Been here a couple of times now. Its better than most of the places on the Illinois River, but there may be some better. They have good equipment and a nice float trip. The staff and bus are nice enough. Parking is good. Prices are fair. The only area where they are not as good as the others is the offloading spot. Very muddy, like quicksand muddy. Do not try to jump off early and walk your floatation to the shore, you will get stuck. Stay in your floatation until it hits shore. Trust me and thank me later. The nice bonus is they have very hot showers to rinse off in after you are done. A+ for that.
Friendly staff, quick service, clean and quiet campgrounds. Our canoe looked like a salvage recovery job. We literally had to knock a big dent out of the bottom so our cooler would ride flat. but it got us back no problems.
Great prices and everyone was very nice. The bunkhouse was clean. We had trouble getting in, but they came very quickly to help us get into the room. The bus driver and the rafts were great, too.
We are Texans who wanted to adventure like Oklahomans! So we scheduled the 57 mile canoe float on the Illinois River, through Falcon Floats.Mind you, nothing went 100% smoothly, and it should be understood that that will happen when out and about in nature. Nothing is foolproof and the people at Falcon were super kind and impressed with our endeavor. We finished the float in just under the mark and were celebrated and clapped on the back. The canoes are aluminum, not wholly comfortable or water tight. The river was high for the season but low enough to scrape ass here and there. There is a lot of debris in the river itself and was the only reason we tipped. Falcon Floats website is a little lacking and not wholly informational. It could improve. There werent many signs on the way back and sometimes, we werent certain where we were. But we kept going, set up camp, ate fish off the fire and swam when we wanted to. We arrived 11pm on the 4th of July and were welcomed back with an impressive display of fireworks. Thank you, Falcon Floats, for facilitating an incredible adventure!
Super nice staff!! Drove from Seminole was less than a mile away from Falcon Floats, and all the lug nuts broke off our back tire as we turned off the highway (just our luck). This was at 7:30 am we were trying to make it to the Thursday 10:00 am $10 eight mile float. My husband got a ride to the auto parts store to repair the truck from a super sweet lady. When they returned she asked where we were floating I said Falcon trying to make it to the $10 float. She called and told them our situation and asked if she brought me up there and I paid if they would still allow us to do the $10 float? They said sure, so she dropped me off I paid and we got our $10 float trip at 11:30 when my husband and son finally was able to get our tire back on! I was sure they were going to say nope they have to be here by 10:00. They even loaded the bus just for us! It may not seem like a lot but it made our bad day a lot better! The float was amazing!!! Only downside was the exit was a little had to turn into with a raft. They warned us of this ahead of time and told us if we couldn’t make it just to exit at All American and call them from there and they would pick us up from there. We made the turn so it was all good!
This was a wonderful place and want to go when I can stay longer. People were very nice and they have a wonderful pool. Float the river was a great experience they made it so easy to get out there and have a great time. They do have bathrooms with showers and the wildlife views were great.
Offers the longest trip. Friendly. My only complaint is the bathrooms. They are too small, not very clean. We went in thr morning before or trip ands there was no tp, and no paper towels. They need more stalls, a place for women to fix themselves up. We come from it of town and on the river all day, so we eat at a restaurant after. Need adequate space for multiple people to groom for an outing after being on the river.
We had a blast! Laughed so many times. Water was flowing fast so had to pull over to make the trip last but it was clear and coud see to the bottom. Great time
We had a great time! Well maintained rafts and nice staff. We took advantage of the $10 special on Thursdays, though there was quite a crowd at the office. Beautiful day.
The float trip was great until the end, there landing is so muddy and shallow that you had to get out of the raft and I sank to my knee caps and almost didnt get out of the mud! We will not be using falcon floats ever again. We usually use sparrow hawk floats but there driver was late so we went to falcon floats, huge mistake!
We had a blast! Porta potty was nasty but hey your camping and make the best of it. The river was nice and staff was super nice and helpful. Not one time we’re we treated badly and staff helped out a lot. Yes the sign for the exit is up in the trees but pay attention and you’ll see it. This isn’t a guided tour so if you need to be baby sat then bring ya momma. Music and people being loud are to be expected. Love it and will definitely come back. I do wish people would help keep the camp grounds and river cleaner.
Good deal, fine service. Staff did not go above and beyond to help us when we encountered an issue, but overall decent.
