If I could give zero stars, this is the place I’d give zero stars. I’ll start by saying that I’ve played Redhawk in the past, like 15 years ago. At that time, in its best shape, the course was marginal at best. I played again it today and vowed NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN. You heard me correct, I will NEVER play Redhawk again. It’s awful! If you look around, you can see the neglect and lack of funding to support this golf course all around. It used to be a decent place, now it’s headed for ruins. RIP Redhawk
The best part of the day was the grill. The service from the grill was amazing. The food was equally amazing. The course itself lacked. I never ever complain about such insignificant things. But the carts were in horrible condition! There were several greens that were suffering from either a fungus, or ill maintained. Not worth $75 a round. I haven’t played this course in several years. Was one of my favorites hands down. Really looked forward to playing it too.
A friend and I drove from Orange County to play today and we were very disappointed. When we made the tee time we were told that only the back nine was open; which was fine because we love the course. When we arrived we asked about pace and conditions and were told by the pro shop that pace was good and the back nine (which we were to play twice) was in good shape. As we pulled up to the tenth tee box it looked like a different golf course, I have never seen this course look so bad. We had a foursome in front of us that let us play through only to find that every hole was backed up at least 2, sometimes 3 and even 4 groups. We ended up talking to golfers in front of and behind us more than we golfed. After a grueling, almost six hour round, I am regretting paying the green fees and dreading my hour and a half drive home. Redhawk was one of my favorite course and now I don’t think I will be back. I hope the maintenance they are doing turns the course around because it’s not worth paying even the reduced green fees as of now.
Always a great track to play. Unfortunately, the course was muddy and sloppy with cart path only. No marshall to players along. All contributing to slow play.
Love this GC. Will play here any time I can. Nice open course and in good shape. Go play golf.....
Nice layout, good shape except for a few of the greens which were a bit beat up. Very slow play on 9/19/20, could not finish 18 holes with a 2:40 tee time. 5 some in front of us and no rangers in site to move things along.
Enjoyed our time here, the course was not too difficult. It was also well kept. We will definitely be coming back.
Great day for golf. Course is in good shape
Awful course! Horrible conditions and charged full price to play the back 9 twice. Wont ever come back.
Played today. On line rate was good. Course is in bad shape. Bar restroom was filthy. None of the course water coolers had cups. The restrooms on course dont have faucets on the sinks. Went to have a drink in the bar. No kitchen food. The kitchen closes at 4. There were more than a dozen guys I. There and all asked for something to eat. Their signature hole (#8) water looked disgusting, as did most of the ponds. Overall seems run down.
Nice course, good price, friendly staff.
Bag of peanuts 3 dollars is kind of ridiculous. Greens are slow. Worth no more than we paid $45. Layout is nice.
Fairways and greens in great shape. Greens holding your shots.
Better courses for the price average condition
Not a bad track and has some beautiful views. The course isnt in the best shape based on the current weather conditions and the sand traps need new sand. Greens are quick and good shape
Great course. Love playing there.
Unfortunately, Redhawk appears to only care about revenue. Not public health or state/county law. Regardless of being notified by several people that all golf courses are to be closed (per governor and Riverside county order), Redhawk has chosen to remain open. Drawing in more people than any other typical day due to the fact that they are one of three other courses staying open illegally. Ive seen on the #10 tee box, groups of 5-6 teeing off and standing right next to each other. So busy that theyre allowing larger groups to play together. Its a shame when businesses decide they are above the law!
The best golf course there is in inland empire. The beer cart was the best.
Greens need some work
I love the course and everyone was very friendly but I only have one thing to say. I was told they had an opening for a starter so I applied over two weeks ago and have not heard anything back yet. I am a Starter/Marshall at another course but it is 1/2 Hr drive and I want to stay close to home. The pay is not important to be, I just love golf and the smell of fresh cut grass in the mornings. I would even volunteer one day a week to work the course in trade for golf M-Thu if they had something like that. I also have an idea on how to get mode golfers to try Redhawk also that has never been done before that I know of.
VERY NICE PLACE
Good place nice places to look at
I love this course but after today I can’t give a 5 star review. Ive been playing here for 10 years and this was my first negative experience. I booked a time through Groupon for $30. Just to make sure there was no confusion I took screenshots as I booked the deal showing the fee and fine print. When I got to the course i was told it would be $55 which is the standard rate. I explained that I booked with Groupon for $30 and showed them the screenshots I took as evidence. They told me I could call Groupon to get it straightened out which I didnt have time for as we were ready to start our round. After going back and forth for a few minutes, I finally gave up as I saw that I wasnt getting anywhere. She blamed Groupon and said I had to deal with them because she didnt have the authority to resolve the issue and there was no manager on site. This makes no sense since I was paying the fee to the pro shop, not to Groupon. Not a very nice way to treat a 10 year long customer
Course is in great shape. Stay away from the trees. Too many leaves on the ground!!
