child watch. Theres also a living/dinning room and a conference room. Ive come here since forever and its like a second home!
Fun for the family and for single adults. I love the sauna, steam room, and swimming pools. The lap pool was a great addition!
Great ymca
Lots of classes and programs for both adults and children. Well maintained and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. A really nice place to work out or simply come in for a cup of coffee and to read a book.
Workout here all the time. Great gym. Needs more Ab machines though.
Not impressed with the swimming lessons at all. My son is almost 11 years old and a pretty advanced swimmer. There is a 4 year old in his class. There are like 8 kids total. My son gets to swim up and down the pool MAYBE two times the entire lesson. The rest of the time is spent with him waiting for everyone else. It’s a joke. I asked if he could be moved up and while the “instructor” agreed with me, she said she couldn’t recommend an advancement until the end of the 4 week session. So it was a total waste. We will not be returning.
Clean, safe, family oriented facility with all the equipment one would want to maintain a healthy/active lifestyle all at a reasonable cost.
Great place for the entire family to get good exercise. Great time for the gym and open basketball court. However the time they open during the weekends sucks. Close too early. They offer tons of different classes for adults and kids and my wife really enjoys attending those. The gym itself is huge with tons of machines and even during the pick hours you can get the machine that you need.We really like the swimming pool as well. It is heated! However, I wish they would deligate more time for adult swimming only, since swimming with teens is somewhat annoying. They have great customer service and very helpful.
Not a bad facility but locker room is smaller than the steam rooms?!
My boys enjoy going here, my oldest can now swim on his own while I work out. My wife enjoys the variety of classes.
This is a family friendly workout atmosphere with all types of machines, pools, saunas, now water massage chairs, basketball courts n all indoors! Its clean wonderful staff n even a study room with tv n or books to relax n read with Wi-Fi available. Best thing its always open very early n closes late except weekends time different n the cost is so reasonable that everyone can afford it if they skipped 2 fast food trips in a month! Anna F
Adorable prices for swimming pool, $38 per month for one. I like this place. Its place and the water is warm. They have an Olympic size swimming pool with 80°water.
Awesome to finally lift again
Professional in swimming, good dealing with people and understanding their concerns if they have. Happy and wellcoming staff .Thanks YMCA
I miss this gym its great, good equipment and the staff is wonderful
Well-maintained facilities, friendly staff. Trying to find pool time can be interesting sometimes as it is a popular place in a convenient location, but its not impossible if youre friendly and dont mind sharing a lane occasionally.
I was really pleased as an adult taking swimming lesson with our Instructor Abby, that I truly learned the basics of swimming. I now have lost the fear of pools, because I have been taught the tools to relax and know I will be ok. All that in just 2 days a week for the month of June and a great instructor. I feel great and confident. Thank you Abby.
I love the water exercise classes there.
Good place to take your kids a lot of activities
Loving the pool!
Nice remodel, they open new dry and steam sauna to both sex, previously only in mens changing room. Great work out room, track and basketball court. Many treadmills and exercise equipment. If your looking for a gym membership come to the YMCA youll enjoy everything they offer. I believe membership is still around $40/monthly. Great Investment!
Helpful staff. Open swim should be more convenient for school hours. Lots of programs to get family active. Get free trainer time to help meet your goals.
Our whole family goes here. I just wish they had a bigger weight room and more spin classes.
The YMCA classes are very good for me and I appreciate them.
This gym is amazing! The equipment is wonderful and they provide free personal training whenever you need it. The equipment is very current & updated. One thing I really enjoyed was the workout kiosk where you can input every workout completed and it will print out the next workout according to your goals. It will even give you a short video for each exercise suggested. Example: dead lifts. The environment is very open, clean, fun and comfortable. Id love to see something like this in the Lodi, CA area!
Amazing staff and instructors. Clean, family friendly, and has great group workout programs which really motivates and pushes me.
Love the place but I think they should have more time for open swim and they should have a little shelf in the showers to put the soaps to wash
Clean facilities, and a very nice pool. If in the area I would recommend this Y.
New to the Y, went to worship service today, Thank you dear Lord for putting this distraction in the path you have chosen for me. I am lost at the momet w lifes changes, They made me smile and cry but I left with a full Heart,, !!!!!
Incredibly glad we got a membership! The childcare resources alone make it completely worth it. My wife an I now have the opportunity to work out together (read: go swimming) without worrying if our daughter is okay, since shes not at an age where she can swim yet. It gives us a lot of freedom, and the virtual trainer system they have there is pretty neat! Too many resources for one person to take full advantage of, and that makes it worth the meager 75/mo.
