This place was really cool! I loved aimlessly looking around for a rental. I eventually stumbled upon a good one and had a great night. I also loved the collection of movie candies and popcorn. They guy at the desk was also super nice and clearly a film buff! A great little place.

This place is amazing! Awesome movie selection (tons of great cult classics), and an extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. Freshly popped popcorn, cold RC Cola, and a screening room you can rent out for parties (which I highly recommend!); whats not to love?

We rented the cinema for my daughters birthday. It has two rows of cinema seats and front row with comfy chairs and a couch. Perfect for social distancing! The movie is a DVD, but on a very nice large screen. They even have fresh popcorn and movie candy, as well as a selection of cold drinks.Definitely a must see!!

I had a wonderful time perusing their movies and memorabilia. What an amazing place! So much to look at and so fun. Rented two movies from my favorite director David Lynch, great price. Ill be going back to rent more movies!

To be a patron of capital city video lounge has been one of the best experiences that Tallahassee has to offer hands down.The nostalgia of Video rental is complemented by the smell of fresh movie theatre popcorn and the laughter of other patrons. The movie theatre it’s self is a large screen that has all the frills one would expect to showcase the kind of electric Hollywood movie magic that they show case here.The owners are genuine and after a visit soon become second family to just about everyone.If you’re ever home sick just stop by.

If I had to name one thing about Tallahassee I miss the most, it would be Cap City Video Lounge. Theres no place like it. It has all the best nostalgic elements of old-school video stores, but its so much more than that. It is the perfect hangout spot, with couches and chairs, a theater, awesome memorabilia all over the place, and just an overall great atmosphere. Kevin and Cassie are amazing people, and their passion for movies really shows. An absolutely magical place!

I cannot recommend CCVL enough to people who are into movies and want to try something new. Not only is it a fun place to hang out because everyone is so welcoming, but their knowledge of movies is expansive. They have an array of films that are indie or a little off the beaten path. There is literally something for everyone.

The Cap City Video Lounge is a unique treasure of Tallahassee. It is like a nostalgia machine. I used to love going to the video store as a kid and I get that same feeling walking in here. Their special movie screenings are a real treat. Theyre such a great chance to get together and enjoy cinema with others. They have a good selection of rentals from the new and mainstream to the incredibly obscure. The staff is always beyond friendly and makes me feel like one of the gang. Great priced drinks and snacks too. If you like movies you have to be here.

CCVL has a great assortment of hard to find videos. Its not just a video rental store, but has chairs and couches to watch videos, standard theater treats, and a staff thats more interesting than most things youd watch on TV.

This is one of my favorite places in town. the decor is amazing, full of movie memorabilia. they have a fantastic and eclectic selection of films to rent not only on dvd and blue ray, but also on vhs. they screen a lot of classic films and you can byob for a super low uncorking fee. the owners are so friendly and host very fun events at college student prices. cannot recommend enough.

Theyre very nice here and the place is cute!1 new movie = $3 for 3 days and 1 regular movie = $2 for 3 days. They have whole series for $7 for 7 days. This place is really worth checking out!

A rare experience and as awesome local Tallahassee business. Cap City is a great place to rent for a kids bday party or an adult party. The movies they have for rental are rare and hard to find cult classics and the showings they do in the theater are often tributes like the Carrie Fisher memorial showing of the original star wars movies or the Bill Paxton marathon. Not to mention Mystery Science Theater night etc. Great place to hang out with friends and enjoy a show!

The couple who own and operate this establishment are some of the finest cinophiles you will ever encounter and that is only rivaled by their friendliness and courtesy. Everyone you encounter here seems very easy to talk to as well, so feel free to geek out on some Chucky lore or that shocking new film that was just released and its still on your mind. Their theatre room is also very enjoyable with comfortable seating and an exceptionally competent audio visual setup, movies are only $5 and most concessions under $3. Of course this is also a video store where you can borrow movies from the shelf for your own home viewing. There are many hard to find titles here so it is actually quite invaluable a resource in that aspect as well. So what are you waiting for! Visit Cap. City Movie Lounge tonight!!!
