Looks like they are fixing huge sprinkler problems from prior ownership neglect... looks like they are focusing on fairways first then they might get to the rough? Noticed 17 fairway has almost complete coverage. Hole 7 too. These are two holes that used to be thin-- but recently (even with 100 plus temperatures the last two months) there is a lot more consistent coverage. Greens are running pure (all the same across whole green/course) but on a speed scale, slower. Again, I think (my best guess) they have to keep them moist because of the super hot last couple months. If a green is supposed to be green, they nailed it! As the temperatures cool, it is likely fairways will get more coverage. Bunkers are neglected right now because there are no rakes (COVID) -- but even so, those who play here often will notice more sand has been added to a select few/popular traps (for example, hole 11 green side bunkers). I would recommend moving your ball for a good lie in the bunker or taking it out all together. Tee boxes are about 70% depending on where you are playing. Even though the course is on the shorter side, try playing up one tee box than you normally would. You will enjoy the course a lot more. Plus, I feel like the gold tee boxes have the worst coverage. Collars around green are beginning to match up with the line of palm trees that surround the green. They used to be about 3ft wife, but now 20-30 ft! Speeds up play and allows for more up and downs. This is getting long-- but this course never gets old. Every hole is different than the next. Look for the palm trees if you cant see the green. They surround all 18 holes.
Greens are exceptional. Fun track played blues not long, several blind shots, played in 3.5hr,some dry spots but welcome to summer 2020 and reduced Covid Crews. Great value and worth the drive for us. PS was 108 today. Enjoy.
Tees and greens were in good shape, but the fairways were a bit thin.
Me and my partner got there his day wasnt going well and forgot his mask and was told next time to have it wich was fine. As i moved up to pay the maskhole took his anger out on me even though i had a mask, best part about the whole thing the maskhole wasnt wearing a mask. Other than that golf was good.
Challenging course. Fun to play. Great staff. Thanks for a great day!
Fairways and tee boxes were rough but greens were good, slow but good
Fun course, friendly service and really good rates.
Nice view nice course
Golf course was in ok condition. Bunkers sucked.
This course IS NOT worth $60!!!! Not even close!! Before the virus quarantine was in the mid 30s why would now be in the 60s??? PRICE gouging-greed!! Redhawk or any other golf course in the area is better than this one and cheaper!
Great fun little course. The guys at the pro shop were great and very helpful to some out of towners. The course was in good shape. The rental clubs were not the best, but we were very appreciative of them having enough available.
This is a great, challenging layout, around the greens especially.Lately, theyve been really working hard to improve the quality of the course and its beginning to show. The greens are always in great shape. You can tell a lot of work is being done on the irrigation system; fewer wet and dry spots. The greens are soft and moderately fast, fairways are getting greener, better mowing, new cups and flagsticks. They still need to fluff the bunkers though; theyre pretty hard caked. I usually pull my ball out and back if I hit the trap, just to spare my clubs.
Fairways dry and dead spots. Greens great full of breaks.
Why is the grass dead? Water it.
Nice Golf Course But Play was too much slow......it took 6hrs today. marshal should take care of that.
Fun and challenging layout, the greens were good for the most part, fairways and ruff could definitely use some attention. If I get a deal like I did today I will definitely be back, But at full pop Id choose a different course. See for yourself though its worth a play if you havent been. Enjoy!
I called and the person at Club house is very Rude! The course is great but not friendly people.
Great service, especially from Ashma in the lounge.
Beautiful course, friendly team
Been going here 3yrs overall its a Great place to chill and relax
Gotta alot of work to do on the greens . Some places are bogged down by water and others dry like the desert. Sand traps arent really traps more like hard clay dirt. Although the putting greens are nice but see alot of golfers are not fixing the divots they leave when they land on the green. Have not seen any field marshals out to keep people moving.
Course was in fair condition.
Thank you To Mike for always keeping the residents happy around the Golf Course! Thanks Mike for everything that you do!
Play here very often.
The multi tiered greens are challenging. I could have enjoyed playing this course except that the fairways had virtually no grass left. I guess they have been devastated by all the rains this winter.
Greens are in great shape and can put fast. The boxes and fairways are definitely in winter shape
Decent course and bit challenging. Not much hazard and greens are in good condition.
Course in terrible shape, rated 4 on golfnow so drove 65 miles from palm springs where there are over 100 courses, expected better
Quick round...wish we had more time.
The newly refurbished tennis courts are very fun to play on very clean establishment
Nice, challenging course. Lots of elevation change. Fairways are narrow at points with homes nearby.
I do like it. Nice open fairways, open to carts even after rain due to good drainage.Great bar, grill.Do dislike mats on driving on range. Only good for warming up. Should have mats on sat/sun not wkdays.Good foodI give 4 out of 5.rating.
Temeku Hills Golf & Country Club rated 3-1/2 stars: Two well designed loops of nine holes, weave their way over gently undulating terrain at this resort style golf course in the heart of Temecula. Although housing lines many of the holes, sometimes on both sides, the real estate is usually set far enough back not to be in harms way, unless you are especially wayward, or the wind is blowing strongly.
Course is in perfect shape. Greens need rolled.Love the Legends.
