What an amazing zoo. Its the best Ive ever been to. We were there for about 4 hours and needed another 2 or 3 to see everything. They have a wonderful play ground for the kids. The enclosures are amazingly designed and decorated. They have a great sampling of animals and such a friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back and we are from AZ.

Is this a safe place to go during current circumstances? YES! This was my first big outing since March and the safety precautions in place are amazing. The signs and sanitizing stations are incredibly effective at keeping you safe on your visit. Seriously, the signs are great. I went on a Monday morning with a 9:00am ticket and only saw one other family until about 11:00am when more people arrived. I recommend bringing your own food or trying the outdoor restaurant near the tigers!

First time to Oklahoma and we wanted to check out the zoo. Its was beautiful and they had so many animals. We felt pretty safe if you came close to someone in passing people would pull up thier mask. Sanitizer stations pretty often as well. The price is great as well. Loved the play area for the kids too. Over all we where very happy with our experience. We will be becoming members as soon as we move out there. Would highly recommend.

Today we had to make reservations to enter the park. That was understandable. However when filling it out, it wasn’t CLEARLY posted on how to select our time slot, so we made a purchase for 3 adult tickets one child and one infant. Realizing I hadn’t selected a time, I called to ask. I am told my ticket is non refundable, however they are reserving our ticket for next time since the time Slot wasn’t ideal for our Whole family. We get there at 2pm for our time slot, by 4pm they had taken all the animals back inside and we couldn’t see them. There was no maps to be handed out and the maps they had “on site” weren’t very clear. No where on the website was it posted that both the kiddie park and petting zoo was closed, which was disappointing because we drove from Kansas to pet animals, when we could have went to the caney zoo instead. There were several enclosures with no animals at all. We seen no tigers/lions, no rhinos, no reptiles, the rainforest was closed, but that one was actually listed on their website that it would be. I wouldn’t have left a review at all, however apon leaving on Labor Day of 2020, the boy working the exit was so rude when I mentioned updating the website I felt the need to let other people know.A lot of precaution were taken because of COVID and we understand that and appreciate it. I just wish we would have been made aware before packing up our children and taking that drive.

I had a great time! A lot was under construction or closed down due to Covid-19. They have Asian elephants but no African elephants which I was a bit saddened by. They did make up for it by having a Komodo Dragon. The different buildings were neat to go through. Lots of animals and birds to see in them. I love the Sealion exhibit.

I have always been a big supporter of the Tulsa Zoo; however, my most recent visit was very depressing. So many of the animals have no partners. When I heard a little girl say to her mother Where are the animals friends ? Why are they so sad ? I want to go home !. I understood the cruelty on so many levels. If Tulsa cant afford the Zoo, set it free.

Been going to the Tulsa zoo essentially my whole life. Its improved a lot over the years adding new features. Sure Ive been to bigger and better zoos (which probably have multitudes times the budget as well) but the Tulsa zoo is mine and wouldnt have it any other way. Taking my son + daughter in the same train and the same caves I went through as a small kid and going to Hallowzooween like I did growing up is great. After the zoo and go across the street to the Air and Space museum to top it off and youve got a wonderful day

Pretty nice zoo for what I expected in Tulsa. They have several exhibits with the usual mega fauna, and a great selection of reptiles, birds, and insects. The updated exhibit with the tigers is on point. There are beautiful old growth trees to give visitors plenty of shade. Several concessions for food and drink are easily available. Hopefully they can open up a newly remodeled playground soon for the kids to enjoy, it looks so cool!We will go back.

Most buildings are open with good signage showing how to enter/exit and when you have to have a mask on. They have done a good job on trying to keep everyone and animals safe. We always stop at the Macaw Landing Grille to eat, usually its packed with people and seats but theyve thinned it out for comfortable and safe eating - the food is still hot and delicious.I do wish they would revamp their train line (or habitats) to see more animals. We rode it twice and the first time the only animals we saw where 2 giraffes, the second time we got a treat..an elephant then the giraffes. They do have plexiglass between the seats on the train, also no more all day bracelets for train and carousel rides. All the animals seemed to be out in their habitats inside the buildings. Fun day!

So the Zoo was a really good experience!! There are paw prints on the ground for social distancing when there are lines, and the people do a good job of social distancing even without the paw prints. The food was good. I have a burger and fries, and it was a good burger and fries. They dont have Coca Cola there, so that was a downfall because I that is my favorite soda. Most of the animals werent out, but there were geese everywhere. The carousel wasnt open. The train was open, and went all around the park. There is plexiglass between the carts on the train for social distancing. I think that this is good for a good range of people, we had 11 and still had tons of fun. We also went to the gift shop and got some stuff, there stuff is really cool, just a little pricey. Overall it was a good trip, and I will definitely be coming back!

We have been members for years and were debating whether to renew or not. We called the office and spoke with a very knowledgeable gentleman that put our minds at ease, concerning the new safety measures and protocols. We decided to renew and give it a try. Disappointed!!! Definitely need to work on the cleaning! The train had plexiglass covered in mucus and spit. We asked the girls where are the wipes that the web site mentioned? We were informed that they were out and to get more would take too long. When we asked the girls how often they cleaned, they said maybe every 3 hours. No big deal, but if your website claims one thing and your employees are doing something completely opposite, things need to be reevaluated.

