Phenomenal spot to check out in downtown Tulsa. Everything youve ever heard about this place is true. The Center of the Universe should be one of the wonders of the world. Next to the old train station along side historical buildings and beautiful gardens, take time to go downtown to see for yourself! Stand in the middle of that huge cement circle and yell as loud as you can. Only you will hear the echos! Magical in every sense of the word. Amazing. Thank you Tulsa!

Do not expect anything overly impressive in terms of looks. However, the acoustic phenomenon here is definitely unusual. It is pretty neat. You can here it a bit recording from the center. If you are a singer or someone who likes to make videos, you will have fun visiting here. I sang Hallelujah. It was great!

Nice place to get together with family n frnds for sometime. When you stand in the center of the circle and shout then you can hear an Echo of it. Not that loud but assumptively yes. The trains passing below that area is quite irritating specially the honkings. One time visit not that exciting to recommend but still out of curiosity one time visit is OK!!!

Pretty cool phenomenon. But the place needs updated, it is becoming an eye sore for such a cool spot. If people would learn to treat things better, it probably wouldnt look like it does. But alot of people have zero standards, and it shows when they visit a place and leave trash, food and other unpleasant things lying about.

Interesting phenomenon in the center! One bad thing is the area around it is pretty ghetto. Alot of homeless people around and one man was just walking around and muttering to himself. A cool thing is the Jazz house next to it is supposedly haunted and it was formerly an old depot. It has interesting stories behind that place.

Very neat ... and free!My sister and I went on a Sunday during the covid shutdown. All downtown Tulsa was quiet! Kinda eerie to see only four people walking ... separately ... with masks. Then we came upon this little spot.Google directions were great for finding this. Maybe because it was so quiet, it worked perfectly! Such a neat trick of acoustics! My sis and I got giggly as we played with the echo.

My husband and I went to Tulsa with some friends and visited this place while we were there and it was pretty neat! I dont know how it works, but it definitely sounds strange when youre in the circle! We hung out there for a while to watch others reactions and that was fun too. I agree that its not worth a long trip just to visit here, but its close to other Tulsa attractions. Its definitely a must do if youre in the area!

Was definitely an interesting find. Standing in the center of the circle your voice echos back to you really loud. The kids had fun. Its a 5 minute stop tops, but if its not too far out of your way definitely worth it. From parking area walk a ways down sidewalk towards bridge, on the bridge is where you will find it.

It is actually a mishmash of end of the world myths. the audio effects are created by micro uni-directional speakers which are beamed directly at the speaker, hence the only you effect of the echo. it is a simple diversion if you happen to be in the area, not worth a special trip unless you have guests who are especially credulous or part abunaki.

I had never heard of the Center of the Universe until we did some traveling in 2018. It is a really cool to visit if you are nearby, but probably not worth a long distance drive. While you are standing in the Center of the Universe everything you say has an echo, but just outside the center there is no echo. Neat. I am not sure what causes this phenomenon to occur, but still its a really cool experience.

Cool place to check out if you happen to be in the area. Only reason for 4 stars instead of five was the “lime/bird” electric scooter posse terrorizing the scene. If you have small children or pets with you, just be aware of the loud and repetitive clanging from unsupervised children bashing the monuments door knocker style feature. Our dog is usually unperturbed by anything, but was so freaked out by the marauding bird scooter posse and the unrelenting and echoing “clang” that we had to dip out soon after arriving.