Fairways poor... waiting on the tee box for 10 to 20 minutes since hole 10. Expensive save it for a better course
Rough and clever are very heavy and make this course on of the worse in the Temecula/Murrieta area
I am from Wisconsin and was here for the week. Nice place wish I could play in the summer when it is at its peek. Super fast greens that hold high iron shots. Plus nice rental clubs.
Booked a discounted rate on line. Went to play and was told no record of reservation. Was not given my discounted rate but rather charged $10 dollars more to play. As for the course, was the first time playing it and found it challenging and fun.
Enjoyed the course. Challenging and fun. Nice greens. Very friendly staff. Only negative, sand traps need some sand.
We found a great deal so we decided to try this course. It was alot of fun. There was pretty good distance between the colored tees which is important to me playing againt my husband. Staff and starter were nice, although he told us the greens were fast and broke more than it looked but we found them average speed, I made a lot of long puts. I enjoyed a breakfast burrito, nice looking restaurant. The winds really picked up while we were out there, made it challenging. Overall great deal for the money.
A municipal golf course. Reasonable green fees. Not too difficult, fairways are open, bunkers and fast greens.
The Legends is a great place to practice in the evening. Its not crowded and you can hit balls or practice chipping and putting. Also, you can get around the course pretty quickly.
This is a great Golf course the only problem I have with this golf course is the sand traps and bunkers are like Cement. Very nice people working there.
Greens are in great shape! Must play course if you live or visit Temecula
Steve is a fantastic instructor. Not overloaded with a million swing thoughts. Just simple tweaks and fixes. Im 10xs better
Really like this course. Challenging but forgiving. Great staff from proshoo to restaurant.
Nice beautiful wide course to play. Gorgeous Fairways and greens !It was great not losing any balls
Top 5 greens Ive ever played on. Price was good as well. $39.00 on a weekend
Del at the front desk is amazing, nice ambient and friendly people will be back!
As a resident of the Legends Golf Course/Temeku Hills Community its sad to see this course and its condition the way it is. I have been playing this course for years about once a week sometimes twice a week. I play here for its convenience and lay out. How ever with the amount of options for golf in the Temecula area its very hard to believe the green fees that are charged here for a course in this condition. Bunkers arent sand, theyre hard packed dirt, ponds are depleted of water almost, tournaments are undisclosed before tee time booking and causing unimaginable slow play. Most of the staff are very nice and personable but we come here to golf not to enjoy the staff. Be nice if ownership invested in its own establishment and employees, sad to report a bad review of a course Id prefer to play.
Course in good shape. Greens were amazing.
Fun course but the fairways were in pretty bad shape. Greens were in great shape. Friendly staff members.
Been going for years, Jeff has a great group and keeps the course in great condition!
We did not get to play so were going to Seven Hills
Owner not maintaining the golf course. Needs to be watered and groomed. Obviously he has no pride in keeping this golf course in good shape.Sad
I enjoyed my round, conditions were decent and the price was good.
Course is in good shape. Prices are reasonable! People are very friendly!!
Excellent condition to play, bunkers need more sand, but everything else is above average, nice place to play on weekends!
Nice challenging course the greens are kept up.
Nice staff. Equipment high quality. Another game scheduled.
Staff was very nice food was great course Inn awesome conditioning
The course is experiencing the poorest of maintenance and neglect. What a shame for a once beautiful course to be subjected to once again to poor business decisions.
The Legends Golf Club in Temeku Hills was formerly known as Temeku Hills Golf Course. This course is a Ted Robinson design in a mountain setting with challenging hills, undulating greens and plenty of scenic water holes and lakes. It is a diamond in the rough! A delight advance golfers who can play a very tight and straight game! Purchased by a Professional Golf College these greens have give challenge and practice to your draw and fade shots! Especially hole # 5 #8. Or if you are a beginner...the challenge to stay right down the middle! Great for practicing approach shots. The greens are beautifully scenic! It makes for an enjoyable place to be with family, friends or fundraising events. Great location...just a few lights down from the Temecula Wineries and not that far from Pechanga or Old Town Temecula!
I always have a good time at this golf Club. Greens are good, staff very friendly and overall a great time.
Very nice course. Great classes for children.
Much clover, weeds, and disrepair. Sad to see.
A very well maintained course where you are challenged.
The course is playing in really good condition.
Greens are in great condition.
Havent been there google blew it again
Great place to play golf and hold your golf tournaments.
Had the Memorial of Christ death here.Beautiful hall.
Course is great but replay fees are outrageos at 25 dollars
Putting greens are in great condition
Excellent course, very well manicured and the staff is very helpful.
Great price great course whats not to like
Beautiful club house
Hot day and a good breeze on all the holes.
Fun track and an excellent value.
I had a great time at the Legends
It took over 5 hours to play 18 holes because the senior members were having a golf tournament and the last 3 groups would not let anyone in and were too slow. Staff tried to intervene to let us in but one member parked his cart in the way so we could not play. I will never play here again and urge people to avoid this course. P.S.: Why does a golf course surrounded by desert have hard dirt bunkers ?
Love the pool
Great shape for being winter.
Beautiful place and nice staff
Fore!
Not enough babes
Nice course, setting is beautiful, food is ok
Always a fun place to play!
Good golf course
