The best IMAX screen in town. Nice staff & a good selection of current movies & documentaries. They also have a planetarium with a nice selection of shows.

My wife and I love to come here. We respect the fact that the Challenger learning center charges reasonable prices for Imax movies. We feel that other movie theaters do not usually live up to there $+13 price tag. We use this opportunity to support this public location. Relatively clean building with friendly employees.

Best imax experience in town, other theaters advertise a display that projects to imax resolution, but once you visit this place you will realize what a lie they sell you at such a cost.The popcorn and treats here are far more reasonably priced than a chain movie theater. I wont lie and say the seats are great, watching a two hour + movie in there will hurt your bum. But I have only noticed while watching movies that edge three hours.They have kids programs here, a planetarium as well as other activities that are worth exploring if you are looking for things to do that wont kill the bank.

Great experience to communicate and learn about space. We even had a demestration and movie. One of our guides Hidi was amazing.

We took a large group of students amd staff from our school. Samantha from group sales was super responsive. The prices were good. And it was easy to check in. Worth it!

Im a regular visitor to the challenger learning center, usually for Imax, but on 9/16/18 I took my grandmother to the aurora show at the digital dome. We were the only 2 people there. Randall played the show as if it was a full room. After the show Randall told us that there were no other people for the next show so we were slow to get up and my grandmother asked him a question about the constellations that were displayed on the dome after the aurora show. Randall didnt rush us out and my grandmother ask him several more questions. He was excellent! Even went so far as to show us where the stars would have been on our birthdays 2000 years ago. The challenger learning center is fun and educational, especially with people like Randall working there. Get your tickets and support this place. Youll be glad you did. Thanks Randall!

I really enjoy this theater. I can catch the early movie here and enjoy it without the crowd. I actually saw Black Panther twice today! The staff was pretty cool as well.

We love Challenger and their summer camps, spring camps, Sciturdays, and the movies and other events they have. The staff and counselors are amazing! We also love the planetarium shows. We are so fortunate to have a place like this in town.

Best theater to see a big Hollywood movie in Tallahassee. Better prices for IMAX and concessions. Family atmosphere. Awesome all around.

I attended the showing of the Black Panther. The facilities and staff were great. The facility provided an outsta ding experience. I would highly recommend the Challenger Learning.

I went to see Jurassic Park on the 3D IMAX at the Challenger Center. I consider their IMAX screen the best in town. The price was right and the popcorn was great. I’m going there to see 3D IMAX from now on. It was clean and the staff was friendly too.

Thoroughly enjoyed the IMAX experience. No technical difficulties and the quality of both the projector and audio helped immerse you in the material. We saw beautiful planet and national parks in 3D would highly recommend both documentaries.

Very inexpensive tickets. Parking in the garage next to it is recommended and thats the only hassle. The movie quality and great and the seats are mediocorely comfortable, but it is a fraction of the price of kther theaters in the area so it evens out.

My husband and I just went and saw Avatar (not in 3-D) and it was magnificent! Fantastic sound, great seating and who can complain about the great viewing experience? The bathrooms were easy to get to at any exit and the Dippin Dots were a fun movie treat. 5 Stars!

With a IMAX screen that puts others to shame, the Challenger Learning Center is the best place for movie night. It is definitely much cheaper than other IMAX theaters in town and for the first Saturday of the month they have a free planetarium show run by Tallahassees own amateur astronomers.

Clean, excellent service and audio/video. Always excellent seats available at Tallahassees best kept secret. IMAX (and 3D) movie prices are cheaper than mall theaters and you get top-notch comfort and quality!

Yea this place is not so interesting.. Really expensive just for a birthday party. I would recommend people to go to skyzone or fun station.

CLC is fun place for the whole family. Plenty of educational activities, great for organizing kids Birthday party. Great IMAX screen as well as Planetarium.

Love this place. Its a great place to escape to when theres some too crowded event in Kleman plaza. I love the movies but a coupon helps with the price of them once in a while and Im bigger than a ballerina so the chairs are a little pinchy. What I love most honestly is the fairly good price of the consessions. I can get a popcorn and drink without taking out a second mortgage. And all the people who work there are cheery and upbeat and very patient. A good time all around. Good job.

Nice and convenient to all downtown

Neat place but as far as the general public is concerned, its primarily an imax theater. There are a few interactive games that are geared toward kids. There are some nasa space exhibits that adults would find interesting. Dont expect to spend more than a half hour, though. The imax is a good price: 10 for adults and 9 if youre a student. I prefer it over the ridiculous prices of the other theaters. The screen is huge and the theater is clean.

Chaperoned my grandsons 3rd grade class trip. The IMAX part of the trip truly amazed all the kids. We saw the lemur movie and it was so awesome!!! I will be bringing my grandson and other grandchildren to IMAX during the summer break.

Great place for the kids they had fun and in the process they learned

So i am giving this 3 stars because the theatre is absolutely incredible and i enjoyed watching the movie a lot. The concession stand employees however, i did not enjoy them. There was one particular guy who not only had a really nasty attitude towards me and my boyfriend, but everyone else it seemed. You could tell he did NOT want to be there. So i see them talking about some pizza and there was pizza in a small oven and they were talking to someone asking them if they wanted their pizza cooked a certain way and all that. Well i decided i wanted some pizza also so i went up to the guy and said “do you sell the pizza in slices?” and he gives me the most horrible and disgusted look and says “um we don’t sell pizza here.” So not only was i kind of mad that there was no pizza and i must have misunderstood, but the guy was a total jerk and i just looked at him and said “never mind then” and walked off. Totally embarrassing but the movie fixed my attitude so i’m giving this place 3 stars...also their other stuff there is pretty cool too :)

Exceptional Imax of National Parks and Dome theater great!

(This review is really only for the IMAX part of this broader venue).Mid-sized IMAX screen, sufficient and comfortable seating, smallish concession stand.All in all, just the right size for our population. Ive never been to a sold-out event here and, frankly, I often forget this is an option.That said, its the best screen in the county - and if youre really looking for the larger-than-life experience, this screen yields a beautiful IMAX experience. Its no Warren Theaters IMAX - but then again - theres only one of those (in Wichita, not in NYC!).

Cheaper than the regular theater, but very limited showings and cannot do reserved seats. I have an army of kids...reserved seats would go a long way!
