Great place to walk and run . With following the half mile to the nature center road to wetlands trail to live oak back towards the actual nature center trail, I was able to get a nice walk of a little over 3 miles. The paths are currently leaf covered and the density of the trees on the trails is perfect for making you really feel entrenched. So far, Ive seen bunnies, birds, lizards, and have heard plenty of rustling so, more than likely, snakes. They do have signs letting you know that, so yes, snakes are present and to be careful. The history of the Kleb preserve is accessible through the actual center via regular hours. We are so lucky to have this preserve available!!

We love this little nature preserve. The trails are beautiful, with tons of gorgeous flora and fauna. We were delighted last time we visited to discover a scavenger hunt of sorts for kids to learn about and identify local wildlife. Every that works there is always so kind and informative. We will continue to visit Kleb Woods for years to come, Im sure.

Please read the website before visiting as no dogs are allowed. Unfortunately I did not check this in advance and were disappointed when we arrived to find out no dogs allowed. I suggest removing the pictures in Googles reviews that show dogs visiting the park which is misleading.

Several trail options and few people make this a nice place to walk and take in nature weekly. Looks natural and avoids the overly manicured unnatural look some other parks have. Has some historical buildings and an office too.

I have been going to Kleb Woods Nature Center for 6 years. I always enjoy my time at the nature center. It is a place for me to take a pause from all the life obligations and people interaction, and enjoy the quietness, fresh air and nature. I have taken my 2 year old and 4 year old here all the time. Today, my 4 year old is sick. The weather was very nice so instead of getting her stuck at home with me, we took a 15 min drive to the nature center. We walked the big loop, visited the oak trees, the wetland, and the wind mill. It only took us 2 hours (we walked slow and stopped a lot along the hike for learning tree names). My 4 year old acted like she was not having a fever anymore. I would recommend everyone to visit this place. Please make sure to bring bug spray especially March - Nov.

Probably one of the best kept secret of the old Houston wetland living and condition thanks to an unique case. See the Klebs family house front and backview here. It is awesome. This is a good place if you want to break away from the city life and come to enjoy for a few hours or the whole day. Should walk the trail but be sure to bring mosquitoes spray as this is wetland so plenty of them in the area. The ponds however are all dried up and would be awesome if that can be refilled. So only 4 stars because the birds are no longer here (ponds are gone and high noise of surrounding area). So for bird watchers, sorry, it is not as good as it used to be... thanks mostly to the rapid development of Houston suburbs.

Awesome place for a hike, bird spotting, garden lesson or at the very least a taxonomic experience for your kids. The staff in the main house are friendly and outgoing as well as informative and interactive, they were good engaging my toddler boys and getting them interested, but there was plenty to do and see without help anyways! The bathrooms are big and nice and the benches and resting places throughout the preserve are plentiful and spacious. There are many spectacular views of nature grand and minuscule to observe and track, so keep your eyes peeled at every level for life. The trails were short enough to walk for a 2 and a 4 year old, but long enough to squeeze an hour out it all and exhaust them. I particularly love the historical agricultural housing layout and accompanying equipment on display, very interesting! I like the location too because you mostly stay out of traffic compared to a similar park, the arboretum at memorial park. Will return here for sure!