Course was in decent condition... Greens were good to excellent
The staff at Red Hawk Golf Club is great. I went in the other day and they were very accommodating. The Director of Golf is a great guy. He worked with me to make sure that I enjoyed my round of golf. The front desk staff is top notch and I had a great time golfing. Its a great course. I will definitely be back.
This is Kevin Mitchell former MLB player national league MVPI had a great time at red hawk thank you I really enjoyed myself great golf course
Challenging course. I love the greans and the beautiful scenery. Make sure you practice your putts
The Thursday Social 9 at 4:30 pm is an absolute blast to play only $25.00 9 holes, cart and a drink ticket. Always meet some really great people.
My daughter and her husband treated me to a round of golf for a belated birthday present. We played on 4/28/2019.First time we played here.Beautiful course, greens were fast, and the fairways were immaculatelywell manicured. On the 17th par three holeI hit a six iron from the blue tees, down hill, slightly overcast windy, the ball bounce front left of the green andit rolled slightly right up to the upper tier.I lost sight of it. My son in law hit his pin high far right down the hill.As we drove up he went looking for his ball, while I could not find my ball.We went looking for my ballafter he hit his ball on the green. Then he looked in the hole andpicked up my ball and said is this your ball?I said holy sh___t! That’s my ball.Hole in one on the 17th hole.My first in 20 years of playingcame close hitting the flagseveral times. Thanks Redhawk Golf Coursefor a memorable timeplaying at your course!!
Just played Saturday havent played here in 5 years the fairways are in good shape the greens need some work the bunkers could use some sand would probably come back
Course is in great shape. But, too pricey for this course. Over $70 for a round of golf. :(
Great course. Great staff. One suggestion: Whenever I call in I am told, Im currently with a guest, can you please hold. I then sit on hold for multiple minutes when usually my question could be answered in 5 seconds. Such as, Are there social 9 spots open?, or Is the course busy?. The employee can quickly say yes or no, and if its yes then they can ask the caller to please hold and that they are with a guest but will be right back to take care of it. Instead I sit on hold for minutes only to hear a no.
Such a beautiful golf course. I wish I took some pictures. The range is nicely kept up. The clubhouse bar is wonderful. That have a very friendly staff.
For the this was a great course. The greens were a little rough but other than that no complaints, but when I birdied the last 3 holes hard to complain. Service was A+
Great course tough, but the fairways and greens are in great shape.
Very nice place all around and in great shape!!
Good golf course. Friendly staff. Driving range on mats mainly. Restaurant has decent selection and friendly staff. Reasonable prices also
Good course. Greens are good, but could be more consistent.
Beautiful all around. Make time in the morning to get a breakfast burrito.
I was looking for a high end course near Pechanga that my golf partners could agree with. Their normal fee was $75 a player with a cart. I found a deal for $65 per with cart.I did use the driving range but I did use the practice green which was very well maintained. The proshop did not have a good selection of clothing (I like to get a logod polo when I play a new course). The might have been a clue.Right off I noticed the carts did not have GPS units in them. Every course Ive played in the $75 or higher price point has GPS with yardage to the front middle and back of the green. Many have yardage to that days pin placement. The rough we poorly maintained with contained all sorts of different grass. The bunkers had dirt in them except for one on hole 18 which actually had sand in it. There was one waste area in front of one of the green that small rocks and what appeared to be powered concrete mix even though Im sure it was not.The one redeeming feature was that the greens were in excellent shape.Overall Id expect these conditions at a $30 muni but not at $75 higher end course.
One of the better public courses Ive had the chance to go too. Many challenging holes, beautiful holes, fun holes. Really a great course. Not too expensive either. Go play 18!!
Great layout. Challenging for an experienced golfer from the black tees, but palpable for even the beginner golfer from the front tees. Great course for a great value.
The hidden gem in Temecula! Everything was well maintained and perfect condition. The staffs were absolutely professional and courteous. Definitely Ill play again!
Great pacing and course is in great condition.
At one point we had a 4 group wait.
Fairways need either fertilization or aeriation. Greens were nice. Staff was very nice. Bathrooms are clean.
