I got the yearly membership for a family of 4. We come early mornings when there are not many people here. So, thats nice. However, even with a total of 7 people in the pool (6 were with me), we were not allowed to bring our tiny water gun in the pool. Basically, you are only allowed to bring yourself, your swim suit and goggles (for now - sure to be banned soon). At Troy Aquatics, if youre having fun, youre doing something wrong. Thieves of joy and fun. I will not get a membership here again until they lift the ban on fun!
We love being season pass holders they allow Royal Oak residents to join for an up charge. There is ALWAYS 3 DEDICATED LAP swimming lanes. They also have kickboards for use too. There is 2 types of water slides, one is for use with an inner tube as well as regular water slide.2 sand volleyball courts. Little kiddies slide splash pool with at least 4+ attentive lifeguards as well as it being secured with 2 locked gates.Plenty of lounge chairs too
I love this place. A perfect pool and playground for young children. They have a toddler pool with a waterfall and sprinklers, 2 different size water slides, a slightly bigger pool with a shallow beach like entry that gradually depends to 6 feet, a sand based playground and a small concession stand. The staff has always been respectful and friendly. A solid 5 stars.
Aside from being a bit pricey to come in for the day, this place is great. So kid friendly with the water slides, toddler area, and even the big pool being set up like a wave pool makes it easy for alll ages to enjoy (and parents to take a seat and relax in the water). They provide lounge chairs and the snack bar prices are not jacked up just because. Had to tear the kids away after five hours, I know well be back.
This place is AMAZING!!!! The kids loved it! And if you bring them after work(5pm) you only pay like $5-6 dollars for them to swim their hearts out until closing time. They stay open later than most pools, which means you don’t have been out during high peak hours in the sun. They have a water slide, playground with sand, and food area in addition to their beautiful pool. We had a blast!
The Troy aquatics center is a really fun place to go. The park is well kept. The slides you can go down in a tube or without one, whichever you prefer. The lifeguards are very nice and professional. The concession stand has a large menu and their cookies are really good. Overall a great place to swim and relax.
Fair pricing, cant take food in, but covered picnic area out front. No problem taking your own food. Can come and go as you please once you pay. Recommended.
Call before going it has been closed last few times I have attempted to go.ooks like fun though will change once visited. Edited: Visited and received a tour very nice facilities. We cannot wait to go back. Kids will love it.
Fun, Fun for the summer months! The only thing I didnt appreciate was the closure of the kiddie area a half an hour before park closes.
HAD GREAT TIME THERE LAST SUMMER WITH MY DAUGHTER & MY GRANDSON.....
Lifeguards r great. They help me, they saved my little boy last week. I love it here
They dont allow outside food in. Theyre way under staffed at the cafe. I stood in line for 30mins... only to learn that they were out of all the healthy food options. This is not acceptable. Someone needs to manage it better. Other than that, the pool is great. Eat before you go.
Have been going here since I was a kid - absolutely loved the water slide and being able to have fun in the sand pits! Keep this place alive!
The best outdoor water park. Slides play area my family had a blast
Paid $370 for a out of resident pass, a huge increase from last year. Their horrible teenage staff didn’t want to work so they shut down the toddler section even though only small children are present. My son is big enough to ride the slide but they won’t allow him to ride with life jacket or to be caught by parent though he or we aren’t comfortable. Funny today is also recognized as “mother’s day” at the TfaC but it’s bull because no mom would have picked this.
Super fun day for our family. Our 13 month old loved the little kid section!
I tried to book a birthday party here and was in communication with Greg. I was in communication with him for about a week prior... Friday he said he had about 10 different time slots and dates available and when I sent in my form to book the date the following Monday he claimed they were now fully booked. I am annoyed because he didn’t express urgency that other people were interested in the dates and I wasted a lot of time on nothing. Other than that he was nice.
Great time with friends and family. I dont reside in Troy but will still pay $15 a head to get in. Harveys Huts has food if you are starving but really not worth it.
