This dog park is split into two different section, one for small dogs and the other for large dogs. I have a small breed (Corgi) and had the opportunity to take my bestie this morning before it got too hot.IMO the park is designed perfectly, with the area for small breeds being the perfect size.The large breed area is absolutely huge, being five or six times larger that the park we usually frequent.The large breed area was a bit rambunctious, with large dogs playing their version of King of the mountain.Besides the fantastic park, the reason I indicated 5 stars is due to the group of people that were in the small breed area. They apparently start every day hanging out at the park with each other. They were so friendly and started chatting with me immediately. I dont usually get gushy, but I could tell they truly enjoyed each others company. After being in quarantine for the last several monthsit was so nice to hang out with them.There is a table there has tags from dogs that frequented the park that have passed away.I thought it was an incredibly sweet gesture.If you live in Rita Ranch like to socialize your dog and talk to fun people, Id say its worth your time and effort.

3rd or 4th time at the dog park, first time coming early in the morning. My dogs are old folk, so it seems the morning crowd is a little more relaxed than the evening crowd. But always a great experience. Other dog owners socialize with one another and interact with all the dogs.

Great dog park! There is a separate area for small dogs and large dogs. Plenty of rakes to pick up poo, some shade and places to sit for the humans, and lots of area to run!

So Google has reminded me that I can review this place, and I do frequent dog parks around Tucson so Im not a hundred percent sure which one this is referring to but if its the one I think it is my little buddy had a blast of a good time, there were not that many dogs around. Which is good for social distancing obviously.

Nice little park, its a bit hidden off the parking lot and the pavement gets hot on the way in, so just be prepared. Had a water fountain, shade and cute bone benches! Also section for large and small dogs, both similar in what was in the area, small dog area just a bit smaller. My dogs had a nice visit on our way through town. Will visit again.

Truly depends on who you share the space with as to whether its a good or bad experience. You never know if owners will take responsibility for their dogs. I would say bring the dogs, but have a back up plan for exercise. I almost always wind up just walking the park with my pups because they get harrassed. If there are good owners, then it is a fabulous place to let your dog explore and romp around!

Beautiful and clean and large park. Has wonderfully aesthetic structures and ample trash cans and supplies to keep the park clean and free of dog litter. Sadly the large dog enclosed portion only has a 5ft fence. Its not good for climbers or jumpers, but still a very nice park otherwise.

Dog park itself is nice. theres two separate areas for small enlarged dogs. Has a big open area for the dogs to run also plenty of plant life along the side for them to smell.be aware though that there are a lot of timid and uneducated people who come here. Here are some tips for those people:1. Its a dog park... dogs may bark.2. Do not keep your dog leashed inside the dog park. (There is a paved paths outside the park if you wish to walk them on a leash.)3. The dog park is not inappropriate place for your toddlers and young kids because they like dogsDo a quick Google search of dog park etiquette before coming please. Dont ruin it for everyone else.

Most beautiful park for dogs that I’m aware of in tucson. Most people there are responsible and respectful dog owners. There’s a few that have created problems in the past however the park is patrolled. I love bringing my dogs here.

With separate large dog and small dog areas you will find a safe place for your dog of any size. This dog park is well fenced, clean and has water accessible; you might want to bring your own bowl to minimize community watering illnesses. Dog owners are on their honor with dog poop, which isnt hard to manage with waste collection tools located at multiple points in the park.

Only saw 1 lone poop pile!! Great place to run around. Such a cute tribute to Ivan, thanks for your service brave buddy!

This is the second time weve been here for our annual picnic and its a great park. Parking can be limited but there were a ton of people in attendance so thats understandable. I do wish the bathrooms were closer to the park itself. Thats a long way to walk with a kid thats gotta go but great park.

I dont know how they have a park that is so unlit. While walking to the dog area there are no lights whatsoever. As we all know Tucson has terrible streets so walking on the path to the dog area without any lights is extremely dangerous and difficult. The chances of falling are great.

Nice big park. Well maintained. No other dogs when I was there, so I walked the path inside of the park.

I drove 20 miles to check out this park only to find out that it was closed from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. for cleaning. Even though I appreciate the parks department cleaning the dog park, they should mention on their website that the park is closed for an hour during the middle of the day. The park looked very nice but I was unable to use it since I could not wait around for an hour for it to reopen. Also, instead of immediately cleaning the park, the worker sat outside the park in his truck and ate his lunch. It would have been nice if we could have used the park while he was eating his lunch.

