We just discovered this park. With our 18 month old son, we are always looking for close safe parks to take him to. Udall updated their play ground and our son even at his age finds many activities to do. Inside the rec center there is even more to discover. From the pool to the work out facility. Udall rec offers classes for all ages but we were specially interested in the classes for our son. There are art, dance, robot, swimming, crafts and many more classes offered. All very reasonable and I discovered they offer a low income discount on many things. This makes it accessible for all. The Halloween party held the day before Halloween at the playground was a blast. I look forward to having our son enjoying udall for many years. As he grows so do the opportunity for him to get even more involved.
The best spacious park in Tucson. A park where all ages can relax, walk, jog, play & breathe fresh air. Tennis courts, play field, exclusive kids play area, for pets, recreation club with swimming pool and other facilities. Free entry. Presently the club area is reserved for Covid test @ free of cost with time slot appointment and professionally handled, easy to follow directions. Can get results in 24 hours through mail links. Cheers to all the health workers - officials.
I went there to be tested for covid-19. Very clean and planned with great care and safety. Arrows on the floor to guide you through the entire process. Great friendly people to let the process move without a hitch.
This is an amazing park with open fields, walking/jogging paths, and great views. We spent our summer hanging out here when the rest of the city shut down during the coronavirus pandemic. Its well lit, and theres plenty of space to social distance, even when crowded.
Weve been here twice now for our Covid-19 testing. Paradigm laboratories is excellent provider for you confidential, safe & professional Healthcare needs! Our family definitely recommends them....
This is a great park very big one on the east side of town. The softball fields are perfect and so are the soccer fields. My Ex needed a covid test to return to work. They have free testing with appointment there in the morris udall building. It took about a hour from start to finish i waited in the car thank god they have covered parking. She was negative.
I loved the park. It was convenient and clean. We loved the variety of activities.
Had a covid test via Pima County Health Department. Excellent job. Fast, efficient and safe. Well done.
Was at the bus stop...was great..? You know...just everything you could ask of early morning bus stop layover. Smoking drivers huddled off in background. Parade of middled aged women in little troops going by in animated discussion with their compadres. Dog walkers. Surprising lack of visible homeless. Little graffiti. Huge traffic at the Tanque Verde intersection. Decently far east side and north so if you need a copy...you wont find one. Sheriffs right down the road though so lot of drive by Sherrifing (yes. Made that up, youre welcome. A polite person says thank you.)
All the clubs are beautiful and I wish Arizona would open back up, but we have to deal with that Coronavirus.
Its a nice place to walk, everyone is considerate about sharing the walking paths, mostly. There are some tennis courts, some jungle gym stuff for kids, theres a dog playground, I like watching them race around. Looks kinda dull and brown, like most places in Tucson, but in the summer actually a little green grass! Though I have to drive to get here, I feel safer than using the river park, so many spending bikes. Anyway get off your couch and come to Udall for some exercise and fresh air!
Wonderful dog park! And the owners are friendly, too!
This has turned out to be a favorite park for me to walk my dogs during my visit to Tucson. Its very nicely kept, has a great walking path that one can make as long or short as wanted. Easy to find, easy to park, nice restroom facilities, lots of shady benches and picnic areas. We love it!
Covid testing was surprisingly organized.
It has everything you want to do at a park. Baseball, volleyball, soccer fields, places to bbq. It even has a dog run, horse shoes, and a playground for the kids. Its a place to meet someone. Plenty of waterfountains. Extremely clean park with no riff raff. Ive enjoyed every trip here its definitely one of my favorites.
People are friendly here. My dog gets to release his energy and socialize with other dogs. (His siblings are cats) He loves it! its a nice area to hang out while you fur baby has fun.
Multiple bathrooms. Fields have soccer nets with new grass. In Spring 19, they sodded the 18 yard and penalty boxes and aerated the rest of the field; unfortunately, the actual goalie spots are already worn heavily. I dont pay attention to the baseball diamond(s?), but players seem to be having fun. Overall, some of the best soccer fields in town.
Ive lived in town for a total of almost 15 years, and never knew about the Arizona Winds playing free concerts at the Laszlo Veres Ampitheater at Udall several times per year. Will definitely look up their schedule and plan for it in the future. It was a great concert and brought back a lot of memories.
Great place to Power walk.
Great place racquetball, walking, ride bikes from the Sabina Canyon Road side down into Pantano Wash loop and so much more. Good people work there! Always friendly.
Udall park is such an awesome and beautiful place its so tranquil and its big. It has stuff for all ages. The indoor basketball courts are good, and the rec center is just great. The pools are pretty awesome as well its a great place to come and hang out or get your workout on by running laps or hitting the workout stations I always have a blast.
Beautiful park.. I dont understand why there were no bleachers for us to watch the bball game inside the rec center....I mean the place is HUGE after all!! Other than that, its well maintained and just gorgeous!!