If I could give this place 0 stars I definitely would. We started out by showing up to check in and EVERY single person who worked here was rude and did not care about anyone but themselves. P.s when taking children they do not supply child life vests they tell you it’s all one size fits all (that’s safe for my 3 year old). The float itself wasn’t too bad but make sure you don’t land on anyone’s property because they didn’t tell us anything Off the shore is private property and they will have you arrested according to one of the owners. Towards the end they tell you to make a sharp turn off to dock, little did we know that meant wading through mud that was thigh deep trying to get back with my two children. I would never recommend this place.
Do not rent boats from Falcon. They suggest arriving before 10am we arrived at 9:35 and within 10 min waivers were signed and we were waiting for our names to be called. We waited till 11:15 till our names were finally called to load the bus for our 13 mile float in kayaks. When we arrived at the launch we reserved two kayaks and the only two there were in bad shape no straps to tie down our cooler and we were not even given trash bags. I had to convince the driver we had to have a strap for our cooler and he offered a strap from the boat trailer with one hook and I made it work. We just threw our empties back in the cool to keep from littering. After a few miles I noticed the kayak behaving like it was full of water and it was not. Needless to say it had a hole and the hull was filling up. We managed to make it to the put in for the 8 mile floaters and there was a Falcon kayak trailer with one single kayak and 3 tandem kayaks there so I swapped out for the single. Once I unloaded the new one, got it to the water and was about to set off, a guy walked up asking what was going on and I showed him the 4 patches on the old kayak and the place the fifth patch must have come off the bottom of the boat. The new boats didn’t look much better with 3 patches on the bottom but I was just ready to go and tired of flipping up the kayaks so it would drain through the drain hole in front. Well less than a mile down this boat is taking on water too. To explain what it feels like when your hull is full of water is like trying to lean a little but the water inside wants to lean a lot and flip you side ways. It’s completely uncontrollable and you end up sinking. I pull out with my friend and we call Falcon to see if they can float us one of those tandem (2 person) kayaks down or any floating vessel. I assumed it would not be that hard to have one of the many workers(5 office workers 1 guy sitting in his car at 8 mile, 3 bus drivers) tie a boat behind and float from that 8 mile put-in spot to us and then they could get out at their next take out/put in. I would be maybe an hour inconvenienced but we could finish the float. They said that was impossible they can not do that. My only option was to make it down to the next spot 3-4 miles down river, go back up river or they could call 911 to rescue me. I tried to reason with the guy and he refused to offer any logical help saying you can float on down go back or I will get 911 to rescue you. I was starting to see how little they cared to help but held my cool. He offered a gift certificate for future floats and for me to let them know when I end up at one of those places or if they should send rescue Emergency boats by calling 911. So we decided there was no way to make it up river so my buddy offered to relieve me swapping out with him and we would just go fast paddling to make up distance as it took on water. We paddled hard for 1.5 hours stopping 5 times to drain the water from inside the hull. When we got to the point they said we were too tired from all the heavy paddling and flipping the boat on its nose to drain we just wanted to be done. When we pulled both boats out of the water they both were full of water. So now 3 boats we have used have holes. All three kayaks had a minimum of 3 patches on the bottom one had 5. Luckily the wait was only 15 minutes after I made the call for a pick up and we were in the bus heading back to our vehicle. No apologies, no questions, no offer of refund, no one met me to offer a gift certificate with an apology, no in person anything. We got back, unloaded the bus and just drove off. This place cares nothing for their customers. Even if they replace these 3 bad vessels do not rent from them. There are too many more options to go through this nightmare.
We checked in stood outside for over an hour was never called to get on the bus to be dropped off for our 13 mile float .... they fixed it super nice and friendly poor girl was in there all alone .... soooo our raft had a hole in it and we began taking on water threw out the float .... and loosing air ..... Ill probably never go threw the. Again sadly .... but the staff themselves was very friendly and the guy who drove us and dropped us off was a sweetheart!!!!!
Only floated, cant say anything about the camp grounds or facilities...staff was friendly and prompt picking us up to go to and fro. We had a good time without knowing exactly how long it would take to do 16 miles. No markers on the river to let you know, but we guessed and luckily made it back by 7pm (over 8 total hrs we took 2.5hrs worth of breaks, the rest we were floating). There are bigger and fancier outfits nearby, but since we werent camping that didnt apply to us. Overall quite happy w FF.