My first dog park so I didnt know what to expect. This place was super clean and it was a wonderland for our dog. We also too all of our kids and they had a blast. Plenty of places to sit and talk or just relax under some trees. Well see a out visiting this park often.

I take Winston to the dog park every night and he loves enteracting with all the other dogs and I enjoy meeting so many nice people.

This has to be one of the best ideas Ive ever seen. Weve used this service numerous times now. Sure beats having to drag out the hose and dog shampoo!Oh... And if your favorite Canine decided to play with a skunk... They have special shampoo to deal with that!So definitely go check them out!!While there, may as well get your ride washed too.

Our doggies and us love this park. Weve been going to Ivans Spot big doggie park since our first pup was old enough to be there 4 years ago. On the early morning weekends and times we go, the group of dogs there interact good with each other, and we the owners also interact with all dogs and are pretty proactive ensuring play doesnt get out of control, we are successful most of the time and for the most part we have learned the regular doggies quirks which is very helpful. Life is not perfect so every once in a while doggies may be a bit too jumpy or easily annoyed by others.... overall, monitoring the dogs play and cleaning after them has been a collective priority and common understanding amongst most owners

Nice dog park. It is all mainly rocks and trees or shrubs, there is no grass which is ok with me. Lots of places to sit. There is a separate small dog and big dog area.

Overall a nice dog park. However not everyone cleans up after their dogs. Also for whatever reason some people bring small dogs into the large dog side, I wish they wouldnt do that.

Its a fantastic dog park with really beautiful landscaping. The crowd that typically comes here are all really nice and hold each other accountable. The only complain is at night time it is a little too dark.

This is a great place to bring your dog so it can exercise and interact with other dogs. They have this split into a small dog park and a large dog park. It is always fun to watch the small dogs running along the fence line between the 2 parks and seeing one of the larger dogs running along side both barking and wagging their tails in glee.

BEWARE!!! The dog park is a five star. But the people that go there may not be a 5 star. Unfortunately, their dogs behavior REFLECT THE MEANNESS AND AGGRESSIVE OF THEIR OWNER. Owners may not watch their dog or just not care. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!Case in point: Today, about 4 oclock we went to this nice park. We are visiting from NM. We sometimes use the large dog area as I have a Border Collie, also a Corgi (pretty tough) and a street wise 15 lb. Papillion mixed with Sheltie. We entered this area, and walked to the back. We sat on the bench, watching our dogs play. Noone else was at the park at the time.In comes a man with 2 large German shephards. They ran to the back of the park and proceeded systematically to attack each one of our 3 dogs throats. Both dogs, teamed up, liked trained killer dogs. The man came waltzing to the back of the park & yelled at us that this was a large dog area and we were breaking the rules. We should be in the small dog area. He stopped and watched the killing. Meanwhile, my husband grapped the jaw of each German Shepherd to get them first off the border collie, then the corgi, then two of them GANGED up on the Papillion/Sheltie. I felt so helpless, as we tried everything to get the dogs off ours. THE OWNER DID NOTHING.The papllion took a puncture wound in the neck and was bleeding bad. I am sobbing, took him to the small dog park to wash the blood off and put pressure on the wound. The Border Collie got loose and aimed for our car, thank goodness. Meanwhile, a woman came with her small and large dog and stayed at the entrance as his 2 German shephards took a direct path towards her dogs. The owner immediately took his dogs out of the area and that is when he kept saying our dogs should be in the small dog area again and again and again and never had concern for us or our dogs. My husband had blood all over his shorts. The man followed my husband, who wanted to put the border collie in our car, and threatened confrontation. Terrible, terrible to see your dogs mauled and the Owner doing Nothing!!! And then the owner going after you!! DOG PARKS R DANGEROUS.WE TOOK OUR LITTLE GIZMO TO THE EMERGENCY VET AT VCA. HE LOST ALOT OF BLOOD WITH A PUNCTURE WOUND THAT HIT HIS TRACHEA AND WITH THE KISS OF BLOOD AND DIFFICULTY IN BREATH ING, WE HAD TO PUT HIM TO SLEEP. OUR CORGI HAD A WOUND ON HIS BACK SIDE. THESE DOGS AIM FOR DOGS, BIG AND SMALL. THEY HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO KILL. IT HAPPENED FAST.

Love this dog park. Usually a bunch of small yapping dogs in the small park but its not too bad. There are water fountains for the dogs and pooper scoopers set all around with trash cans.
