We continue to enjoy the many trails in the area and the Colony Shoreline Trail is one we liked a lot. We walked about 5 miles. Saw some birds near the Scout park area The trail was gravel and was not too crowded. We were able to see the lake for most of the trail. Someone else had posted on the dog poop on the path and this was true so do look down when you walk, which is a shame since the view is much more interesting to look at.

My daughter and I found this gem, this evening. Its beautiful, has a wide dirt path that appears to be well maintained, and helps you forget you are in a city, for a bit. They do suggest you carry a horn, as coyotes and bobcats may be in the area. We only saw a beautiful hawk. Because it was late in the evening when we stumbled across this nature trail, we didnt go too far, but definitely have plans to return! It would be GREAT for a family walk (easy for strollers) or a family bike ride!

Love the gravel walk path, feel it gives me a harder workout than a sidewalk path and the lake in the distance pretty to look at.

The scenery is nice, and the trail fairly well laid out, but nowhere does it state the trail is one way, lol. I ended up in another park 3 miles away from my car.

Except for the Warning at the trail entrance to beware of bobcats and coyotes, this is a great trail. I was alone (not recommended) but did not see anything more dangerous than a few morning doves. Looks to be a full 10k out and back. I only ventured half way. Will return with some running friends to explore the full trail.

Great playground right at the start of the shoreline trail. There are two play structures for different ages of kids, and a nice shaded pavilion to have snacks or a picnic.

Couldnt find a way to the water on the trail. Not sure if you have to keep going further but one would think there is a trail once you see the water.

My family and I went to go on a walk for a bit of fresh air. We went got pretty far on the trail. Along the trail and benches, trash cans, signs about the wildlife, short cuts, and an emergency area. The trail is a great place to bring kids to burn off some energy. You can rides bikes if you want to. My only complaint is that the surrounding area looks slightly dead.

A nice clean playground, and the beginning/end of Shoreline Trail. The trail is a great place to take your mountain bike on, and if you ride around Stewart Creek Park youll get almost 10 miles in.