Very nice place to spend time with family and friends but entrance fee was expensive and also the food and drinks.
Nice pool. Good time for a family outing.
Absolutely love it here! Highly recommend this place
Good place for children. The beach volleyball court was an extra.
Came with my family at 4:30 on Monday. To the under five area. Had a nice time but need to say the bathrooms were horrible. Enough to stop me from coming back . I did call and tell young lady about it just now. We paid$60 For dirty bathroom s and no toilet Paper.
Great little park! Wonderful fenced area for the littles (plus tiny slide), zero entry pool for everyone and two slides for the big kids to choose from! Very clean, extremely affordable concessions, friendly staff. Entry fee is a little high, but even on a crowded day you dont feel rushed or battle lines.
Place is clean and family-friendly. There is a separate shallow play area for children under 10 which is nice for the toddlers. The updates to the snack bar contain healthy options now like veggies and ranch. I wish there were more shaded areas in that area as it can get pretty crowded. Call ahead to see if the pools are at capacity!
My wife and I wanted to swim looked around at some parks near our home decided this seemed like a good place. So we packed up drove there waiting inline paid to go in. We went into the lockers and by the time we made it out to the pool it started raining and thundering before we could get in to cool off. Next thing you know they are telling everyone to get out of the pool. We werent even there 15 minutes. We were told by the person at the front to wait till the storm passed to go back in. Well we did not feel that we had time for that and we politely asked for our money back seems how we did not get to swim and was denied by staff because of rain. They would not give us our money back in fact argued with us and many other customers who was in the same situation. I never did get a refund or even a free pass for another day. Instead I spent 30 dollars for me and my wife to enter this pool to never get to swim because we are not residents to Troy we live in Sterling Heights. I will never go back to this place again and will never recommended it to any one I know poor customer service!!!
Had my grandsons first birthday here. The kids really enjoyed themselves. We will definitely come back.
Fun place to take your family for the day
Terrible long line to get in need to have a better system or faster people
Today was my first visit to Troy Aquatic Center and I was very disappointed. I arrived at 4:30 pm and the pool and surrounding area were overcrowded. The girl who was selling tickets was acting in a rude, disrespectful and arrogant manner not listening to what was I saying or asking. She told me, however, that the ticket will be half price after 5 pm. I got home around 5:00 pm and the website showed that the pool was closed. I wonder what was I going to pay half price for when the pool was closing at 5:00 pm. I checked the prices on the Troy Aquatics Family center online in the last few days and they were different. Namely a daily pass for a non-resident was 10 dollars not 15. That was changed when I checked after I came back from there. I hope it was not changed after I brought that to their attention. In my opinion, 15 dollars is too high price for what the place offers.
Nice place to enjoy your summer
A bit pricey but clean and fun
Had a ton of fun here, just wish we would have gone more this past summer, the splash pad is fun for all ages and the even have a fast and slow water slide for older kids. I especially like that there isnt a waiting pool at the end of the slide so non swimmers dont have to worry about drowning.
Pretty nice facility. Seems over priced for the facilities.
We bought a season pass for this summer. We used it 1 day and had fun then the next day we got ready and went and were turned away because theyre full. I think its unfair that they get our money for the season and then sell day passes to make more money and then we get turned away. If Id know this ahead of time I wouldnt have wasted the money. My kids were so excited to go today and so crushed when we were turned away. We belonged to the YMCA for years in Ohio and this never happened. Very sad. Plus the workers couldnt have cared less.
To start off let me just say that the guy that I dealt with today was above and beyond what I expected. Not only was he early to get to my job, he charged me less than what he quoted me, and on top of that the job he did came out much better than I originally imagined. He took my ideas and mixed them with his own and designed a beautiful pond in my yard. He was able to get all the fish I was looking for as well. This guy has my future business for all my pond maintenance needs. -Jesse Forshey
Worse place I been with my kids. People pushing us not staying in line. Very crowded and people going with clothes in the water. All the managers talking with them and no one listened to them still swimming with clothes.Never going back very disappointed. That place needs rules not good place for kids especially .
