Great quiet spot with beautiful views on the Flint River. They offer a few camping spots and cabins up by the trading post with great views of the river. Or you can just hit the river for a day trip. You can float the short stretch of river and walk back and float again as much as you like. We enjoy setting up a canopy on the bank and letting the kids play in the water.

Superb county park located along the Flint River. Spectacular overlook of the Flint River valley at the parks entrance along with a trading post. The park has cabins and a campground. A day use area next to the river provides swimming, picnicking, playground and boat ramp. Scenic hiking trails connect all the facilities and natural features. The river provides paddling and floating opportunities.

This place has so much to offer! First, the Flint River is amazing for its wildlife, geography, and recreational potential. Kayaking and canoeing this River have been an amazing part of my life for over 40 years. The Sprewell bluff park is maintained by the county ever since Ga State Parks stuck them with it... (Sad theyd do that) But the county has done AMAZING work with this park, and it only gets better with every visit. Awesome camp cabins, tent and trailer spaces, bathhouse. All the trails are wonderful, the historical ruins, the antique cars, youll have to go find all these treasures for yourself. Highly recommended!

A beautiful place. $5 parking. The water was clean and warm. We saw lots of kayakers and canoes. Porta potty on site. Covered picnic tables and grills. A playground. Gravel parking so probably not wheelchair friendly.

Small park but it was awesome. Facilities were clean and nice. We have small kids so the only option to get from the camping sites to the river is driving. There are also lots of fun hiking trails and a great playground.

It was a great hike for the kids (2, 4, 6, 9). It was about 2.2 miles (the trail we took) and started steep but leveled out nicely for everyone to have a great hike. Water was too high for swimming (due the hurricane) but it was still great.

Beautiful place. I came here twice: one time to have a barbecue with a lot of friends, the other time to walk along the Long Leaf Pine loop (1.5 miles) with my fiancee. Each time it was a very good time into the nature, so I recommend it strongly ;)

Great place for relaxing, fishing, picnic or putting in to do a river float. They are keeping it really clean. The staff they have now is wonderful, very helpful and very friendly. Barbra was sweet and welcomed me and my daughter. I definitely recommend a visit and stop in the Trading Post check it out and say hi.

We went to go see the stars tonight at the Sprewell Bluff and it was so amazing. You could see everything, and there were telescopes set up to look through and plenty of people that knew what they were talking about. My whole family loved it, and we always love going there during the summer.

Ive lived in Columbus, GA nearly my entire life and have never heard of this GREAT location! I took my family here, along with some other family members, and had a wonderful time swimming in the water and eating underneath the covered, reserved pavilion. On top of that, it was only $5.00 to get in.There was an option to do kayaking, canoeing and tubing, but I felt my kids were too young to do those safely.Again, great place to spend a summer afternoon!

The kids enjoy this park. They have a good playground by the river. The river, itself, is easily accessible and the water is clean. Plenty of hiking trails; just make sure you watch for snakes and bring bug repellant. Great views of the hills and river near the entrance. They also have some quaint cabins, perfect for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful section of the Flint River - good for kayaks and canoes if the rivers not too low. Camping at the private River Campground by the highway, with restrooms, trading center, boat rentals. Sprewell Bluff is a little further, follow the signs to an upper section of the rivers gorge to the actual state park, with a picnic grounds by the river. If you take a boat and put in there, you can float down to the private campgrounds below, just past the highway overpass, a nice short trip. Sometimes the river is too low to go all the way without portage.