Staff are friendly and prices are fair. We had a wonderful time! It was well worth the time.
This is a great place to visit while in Tahlequah, ok, if ur gonna float the river that is..
If I could give this zero stars I would. It was our family’s first float trip...we waited an hour to leave, I confirmed with the driver our count of rafts (bc he didn’t have our count) he said that he had everything and that more kayaks were at the river..turns out there wasn’t so we had to drop off all people at the different drop off points then get more kayaks and take us back. Took us 1 1/2 hrs to get on the water then took 40 mins to pick us up from drop off point. If you wanna wait around more than float this is your place! We were dropped off at All American and wow they look more organized for sure!!
Paid for a raft and 3 tubes. When we got to the river the tubes never showed up and they ended up giving us to another raft. You better look for your exit when you get towards the end of the river. We missed it and ended up down the river at another place. They had to come get it. Overall, we had a good time.
Very enjoyable trip. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend to others.
First time fliating and it was amazing did 8miles and cant wait to go again
USE CAUTION WITH FALCON! First, I had reserved 2 kayaks. When we got to Falcon we learned they had given our kayaks away even though we were on time for our reservation. If we wanted to float we would have to get a raft and pay for 4 people even though there were 3 of us and they gave no consideration for the reservation issue. Next, the restrooms are absolutely disgusting! And the landing area (final float area from the river back to Falcon) was like floating through the sewage from the restrooms! The positives were friendly people outside of Tom (I believe was his name) in reservations and the raft itself was in good shape.
Staff was very friendly. Had a blast. Highly recommend.
The float was good but the landing was horrible it was nothing but mud we got stuck. The staff stood on the gravel and watched at least 3 rafts stuck and we had to get our rafts unstuck.
Wouldve gave 5 but when we tried to dock after floating it was knee deep mud and had to struggle to get all the kayaks and rafts onto the bank. But did have a great time.
The staff is friendly and tried to accommodate us as well as possible. Now, the restrooms are wrecked out!!!! 1 urinal and 1 toilet for an overcrowded facility in the mens restroom and 2 in the womens. Both were nasty and overflowing with feces. UNACCEPTABLE!!!Then the RV spots are nothing more than primitive camping with electric hook ups.I WILL DEFINITELY FIND A NEW RESORT TO USE NEXT TIME!!!!
Stayed for the entire weekend. Upon arriving staff inside were very friendly and helpful. River float was awesome. Staff that loaded and unloaded were also very friendly. Only a few downsides. One, the facilities were not very clean. The womens restroom had one clogged toilet and broken seat. Port-o-potties didnt seem like they hadnt been changed out in weeks, and the neighbors roosters were right on time both mornings about 6. Will stay again but on other side away from the roosters.
Had a blast last week, falcon was beautiful and floating was great!! Not to mention all the fish we caught,Ill be back soon!
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices.
So we went on a Sunday. With COVID spikes I was concerned. Everyone kind of stayed to themselves. We got there about 930 a.m and like everyone else you pull in. But have to cross the road to park. Which on that stretch was dangerous. But the same all the way up. Maybe yellow flashing signs would help, nothing to do with Falcon floats. We stood outside while my husband went to check us in. They gave us a box for our phones and gave us info, about where we go at the end, which was All American floats. The number to call was on the box. But at the end our bus was there, waiting. It was a GREAT emotional experience. Will definitely will go back. Its kinda scary with COVID. But the bus we got on had maybe 15 ppl. Because everyone does the 8 mile. Just gonna say, if I get COVID after my trip, its so worth it. Our driver WAS amazing WE WILL DEF COME BACK. Only complaint, is in the office to check in. Maybe putting up a sign saying only check in guest allowed.Per say reservation name. The young ppl over crowed it. Made for a hard time. But the desk ppl were very pleasant. Loved the man calling out the names. So sweety. Very family oriented. Thank you Falcon Floats #FalconFan
Went there twice, first time wasnt given kayaks we pre-paid for and had to wait over an hour for a canoe that didnt have a hole in it. Second time was given kayaks that had holes in them so we had to stop every 20 minutes to empty out water so they didnt sink.
Had a blast, would not recommend canoing 57 miles for an inexperienced person, its rough! People are very friendly and nice, keep it kept up very well.