Cute. Overpriced. Lame cpuntry music playing. Grossed pointe has better options. The music is terrible and loud and we couldnt bring in our picnic lunch for the family, had to spend more money to eat and stay hydrated. Better options, but nice options, not too busy.
Nice shallow pool for the small kids.
This place is good for young kids. And there is some shade for adults. The water slides are tame compared to the ones at the Oakland County water parks. This place does not have a wave pool.
Favorite place in summer, especially the out door pool with the great life guards!! Only one thing it bothers us last time we went, there was too many bees where we eat, out side area.
We just bought annual passes and the place was too full. We had to come back an hour and a half later, wait in line for others to fill out their memberships just to scan into the aquatic center. My children even voiced the facilitys shortcomings after one visit. The water was nice and cool though
I went to this place with my cousin and my brother and the water park is nice but the life guards are so mean my brother went down this slide and the tube was not filled up all the way so the tube comes flying off and my brother fell off the tube and when he came back up the life guard said that he did it on purpose what the heck probably never coming back here
Nice place nice staff
Great place for families!
Kids love this place! The pools are great, most if the pools have a zero entry area for the pool so you can just walk in. There is also a great play set!
No lazy rivers or diving boards here, so reviewers are talking about somewhere else. Nice calming pool with lots off extras. Eagle eyed life guard is great when your kids are little.
Big pool area and they rent out a canvas covered area for parties. Great place for our grandsons first birthday party.
Excellent pools and excellent staff. Dont like that the price of swim lessons goes up while the amount of time learning goes down.
Pretty crowded and lacking enough seating. There was so much space but so few chairs. I paid $15 to get in and had to sit in the grass.
The waterpark it self is great. However, the food court area is not. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken for $6, 6 large families got there food before I got my food. The salad wasnt that good. I payed extra for the chicken, which was warm and tasted disgusting.
Its not the best water park in Michigan that Ive been to. Only 3 areas to be: A community pool, a decent water slide and a sand based playground for the kids. The food there is okay but there is only 2 windows for service and one of them is on the outside of the park. And on top of that the 1 window they do have on the inside is really slow at taking your order.
Been going there for years. My son loves the place.
My grandchildren loves to enjoy the summer hot days here
Water is kinda shallow
I will be working here today
Got a pass here, the water is very dirty, some of the workers here are rude
3 aware 4s
Great time with the family
Kids love it.
Fun time for everyone
This place can sure get crowed!
Nice public pool has two water slides very crowded though still a really good time cheap food prices
Good size water park, open for dogs on the last weekend of the summer!
Great place to have fun, for all ages
My daughter loves playing in the zero-entry pool and the kids area, which has a full complement of fountains, waterfalls, showers, etc.
Good food nicee water slide
We loved playing in the water, very family friendly!
Not very busy on this Summer day because it didnt even hit 80 and mostly cloudy. A little pricey for non residents.
Literally never open it’s kind of comical
Great summer with our 22month old. Very clean
The price have to go lower
Good place to hangout with friends!
Nice place to take the family for some fun.
Great value for the money and the kids always love it.
Fun place for kids. Swimming lessons.
Decently maintained pool with nice amenities.
Great!
Great place
Clean and all ages fun.
I like visiting the entire Troy Civic area including the library and athletic center
Great place to cool the kids off.
It was my first time going there as a Troy residents it was Jun/12/17 around 1:00pm with my wife and friends and when we got there the pool was closed, and than I called the office they said the pool opens at 3pm because everyone leave school at 3pm and I was really disappointed about that like what if I have no kids and its like sunny 95° outside, had to leave and went to a different pool
Its close by and clean
Great time with the kids.
Allowed a great time with family and friends