Great facility in all phrases, customer service, food n beverages, course conditions and carts
Very nice course, well kept, reasonable prices for seniors like myself,a bit if a drive for us(mission Viejo),but well worth the time and drive, will be back again!!!
My family and I went golfing yesterday for Mothers Day. We were able to get on without a tee time and the service was good at check in. We stopped after 9 holes with the kids and took them home (we only live a few blocks away) and then resumed playing the remaining 9 holes. Some of the holes were in rough shape. There were soggy parts on the course and in other areas, there were flags marking water lines and other maintenance issues. Overall, the course was good. The restaurant/bar was closing around 3:30 PM. I dont know if this is normal on a Sunday afternoon or if they closed early...
Greens rolled nicely. fairways average, okay if you roll em. tee boxes great shape. need reflective tape on flag stick.
The course was in the best shape its been in for a very long time. Customer service is still very good they honored some very old coupons, even though they had no expiration date the counter guy said hed he has never seen them before.
Great golf course, technical but very nice and well kept.
Great place to play golf and Mondays senior rates were exceptional.
Course was wet but very playable. Very good condition with greens very fair. Pace of play was excellent!! I can recommend and will return.
Used to go here for golf lessons and have recently been using the range. Its a great course. The staff is nice too.
One of my favorite must play courses in southern california
The best part was the clubhouse
We thoroughly enjoyed playing @ Redhawk. The starter gentleman was especially accommodating, friendly, & informative!! The course is lovely, challenging, well maintained! Thank you!
Very wet today, nice layout, greens still in good shape...
Great course, really friendly staff! They make you feel welcome and appreciate your business. If it were a little closer, Id play there regularly!
Great golf course. Friendly staff. Had a special on and well worth it. Will go back.
Difficult but fun
Great course, amazing views and some really cool risk reward shots. Always enjoy the Island Green... look forward to playing RH again soon.
Excellent course. Lots fun fun and challenging. Highly recommended if your ever in Temecula
Incredible & beautiful gulf coarse! Love the red gulf carts!
Ive played here for over a decade. Used to be a nice neighborhood course. New owners are charging $70 for 6 hour rounds. Conditions have gone downhill. Just played last week and its not worth $30. Water and mud all over. Fairways are dead. No seeding. The only reason Im not giving it a 1 star is because it is actually a challenging layout.
Nice course, fun par 3s, for med to low handicap..
Great day of golf! Course in great shape.
Beautiful. It really is. I played a school match with 18 holes and my school did not give us golf carts :( This course is HUUUGE. Now my legs hurt xD
Great course at a reasonable price.
Great competitive golf course with several challenging holes of golf. Be sure to visit the cantina. Good place to load up on cool Refreshments it can get very warm on this golf course
Large course. Maintenance should have a handle on the course and some good rounds can be scored out here.
Course is always backed up. $34 membership price for twilight play in 90 degree heat.
Greens were just punched and the sand traps really do need some attention otherwise I really do enjoy playing this course
Dont remember this but was probably nice
Just stopped to make a tee time. First visit course looks nice.
Challenging municipal course, incredible green conditions offer optimal play.
I never get bored playing golf here. Well maintained.
Would have rated this 4 or 5 stars but as we were finishing hole 14 they told us there was a tournament coming through so we had to go back to the front 9. Great conditions though.
For as muck rain as we had redhawk fairways look like its the middle of summer.
What can one say about a great Golf Course outstanding staff very helpful
Greens are bumpy and bunkers have no sand.
Speed bumbs to hard on custom vehicles
Great course. Have good specials
A great course. Tournament difficulty. Got on cheap with GN. But its pretty much hurry and stop play after 11 and on.
Disappointed by the experience. I have about a 12 handicap. I was expecting a lot because I had heard many people compliment the course, and the course fee was over $70. I played the course during the first weekend of January. It had rained quite a bit, so the course was not in great shape, i.e. water in bunkers that caused us to lose golf balls and were unplayable, some pretty bad turf. Obviously, this was more mother natures fault, not so much the course. However, I do not love playing courses that do not overseed, and therefore have fairways that are brown during the winter. I also do not love courses that are surrounded by houses on most holes. What bothered me the most was that it took 3 hours to play the front 9 holes and just under 6 hours to play 18 holes. Very frustrating to wait that long. I am not sure what the main reason was, maybe they booked tee times too close together, or the fact that I never saw a course Marshal. For that they should get 1 star, but I am giving 2 stars, because the course has potential if play time was improved.
Great course and range. Inexpensive but popular
Nice course, a little narrow but well maintained and challenging