We attended some group exercise classes (holy yoga and a Saturday morning Zumba class) while visiting the Portland area. The facility was wonderful, and the desk staff were all friendly and helpful in getting us through the check-in process as visitors. Members were great, too, helping us navigate. The class instructors were fantastic - we loved our time there!
Its good but get a good lock and a safe place to keep your things in besides the locker because somebody broke into my locker and stole everything
We love it. Everyone here has a humble attitude.
I have been a member for 13 years. I like the staff and the support they give. Good place
Nicest people...im older and feel welcomed everywhere I go there...i feel very safe all the time
Everyone is open loving and kind . The staff come out and help my husband get in the car and w/c and put his w/C IN our carThat really helps me. Such care and kindness quite often bring me to tears. Thank u all my YMCA family. All the ladies at the water arobics are the best.
Great place, clean and safe for the whole family! Great classes! Good value!
Clean and functional. Always a good pickup game available on the courts
Very nice place and has multiple things to keep busy for the whole family.
Good place too hoop at
So we get there ready to swim (keep in mind we is 3 adults with 2 children). We pay, change and head to the pool. As soon as walk in a lifeguard tells us we have to wait 30 minutes for the kids to swim. I immediately ask her why I wasn’t informed when I paid she said “the front desk doesn’t know our schedule” which is weird to me because I mean it’s online so yes it’s my bad not looking it up but I figured before I paid someone would’ve told me that information. No biggy though the kids were willing to wait. We had fun and after awhile the adults got out to dry off and a lifeguard came over, I said “I’m sorry do I need to be with them?” She said “yes I can tell you’ve never been here before and I realize nobody told you the rules so that’s why I was giving you slack” just rude like I understood but you don’t have to be rude about it when I had no problem with the rules. BUT the best part right after (not even 5 minutes later) a dad did the same thing and let his very little son (maybe 3) swim ALONE and she watched not saying a word.... only reason I’m giving any stars is because it was clean.
Tried to cancel service and they accidentally thought I just meant for a month. They changed me again for a service I did and couldnt use. Then I had to go in again to cancel, again, and they were rude to me the whole time. Dont go here this place is garbage
Wow...these pools are in great condition...(I only would like to suggest that during swim meets the bleachers werent in back of the ones who are timing the swimmers...we cant see)
Everyone was super helpful and accommodating. I appreciated the help our large group received and the patience from staff while we completed paperwork.
This place was great for the whole family, the kids got to swim i git to workout it seemed a little disorganized with only one person at the front desk and it started to get over crowded, they got more staff out opened up the second gym and everyone still had a good time. great experience
Always okay for a great work out
I love going to the Clark County YMCA to swim. Both of their pools are really nice and their swim team is awesome, I eventually want to join. Their basketball court is very nice and big, and they also have a nice piano in the main lobby. If you are looking for a great place to swim in the summer or anytime (because they have indoor pools.) I would recommend the Clark County YMCA.
Staff very friendly. Great programs
My family and I joined last year (2017) and have been going for 6 months now or so. Super friendly staff and kiddos love Y Time. Best deal for family fitness anywhere in Vancouver area. Highly recommend
This Clark County County Vancouver YMCA in my experience is the worst YMCA I have encountered between the two States.Stuck up, unprofessional discortious staff who make up their own rules for the community as if they are franchising this location. Employees who are not trained to provide good customer service, but who cant solve simplest issues while making it difficult for youth and families to access the facility our tax dollars pay for as a neighborhood facility. So contrary to the vision of the YMCA. Spend $10 more dollars and go Cascade Athletics, the opposite of YMCA Vancouver with a truly family fun atmosphere.
Its a nice facility but I wish they were open more. There hours are terrible
I love the yoga program!! Yoga 6 days a week!
This Y offers friendly employees and well maintained equipment. Many of the weightlifting machines allow movement of the whole body. After using them, I feel energized, not tired.
The place is nice and clean. It has a lot of classes and new equipment. It also has great hours.
Very friendly and helpful staff!!!
Staff is great, prices are very fair!
I really love this place for so many reasons: great prices and family discounts; the staff is a composition of the nicest people I’ve met; they have new and good machines for weight exercises; they have classes for all levels and ages; a pool for play and a pool for laps with nice sauna and steam room. They also offer great family serviceSplendid place, people, community !Thank you
Great pools, which is primarily what I use here. The exercise equipment seems to be adequate and generally in good repair. Most of all this place is very clean and has a real community feel. Staff is always kind and helpful.
