In comparison to the other parks Ive been to on either lake Lewisville or Lake Lavon, Stewart Creek is one of the better ones. Its not a huge park, but it is clean & maintained. I believe they have a caretaker that stays on site in an RV. Lots of covered picnic table areas, a beach, a pier, restrooms, and nice views. My family loves going here. $10 per car for non Colony residents.

This park is a nice side and has a lot of shore for swimming. They also have a lot of trees and covered areas which provides shade from the summer sun. They have picnic tables and charcoal grills too. It was maintained well too.The only downside is they had porta potties instead of real bathrooms. Im not the biggest fan of those and most of them didnt have a way to clean your hands afterwards.Overall it was a really nice park and a great place to celebrate the Fourth of July!

I always enjoy coming to this park. It is kept clean and neat, and there are nice covered picnic tables and fire pits for grilling and relaxing. The fishing is good in spring and we always enjoy seeing all the ducks. The bathrooms are better than could be expected at a park, and there is a nice play area for children. The city is working hard on making it a wonderful place to be with upgraded play equipment and adding RV hookups. There is a great field for soccer, baseball, football, etc. and a sand volleyball court.

The main park has an entrance fee so Im sure there are facilities and is clean. They also have parking for some kind of hiking trail just off to the side that is free but I doubt its as nice or has a view of the lake of the main park.I didnt stay to long as it seems to be catered to a certain class citizen. I dont have the complection for the protection.

Whats NOT to like?? Its a beautiful park at the lakes edge. Best over-water sunsets in DFW!!! We love that this is in our neighborhood!! For many years, we have purchased season passes, which include unlimited park access, and a 3 lane boat launch ramp with walk down pier to load passengers and designated boat trailer parking. Theres a swim beach with sand, huge playgrounds, bathroom facilities, overnight camping areas for both tents and a small number of RVs. Its a very pleasant walking space, with nature all around!!