Even better now that they added that second age-based playground. Really fun and interactive for the kids. Even have handicap swings. Its great
Loving our Basketball camp with Coach Karin Matel! This is our third year doing this awesome camp with her and we are sad to say next year will be our last year because of the age cap of 12. Every kid can benefit from her excellent coaching and theyll have fun while learning and perfecting the fundamentals of basketball! Thank you so much for sharing your time and skills with all of these kids ️
There is playground, soccer fields, baseball, horse shoe and some other game I dont know of. Rec center and dog park. Rec center looks nice but only have been in through side for water. They do summer classes there and there is a pool as well. Huge ant problem and thats why Im not doing 5 stars. Can sit anywhere around kid park without wants intruding.
Beautiful building and area.
Great place for multiple outdoor activities and easy access to The Loop biking/running/walking trail
We sign our little girl up for ballet every quarter and she loves it. We play afterwards on the playground. Our Saturdays are always awesome!!!
It was a great time, went to a friends 6 year old daughters birthday party. Plenty of room for at least 9 parties at once.
Beautiful park. Very big. Nice bathrooms
I LOVE this park. The building is an awesome indoor rec. center with basketball courts, racquetball courts, a waling track, classrooms, a lounge area and much much more. There are tons of soccer fields, baseball fields and a couple of softball fields. The pool is great and fun. Oh and there is an outdoor stage area. Tons of things to do, love love love this park.
Should call it the Useless Center since it is not open. Im driving over 300 miles a week to play basketball. I guess the climate emergency isnt really all that important to the city.
If you like sports, I suppose this is awesome. I thought the park would be pretty and well-kept. It is not and the park isnt that great for kids. There is no path to take a walk which is what I want in a park. JMO
Safe and quiet park. Fun playground for ages 1 to probably 7. NOT COVERED SO GETS HOT QUICKLY THOUGH.
I like the concerts on Saturday nights in the Spring and the Fall by Arizona Symphonic Winds! Great music, friendly crowd, and Tucsons view of the sky! How can you beat that?
Good park, but the outside is a bit under utilized and soccer/ball field heavy. Lots more space for a little more variety. Nice dog park and community center looks great from the outside. Covered parking and easy access.
Making plans to hang out with friends or family and hitting grounders or paying catch is fun
Real nice big park. Clean and lit up
Great east side park with lots to do and its across the street from Frost.
This is a really nice place. Very well kept. The staff is great. I just cant get over how wonderful the place is .
Both of my children attend TUSDs KidCo program at Udall park. We are blessed to have such a nice clean an accessible Park in East Tucson. The staff are professional and friendly and ensure the safety of the children at all times, where to go Tucson.
I dont its better and much nicer that most its a good place to watch a soccer or baseball game well lighted
The Carol West Senior Center is Fantastic! Joe, a Udall Supervisor is the BEST!!! He always makes sure that everything is set up perfectly for the groups that have activities each week. Joe will help you in every way he is able to like getting a certain style of chair instead of another type because one type hurts your back, etc. There are activities all week long here and the membership fee for people living in the city of Tucson is only $25 per year which includes 2 days a week use of the WHOLE Entire facility (walking track inside, weight machines after an orientation class, indoor gym, basketball courts, swimming pool, pool tables, etc),not just the Carol West Senior Center Activities. There are senior exercise classes (extra fee for those as they are taught/sponsored by Pima Council on Aging), Canasta (Hand, Knee & Foot as well as Brazilian Canasta called Samba - WE will teach anyone how to play either game), Mexican Train Dominoes, Bridge, Shanghai, Chair Volleyball, Wii Bowling, Billiards, and many more activities that I have not attended yet or that I do not know about like movies every month, holiday luncheons/parties, field trips, crafts, etc. Just a great place for people to go and spend time doing enjoyable things.
A great park honestly, a lot to do wether you play sports or just sit and enjoy the weather. A pretty good romantic place if you ask me.
I love the updated playground and the covered parking is nice as well! I hadnt been there in quite some time despite how close it is to my house. Decided to give it a shot and was pleasantly surprised and my kids enjoyed themselves as well.
Best inTucson. I get to watch the kids play and the ribbing track is 1/2 mile! Not so many loops for those of us who crack ten miles or more.
Its is OK just like any park
My kids have soccer practice there every week! Very nice place to go to the family!
Such a great park! Wide spaces, well kept grounds, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields. An activity center, an amphitheater, and a pool. So many amentities!!!
The park is great place to run and do exercises on the equipment. The great outdoors.
It has a clear path you can use to go in many directions. Very family friendly, and it has a nice size dog park.
This place is great. They have a place for kids to play and also places for adults to play as well. Theres lots of space for running around and getting all that energy out. Highly recommend if you wanna go someplace thats fun abd free!