Even with the changes made for COVID-19 and some of the interaction areas being off limits, I feel that this was still an event worth the price. The indoor areas are open to viewing and you can still see all the animals. The train is operating with reduced capacity and the gift shop is open. We didnt have children with us, so many of the interactive sites that were closed didnt apply to us. But to a younger demographic there are fewer places to play.

I was actually able to see all the exhibits except for the winter animals. Did not catch any shows but I still enjoyed going there. I rode the train this time but they were only doing round trips around the entire zoo. Usually they would stop mid trip. It even had announcements about every exhibit that we came across. And some history along the way. It is a very long walk so be prepared for it. They have restrooms and cooling stops along the way. Dress comfortably and appropriately because, for me, it was a long walk. Most of the animals were out and about so that was nice too. Prices for drinks were a little higher than Im use to paying for but worth it. They also have alcoholic drinks for anyone that wants one. The food and ice cream were a must!! Delicious in every way!! They have memberships for those that enjoy bringing their families and friends more than once and the prices are worth it. I recommend this zoo to all animal lovers and those that are curious if they are one. Enjoy!! Have fun!! Be safe and watch out for one another.

I grew up in Tulsa, and have been coming to the Tulsa Zoo for over 40 years. Each and every time I came with my mom, the memories were solidified in my brain. All the way back when I was 5. I love those memories. Now, I get to bring my son here and show him the same lion and tiger housing with the mote surrounding it, just like when I was a kid. He appreciated the Flamingos a little more than the lion, out for some sun that day. But, we made the same memories together that I made with my mom so long ago. The whole Zoo is always improving and growing and its exciting to see all the new exhibits each year. Just really thankful the Tulsa Zoo is still The Tulsa Zoo. My hometown Zoo with lots of fun for myself and my family way back then in the early 1970s, as well as now, and the future. Sincerely, a grateful Tulsa native and his son.

Was really disappointed with this zoo trip. Several of the animals/reptiles/fish were marked temporarily not on exhibit, and many of the outdoor animals were either not in their public habitats or they seemed lethargic or decrepit. The giraffe and rhinoceros exhibits were enjoyable. Zoo staff were polite and helpful. Our visit started during the 1pm entry group, and zoo staff told us that they were sold out of tickets for the whole day (even more surprising that so many exhibits seemed mediocre).

I grew up in Tulsa, which means I grew up going to this zoo. I have only ever been to one other Zoo, so I don’t have a lot to compare this one too. I’m not going to review The Tulsa Zoo based off my visits during COVID-19, because that wouldn’t be fair. Of course there’s a lot they can improve on, but overall it’s really an amazing zoo with a lot going on. I’ve been a member for a few years, so we get in free every time we come, but I do agree that the admission prices are high. I probably couldn’t afford to bring my family but a few times a year if I hadn’t purchased the membership. I recommend getting a membership, because it saves you so much money in the long run. We never eat when we come, because the food is extremely high, but the good thing is that you can bring your own food and drinks for lunch. My kids love the train, but expect to walk A LOT if you come. The Tulsa Zoo has updated a lot of enclosures over the years, but there’s still a ton to remodel. The building are mostly bare, which sucks. As a kid the building were the best part, so they need to work on those for sure. The chimpanzee building is super outdated, much like the rest of the main attractions enclosures. Hopefully after COVID things start to happen and they can continue to improve the park and open up the much anticipated play ground. Overall we love the Tulsa Zoo and can’t wait to come back.

Discounts on train and even food and drink for Zoo Friends members. If you plan to take a family more than once per year, the Zoo Friends membership is a great deal and pays for itself very quickly.Edited to add: Im not sure how long it will last but Summer 2019 there is an art exhibit made with ocean plastic. Its the first zoo weve been to in years and everyone who works here was really friendly except the one guy who wasnt. As you can see in the pictures below, there was a loose Peacock running around the zoo and he decided to hang around the food court where we ate lunch. He mostly kept to himself (though he freaked out my kiddo sister in law) so I decided to give him my crust for being so polite. There were no signs that read do not feed the birds or WATCH OUT, roaming Peacocks, so I figured no big deal.I was wrong. A very burly bearded man walked up to us, growled, dont feed the birds!, threw the crust away and walked off. He didnt stick around to make sure we didnt continue to feed the bird, he didnt seem concerned that there was a wild Peacock running around, and he was just overall rude to my family and Ill remember that. The Peacock was kind of cool, I mean he jumped in the Kangaroo pit and 100% picked a fight with every Roo he got close to. His feathers were beautiful and intimidating and though he bugged the tar out of the other animals, he was really nice to us and Ill remember that too. I would recommend this zoo to anyone just to see the roaming Peacocks. I hope this helps. :)

The food at one of the restaurants had some of the worst food Ive had in a long time. If Im paying $30.00 for myself, my wife, and my 2 year old to eat some burnt chicken strips, something needs to change.
