El Presidio Park really isn’t really a ‘park’ in my mind but I would call it a ‘square’. Nevertheless it’s a very nice place to hang out and relax. I love the cacti and the historical monuments which are educational. Once they finish the renos for the old court house it will be even better. The Meet Yourself Festival which is held there annually is pretty cool too. ️

I loved seeing the courthouse. It was beautiful! There is a walk that goes around downtown Tuscon, and you can follow the Turquoise line to different spots around town. The Courthouse area was the best part of the walk. The rest of the walk is fun to see, but I wouldnt go out of my way to do it again.

Too many skateboarding teenagers using the Plaza as a skateboard park. There were old signs prohibiting rollerskating and skateboarding, but those signs were being totally ignored.

This is a cultural park, lots of beautiful architecture, statures and memorials but nowhere for little children to play. I visited this park on a Saturday. There was a water fountain. No public restrooms except for when the courthouse and surrounding businesses are open on the week days. Parking was difficult to find. The parking garage under the park is also not open on the weekends. The morning I visited it was full of transients. As an adult I loved the park its self but I felt very nervous.

Beautiful plaza shaded and cooled by mature trees. A large waterfountain also helps make this a pleasant place, even on a hot day. It is a great location for large events.

Nice central plaza in Downtown Tucson, often the location of great community events like Tucson Meet Yourself, Tucson Folk Festival, next to County buildings, City Hall, the historic Pima County Courthouse, the Tucson Museum of Art, Main Library, the Presidio, El Charro. It has a statue to the Mormon Battalion that is not very appropriate so it only gets 4 stars!

It has so much potential to be a great place to visit. Lots of sculptures and memorials, bridges and stairs, grass and seats. But it needs some repair and some working water fountains.
