We always have a great time on our nature hike when we go to Miller Springs Park. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms and several beautiful trails to hike on! I recommend going there. Fun for the whole family including the dog!
One of the best parks around! We regularly come out even though it’s a 2 hour round trip for us. Worth it every time!
Great trails.. beautiful views and water for the pups to swim while on the trails to cool off
Beautiful site. Great hiking trails and beautiful environments. Would recommend anyone to go there. Even on hot days good shady trails just brink plenty of water.
Had a great walk with the hubby and our dog as we also saw the sunset it was amazing
10 out of 10 highly recommend beautiful scenery. Great hiking trails, a great work out and beautiful views to take in. Definitely a must see, nature is great be sure to leave before sundown when it closes
Great shady location and has three picnic tables by the creek to enjoy the scenery. Could do better with parking and better restroom accommodations, but they are both available.
Great Park we kayaked about 1.5 dawn the river and had a great time. You will have to keep an eye on the snakes but only a few were cottonmouths. Just leave them alone and theay will leave you alone.
Great park! The size can be deceiving from on top of the dam, the park is massive and diverse in trails and terrain. Always a blast to go hiking with family and friends.
Great for fishing if you get there early and get a spot
Always have a great time fishing here
Beautiful scenic Texas outdoors! Were visiting from Utah and love the scenery!
Could us individual maps or better markers on the trail.
Its a great place to hike and get your mind off of things at home or the office. However, it does need some maintenance and marking of the trails. One wrong turn and youll be lost as a goose in a hail storm.
Its a good place to hike if your looking to get away and relax. I always enjoy myself when I go. Very family friendly the trails are clean of debris.
This park needs to be cleaned and maintained badly! Trash was scattered everywhere, restrooms were so disgusting and smelled so bad I almost vomited just walking by them! We went there to fish with our boys but did not stay due to the nastiness of the park!
Fish arent biting today.. Lol
Nice easy hiking trail with small elevation change. Some old and very large trees.
Nice clean park
I love this park i have so many found memories at this park
Good for fishing, but be aware of lines left in the water. lost more than one lure/hook to other peoples mess they leave in the water.
Exploring, hiking, walking,swimming, fishing.
Nice hike. Need to start early and take plenty of water.
Not a park AT ALL. Just a fishing spot with murky water. Shallow murky water
Great place to fish. Great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Hiking trail on this side is nice but its overgrown a bit. Good if you dont mind ducking a bit.
This is 1 of my favorite parks in Temple Ive been coming here since I was a kid, you can obviously play at the park, feed the ducks, or go for a nice walk around the park. Always the place to come for the 4th of July.
My favorite place to hike
Prestine wilderness, it is an excellent place to visit
Great place to take a hike. Needs better trail markers
No fish.. But water was nice .. Ava enjoyed it also
The views are great. Nice place to hike and walk around. Many people fish here, including me and my friends. Its good fishing for me I go after carp and buffalo. They got plenty of bass here too. Great kayaking and picnicking with family and friends.
Great place to hike and get away from civilization!
Nice view. short area to hike around, easy access to fish. pretty cool to see when the damn is open
Awsome family fun
Great park for an adventure. Does have some rougher terrain so better for people that are stable on thier feet️ but if you choose not to wonder far thier is flat walking serfaces. I do see people fish in the water. Its not really swimming quality due to it being stagnant at times
Its a beautiful place, just wish the fishing was better or I was a better fisherman. LOL
Love the air
Beautiful park.
The hiking is great
Cute nature trail park. Perfect for running or a nature walk with kids.
Its got nice trails, varying points of interest, two entrances, and generally has a woodsie feel. Good for couples, kids, dogs. Seen some catching fish or canoeing too.
Nice walk
One of my favorite fishing locations
We lovvvveeeee this place
Looks like a decwnt little park with easy access. Seems to have people at it even during off times. Not the best park if you are trying to escape other people.
I mainly come here to fish I like to put my kayak in here it was a good day fishing
Beautiful view
Good place to take the kids to fish. A little over fished but a good place to learn. Decent parking, plenty area to spread out. Also a good place to put a canoe or kayak.
Lots of trails & beautiful scenery especially as spring nears
Its really so beautiful there and the sunsets are just truly perfect. I love it when we go here so far.
Loved it!! Lots of hiking trails
Beautiful day
Really nice park. I fish here often
Love this park. Great trails to walk on and the fishing here is so relaxing. Hardly ever busy and outside the times when the dams are draining it is a great spot to cast a line. Great spot to picnic or to take the kids to fish.
The park has many trails to explore although its not easy to follow the trail marks. We dont really mind that. We love to hike and this park is great to do so.
I like this park and the opportunity to hike here. Unfortunately, most of the trails are not marked and many have been washed away by storms. There are definitely hazards to be aware of when hiking here and its probably not ideal for very small children because of this.I still enjoy hiking here and just know to be cautious on every visit.
I grew up going here and i love every second of it, its beautiful and fun and a great family time place
Great family spot
Be cautious of poison ivy and snakes! And bring a bottle of water!
Hiked it for the first time in winter. Must be beautiful in late spring.
Great park and hiking trails in the shadow of the dam. .
Trail is broken. Very uneven terrain. Not well maintained.
I loved being with the one I loved here and its a beautiful place
Great for family hike or adults jogging. Ok for a bike ride but theres still a lot of trail maintenance to do. I appreciate it though!
Great fishing hole and kayak launch point in the Leon River.
Nice hiking trails. A little up and down but not terribly rough. Not good for a stroller though.
Loved this place
Its a great place for hiking, biking and just wanting to walk your dog. I always enjoy going there.
Nice lakeside if you own a RV, visitors without RVs have to view from a far distance. The park is very small and not good for running, alot of uneven gravel. Watch your ankles.
Good fishing spot for the family to go to.
Awesome place to take kids
Lovely place for walking...
Bestifull place.
My daughter and I went fishing. Unfortunately we were down from the spillway and water was running pretty fast so we didnt catch any fish. We still had a great time. Nice fishing area, has some picnic tables, paved parking and lots of big beautiful shady trees.
Love hiking here, but it often gets crowded and the stand-still pond with algae is worrisome while hiking with the dogs.
We should have went earlier. Its really hot..
Such a beautiful place, must go and enjoy.
I love this place. It gets crowded around Noon but it has pic I tables, grills, and plenty of shade. Good fishing spot.
My husband proposed to me at this place! We were sitting up on a hill, surrounded by yellow buttercup flowers (one of my favorite flowers) in May, 2010. It was a beautiful day! We love having picnics there by the water and walking on the trails.
Its okay. We were visiting from Raleigh, NC. killing time, seeing the sights.
Its a pretty little park. Also, its kinda cool to watch the water rushing from the dam!
