Woods Ferry Recreation Area

Awesome trail ride this morning. Love the winding trails & the ups & downs. Amazing how it has changed tho. Never had the pipes in the ground for the water to run through when I would go many years ago. Cant wait to go back & ride through again!!!

Be prepared. This was a nice quite place to visit. Very primitive so make sure u have ALL needs. We enjoyed the trails and creeks.

Nice place to spend some time with the family or just go for a walk if your like me I spend hours at a time there just walking. Only thing j see a problem with is the road could use some long needed repair they have restrooms that are open all year around and they are clean and supplied so go out and enjoy some time out doors.

Sasquach came and stole my cooler but other than that it was a pretty pleasant experience

Its a long way to the auto parts store...but otherwise it is a nice spot. Well spaced large campsites, some with corrals for your horses. Wooded hilly, out door showers, indoor toilets..if we get back this way we will definitely stay again... $7.00 per night...half off with Passport America, America the Beautiful etc.. $3.50 a night is very affordable!!NO DUMP STATION BUT does have Drinking water.

Rode horses there many years, lots of History there, beautiful scenery, great trails, Day ride parking, Overnight Horse ride Camping, each time there, learn something new, plenty of water

Its nice. Its unused, and so the campground is falling into disrepair.

They tore down the showers? Thats what made it a ok campground. Also the rangers bother you. Just not a good experience. Also a stray dogs are loose. We informed a Union county sheriffs deputy of a dangerous dog loose and what we were told it wasnt his job. Would not recommend it and firmly believe that the fed should look at the local rangers.

This is a gem. We loved the place and the price. Plenty of things to do from hiking,fishing and even a rifle range down the road.

A nice section of Sumter State Forrest - has a very nice and isolated gun range.

Very pretty place, not overcrowded, well kept

Okay if you dont end up camping beside someone who has to have their generator running all night long. 10 PM quiet time isnt enforced.