Was an Out of Towner. Nice, clean & friendly. My niece would not tell me how much she paid for us to swim So, I Believe It Was EXPENSIVE.
Great family gym
Restarting exercise program and taking my 4 yr old grandson to Y time. Friendly, caring, compassionate, professional and clean! I love the Y and my grandson has a great time too!
Best gym i have been too. Great pricing with the family rate. Always clean. Very friendly staff. The gym has a great vibe. All different kind of people of different ages and goals. The gym definitely has the best community feel Ive ever had at a gym. Equipment is all solid, smooth and well maintained. Nice pool, sauna, lockers, and basketball courts. Also a lot of group classes available. Only downfall to the gym for me that makes it a 4 star and not a 5 would be the hours. Gym closes at 10 most days. It would be huge if it could be open just the extra hour until 11. Getting there and working out then showering by 11 can be tough if you work late. Also hours are even more limited friday-saturday. Other than that great place to have a membership
Lots of physical activities for the young and old.
Great staff and clean facility. My kids love coming here and kids staff are awesome. Good mix of workout equipment and pool and gym are nice.
Very good place
Great pools, the rec pool is kept warm enough that my son does not grey cold when swimming here. Be aware, the lap pool cant be used for a couple of hours every evening due to swim team activities
This place is good because you can do things and there’s a community room and you can bring food from home this place is good a lot of things to do it and there fun. It is a great experience at CCFY
Great place for the whole family!! My kids are willing to go there anytime. So much fun and activities to do! Highly recommended!!
Love the pool for handicapped accessible
Great place for church
Nice people realy big basketball court.
Ive had about 4 different gym memeberships and i gotta say this has been the best gym!
Nice place. Clean. Good atmosphere. Good equipment.
People here are very helpful and very friendly.
I have been going to the YMCA for about three years, mostly the pool due to back pain and mobility issues due to arthritis. I have made some great friends there and the staff have always treated me great. When I requested from Eddie, the director, a side walk to connect the apartments next door, Springbrook Village Apartments to the YMCA for the many who live here and attend there they had this installed within a month. Its great when the rains hit as before we sunk into the grass. The Pastor of the YMCA, Pastor Roger is awesome, loves and cares for those in this area.
Nice YMCA great coach for my grandson!
Great spot for kids swim lessons. Attentive life guards and skilled swim instructors.
After debating between Firstenburg and YMCA, I chose the Y. I have not been disappointed! The weights and equipment are great, my kids are well taken care during Y time, the classes are excellent, the lap pool is so much better than Firstenburg and the YMCA is much more affordable in every aspect. My kids love swimming there and the vibe is positive and welcoming. Thank goodness for the Y!
Our family loves it! It has flexible hours, enough equipment, wonderful staff, great class selection. Their child care doesnt use TV and gets my kids exercise too!
Its an alright gym and activity center. Some of the equipment should be fixed or replaced, but most of their stuff is functional. The staff is pretty responsive to questions and they are pretty good about signing members up.Overall, probably on part with 24 Hour Fitness with alternatives to working out.
Everyone is friendly and its a great community to be involved in. The sauna could use a little more maintenance but other than that excellent classes, machines and staff.
I just found out they are remodeling the saunas. What once was a nice female sauna and a male sauna will now be a UNISEX sauna. Why would they do that? I will not be back because of this.
Clean, professional employees. Relatable and friendly on Sundays.
My gym. Love to try and help places like this keep going. Kids love the daycare. Always people smiling.
The staff here is very disrespectful and rude. every time I come to this particular location Y the lady with the blond hair in a ponytail has a rude ugly attitude. She works upstairs and She’s the nastiest person and lacks customer service period! Also I’m a full time mother and student Trying to go get my workout done but the sauna closes so early I can’t even enjoy it because the employees are so ready to close everything down early which is ridiculous! I got to the sauna at 9:20pm and they said it was closed already. The lady with the blonde ponytail and old lady face is the rudest one out of all of them. This ugly broad made my daughter cry because we Misunderstood the policy for 12yr old-13yr olds maybe she was pms I don’t know! A lot of members have told me how rude she is to them as well sad that they would keep such a nasty employee there. Plus my four year old experienced being neglected in the kid area. The only reason i go here is for the church because those are the only nice people at that location. If I could give this location less than a one star trust I would!
Amazing family friendly environment. I love the staff and everything is always so clean.
Excellent workout facility. Like the walking track indoor, basketball court and swimming pool.
Went to the gym with my husbands brother & husband... Nice place & friendly staff!
Beatuiful facility. Front desk staff very freindly and helpful. Thanks
