We visited Thomasville, Ga. for the first time. My Dad was born in Thomasville and it has always been my desire to go to his hometown. We went there with no expectations except excitement and anticipation. We discovered this Hidden Gem and we were excited that they opened for us. The history that is compiled here is too numerous to mention. There are 4 galleries and you could literally spend all day in each one.We received a personal tour from the curator, Jack Hadley and he is a living encyclopedia of Black history. The collection covers not only the history of Black people from Thomasville but from across this great nation.Thank you Mr. Hadley you made our trip a memorable one
Good morning as we move forward to celebrate Veterans Day on Monday the jack Hadley black history museum should be on your list of an amazing place to experience and to celebrate our black veterans and to remember those past and those serving our country today. I’ve been here several times because there so much to see. Thank you Mr. Hadley for giving us a place to remember who we are and to share in our black experience.
Jack Hadley Black History Museum is a rare gem. Filled with local and national history exhibits, it is an amazing way to spend an afternoon. The staff was knowledgeable and genuinely seemed excited to guide us on our tour.
Its great that they have a place like this for the younger generation to know about their history. I really enjoyed it
An excellent exhibition of many aspects of Black history. We took our time and thoroughly enjoyed and learned. Thank you.
Wow! So many thanks to Jack, JaMarcus and Annie for showing me the museum - Jack especially as he spent nearly 3 hours with me and regaled me with the behind the scenes stories. This is really a remarkable place and a must see if you are in S-GA or N-FL
The Jack Hadley Black History Museum is amazing! So much information to digest . This museum is worth traveling to even if you’re not from the area.

I really enjoyed him speaking to the children about the slavery days and his mom and dad days
It was interesting to be able to walk around and see so many pieces of local as well as national history. As an added bonus I got to talk to Mr Hadley. He has led a very interesting life, and should probably have a book or two written about himself.
This place was loaded with historical information.....a most see. Plan at least an hour. Then, have lunch or dinner at Sweet and Sassy! Make it a day! Awesome! Enjoy!

This place was so amazing. It was my first time visiting the museum. My sons 3rd grade class took a trip to the museum. It was very informative with a lot of information and artifacts. I absolutely would recommend this place to everyone that visits Thomasville Georgia.
We found the museum by Googling and noted the review ratings. We concur with the excellent rating. What an awesome experience, especially meeting Mr. Hadley, who shared his history and his love of preserving and sharing black history. Being retired, northern, white educators, we learned from and appreciated this museum.
Wonderful man. Great customer service
Awesome Vision For Celebrating African-American History Basics And Also Recognizing Our Various Local African-American Contributions To The World Abroad !
You should absolutely visit this museum, especially if you are a local. Mr. Hadley has amassed an impressive collection of history to share. The people working there were all very nice.
Tons of Black History as well as family history. Worth visiting, you never know what you may find out about your lineage.
My husband and I stopped in Thomasville to visit the shops. We never made it because we saw signs for the Black History Museum. Unfortunately, we arrived about 4:00 and they closed at 5:00. We went in and were greeted by a young man, who worked for Mr Hadley. We saw a brief film, and then Mr Hadley explained how the museum was organized. We knew we needed more time to see everything, so I chose Plantation Life, The First Responders Wall and The Special Achievers Wall. My husband chose The Military Section. This museum focuses on accomplishmemts and promotes success. We enjoyed every bit of the museum and Mr. Hadleys commentary. To get the most of your visit, I suggest asking questions. As a side note, I love the idea of The Achievement Wall and would like to borrow the idea for my Church.