Good place to walk your dog from taking jog
Played pickleball with chalk lines already there. Would be nice to have painted pickleball court.
Great park. A great transfer point for routes 5, 8, 9 and 37
Holy soccer moms Batman! I mean theres a bunch of Mormon mothers with their sports playing children that frequent this park. Fun, friendly environment. Lots for the kids to do, open space, bike and walking trails. Great park
Love this huge park. Very scenic and clean. Awesome rec center.
Great park!
This is one of the best public parks in Tucson. There are long, easy walking loops, paved. Near the intersection of Tanque Verde Road and Sabino Canyon Road, this park is in a great location, south of the Catalina Foothills and provides views of the gorgeous Catalina Mountains. Some of the amenities include public restrooms, fountains, ample parking space, baseball/softball fields with bleachers, benches, tables and a concession stand which operates during little league games and other organized events. For those who park their vehicles at this park, the City of Tucson, recently installed solar parking structures, which provide shade for your vehicle and supplement electricity at the park.
Nice park were there for the annual IBEW picnic every year
Excellent, clean, open park with nice loop for dog and people walking.
Great place. Indoor and outdoor walk run tracks, weight machines, stationary bikes, rower, and lots more for a very reasonable fee. Best kept secret in Tucson.
All around great Park. Pool has always been clean workout area has always been clean. Dog park always has friendly people tennis courts are always open and well-lit just a fun place to bring the family or if you just want to relax just bring yourself
My review is for the walking path only. By Pima County Park standards it’s passable but if you are looking for a flat well maintainedPark leave this one off your list.
A great place to take the kiddos for multiple different activities and outdoor fun!
I have a pass to their indoor walking track for use during the summer. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Lots of activities avail but I dont use them so cant comment on those.
The dog park is a great place for socializing your dog. All the dogs that go,are very friendly and so are the owners. Very clean and well kept.
Wonderful park with lots of activities. The Spring and Fall outdoor concerts are terrific!!!
Beautiful large dog park to let your dog off leash. Several fields, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. Shaded areas for sitting and having a picnic.
Fun place for adults to play pickleball or racquetball!
Very good places work out, play bingo, hard core exercises, chair Volleyball, canasta, art and craft, go swimming too
Great running trail with easy access to order trails
At this park 4 days out of the week and I get to do my Pokemon...love it...lol
Wonderful staff in the Senior Center. Great people to meet and many activities. Havent been to the other buildings as yet.
Really nice park to come with the kids or walk the dogs. It has a lot of space, soccer fields look nice and well maintained. Playground is great both my kids love it definitely reccomend this park.
A perfect place for the whole family or friends to enjoy. You can even reserve Ramadas for birthdays or special events. Plus not to mention what the recreation center has to offer the community. There is even an upgraded playground for the little ones in your life to have a fulfilled experience, just get ready to take a of pictures.
Nice fields.... well taken care of
Nice relaxing place to take the kids and have a picnic or just play.
Very open spacious green. Close transit line
This is an amazing park,it has everything you need the people are amazing definitely a go destination if your looking to enjoy your time.
I take my dog to the park weekly for a run he loves it. Just went to a baby showing and was able to see more of the park then I usaully do. Like that it has more activity parts then Im used.
This place is amazing. ALL SENIORS should take the time for a visit to both sections of the large facility. Ask a lot of questions at either service desk and learn about everything. You will be glad you stopped in.
Gracious staff. Spotless environment. Fun people.. So much to do.
My babies love it!!! Well lit and great area for dogs to play and run..very well kept!!! I prefer this park over Reid dog park.
I went oTo an amazing baby shower in the rec hall
There often for kids soccer. Been going to this park since I was a kid playing baseball. Solid park. As a tennis player, great place for early morning play with friends.
Nice park went to a kids birthday party
I like this park, the Lazlo Veres outside amphitheatre is great, there is green grass, plenty of audience space and electric outlets for audio equipment. I am a dancer and have been using Lazlos amphitheatre for choreography practice on many occasions. They have solar panel parking, the recreation center is nice and clean, access to an indoor track which is great when temperatures are in the upper 90s here in Tucson, a variety of arts and craft class options, pool, racquetball courts, pool tables, volleyball courts. The cardio/weight area could be improved they have limited circuit options and worn out equipment which is the only area that prevented me from buying the annual membership. Otherwise reasonable day/annual fees, polite staff and lockers.
Great playground equipment for preschool and up. Really nice shade trees in the morning.
There are 5 full size soccer fields with great natural grass. Good lighting, restrooms, and parking on both the north and south sides of the field. Not much room for warming up a team during a tournament is the only complaint I have.
Really nice park and a big one at that! Theres a lot of different recreational options like baseball/softball, volleyball and playgrounds.
Great place.comunity pool. Green areas. Nice grass and baseball fields .
