We had an experience of a lifetime thanks to Habana Art Travel. Our trip to Havana was better than expected and they made the process of the paperwork, itinerary, and travel incredibly smooth. I HIGHLY recommend them. The locals, the dancers, the musicians, the artists... we will never forget this trip.
If you are looking for the top-drawer, VIP experience on the island, there is really no decision to make. They are connected to every great rental house, know the absolute best restaurants, friendly businesses, the best bands, private drivers with new, safe cars, all far away from the maddening tour busses and cruise ships.Whether you this is your first trip to the Island or just your most recent, unless you just dont want to have the best possible experience, Manny and Mike are the ones to call. I cannot imagine anyone being less than thrilled.
Excellent 5 day trip to Havana. Visits to Murealando and Fusterlandia were wonderful. Would highly recommend Habana Art for any travel needs to Cuba.
Manny & Mike took a group of 8 of us to Havana for a long weekend in March. I was previously in Cuba in 2012, but this was an entirely different experience with Manny & Mike. We stayed in a private home, which was beautiful, including the pool and backyard view of the water and Malecon. Our days were busy, but totally enjoyable. We packed the sites and sounds of Cuba into just 3 and a half days, including a performance by Compas Dance, a trip to the beach, the Hemmingway House, and the Havana Rum factory tour...my favorite.Cuba is pretty overrun with international tourist, so the advantage of having Manny & Mike and their band of locals who know every aspect of the city and countryside is invaluable. Thanks guys for a wonderful experience for me, Steve & Rachel.
This was my second trip to Havana since I was twelve years of age. I was totally with impressed with the beauty of the island, Havana (albeit the need for considerable improvement of the infrastracture), the friendliness of the Cuban people and how happy they seem to be with so little. I was overwhelmed by the reception the we, The Rockers, received and with the beauty of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, as well as the magnificent view of the famous Malecon. I sincerely hope that I and my fellow Rockers may return once again to the Perla del Caribe- Cuba!
We were contacted by a friend regarding joining the group that was going to Cuba with the Habana Art Travel team. We contacted Mike Mauricio and he told us what documents were needed. From then on everything was taken care of. Amazing service through the entire process. Since I was “Cuban born”, they also helped me to obtain a visitors’ visa.We had a group meeting in an Ybor City restaurant a few weeks before our trip, where our travel documents were given to us and information regarding our trip and any questions that we had were answered in detail. We were so excited about how organized everything was, down to color coded bracelets to know which tourist bus we would spend the entire trip with. The morning of our flight, we were met by Mike Mauricio & Manny Fernandez at airline check-in. Both walked us through our airline check-in, everything was in order and went so smooth! On the plane they told us what to expect at the airport in Cuba. Once we completed customs at the airport, we were guided by our Cuban guides to a very nice tourist bus to be taken to the hotel. On the way to our hotel, our guide was already showing us the sites along the way and giving us some history of Havana. Once we arrived at our hotel, our luggage was carried in to the hotel and put in a secure area. We were then off to a city tour with our wonderful guides, who were with us throughout the entire trip. Our first lunch was in the covered patio that leads in to the beautiful Hotel National’s tropical landscape with a view of the beautiful Malecon! We had our first Cuban sandwich. Not to go unnamed, Viviana, our guide, and Dagoberto, our bus driver, treated us as part of their family thru the entire 5 days, always answering questions and explaining everything in detail. It was difficult to part with them. The Hotel National accommodations were outstanding, comfortable beds, super air conditioning and awesome room service. The public areas and bars were perfect. The hotel included a wonderful breakfast buffet, which included several fresh juices, guava, orange, coffee, specialty coffees, omelets and fresh fruit. Cuban bread, croissants and muffins. After going to several art and music tours and the fabulous Las Vegas type outdoor show at the 1939 Tropicana and the culmination of our trip was crowned with a fantastic dinner at the Hotel’s ballroom, accompanied by Cuban citizens on each of our tables, and of course the performance by, local band, Sol y Son and THE FABULOUS ROCKERS, with an unforgettable performance! The entire night was magical, the great entertainment and the bonding of our Cuban neighbors with Florida guests can’t be described with words! The next morning we all met in the hotel lobby, enjoyed our final breakfast at the Hotel National and boarded our buses, accompanied by our great guide, Viviana and bus driver Dagoberto. Our guides stood in line with us at the airport until we were all checked in and ready to board our airplane back to Tampa. The conversations on the plane ride back were about our wonderful trip to Cuba and how soon could we all return for another visit.Eddie & Cathy Rocha