We enjoyed our trip with Falcon floats would definitely do again
We arrived and the main office had a terrible odor. The employees that we had to deal with acted as if they were clueless. The parking situation was terrible. We had to park across the busy road and walk back to the business to get on the bus. The two man kayak had horrible seats. The river was the nicest part of the trip...thank God. Once we arrived at the location to go back to Falcon Floats off the river we had to paddle up a VERY NASTY, stagnant water, shallow muddy canal. We tried this place once, but will never use them again. Drive past this place and continue looking.
This place was dirty, the people were rude, where you get off the river is impossible to do so you have to float down to next stop to get off! We called to tell the we couldn’t get off at falcon so I guess for punishment they made us wait for them to come pick us up when they didn’t show up we had to ask for a ride! This place is not fit to be operating!
Will not go back,I strongly suggest looking at every other float trip around before deciding on this dump
Good place friendly people fun times
Great people, great prices, outstanding all around!! Thanks, Chuck!!
Cool place.
Float was fine. It was the end. You have to go into a cove that is knee deep in mud. Stagnant water. Flies. Gross. Bathrooms are disgusting. Parking terrible. It was cheap for an 8mile. They need to spend some money and update the place. Wont rent from them again.
Great price. Older, well worn equipment, but still a great time. A small camp area, a bit too close to the road for me, but not terrible over all. Also dog friendly which is a HUGE plus for me.
Was awesome till the muddy end
Great place for family and kids owners are awsome by far best place float on Illinois
After a 2 night stay in a bunk house, party of 13, we discovered all but 2 people on the trip came up with bed bugs. That’s coming from a doctor... not self diagnosing! We proceeded to call the front office for falcon floats, where we nicely told them what was going on. They instantly got defensive by telling us that we were the ones that brought the bugs and there was nothing they could do about it. After arguing for half an hour, they said that if anything, we need to be charged double. NOT TO MENTION... when we got there... the bunk house was not cleaned at all... a member of our party had to sweep and pick up some trash. If you’re looking for a place to stay for the weekend, have fun, and not have to worry about anything.... I suggest Diamond head resort
Nice place for family trip
The staff at All American float are so professional and nice! They akways take great care if us. Thank you so much! The only draw back.. Some regulars who camp all the time..have no respect for others or their property. So heads up on that!
It wasnt as it was told...The office smelt of cat litter box and the two mosquito swamps were 150 ft away!!Very nice people...but they need to clean up!!
The people were friendly and helpful in the office. We were told that we had to float with them if we were staying at the campground but what they didnt say was that you had to choose the 8 or 16 mile float. it would have been more economical to rent the campsite directly from Echota Village. Also, we had to get our own paddles from the bin, the raft was unloaded but we had to drag it to the river ourselves, and the reentry point is kinda gross. It is in a cove that is stagnant and there was no one there to get the raft and oars when we landed.
By far the worst experience on a float trip. People were nice but the big issue is they tell you to look for a sign at the end that points you into a SWAMP area and let me tell you trying to paddle into a swamp filled mud hole when you and everyone in your group are tired and want to be done really sucked.
Great experience and genuinely nice people, but bad kayaks were given to us. If you use their kayaks or rafts, expect having to empty out atleast 2-3 gallons every 1 mile, and thats not an exaggeration its literal. The patches on the hulls of the blue kayaks leak which causes them to intake roughly about 2-3 gallons of water in a short period of time.
Lots of float options. So much fun and easy sailing. Worth the time and effort
Had a great time
It was awesome best time Ive had in 15 years even though the water was a little low my family loved it
I would not stay at this place again. The reservation was incorrect right off the bat. Took quite a while to get it all straight, but eventually did.The bus driver was great! The float was very quiet and slow moving. Some may prefer this, but I enjoy more ppl.Too many trees and hard to maneuver through the last leg of the float. When we finally reached the end, the water was disgusting at the cove you have to come in.The bunk houses themselves were fine, standard sleeping bunks.
Me and my best friend did tube floats today. And we had to walk down the drive to get in the water and it was so muddy i had to take my shoes off and then the people at the front office didnt tell us which way to go when we got in the water ... and then when we called to pick us up they told us a total different spot and the guy seen us but didnt say anything so we had to call them again. Worst place i have ever floated at on the river..
Kinda dingy, nonetheless a very fun experience. Our group did the 8 mile route in about 3 hours. If you have someone to act as a steerer, it helps significantly. Service was minimal as there was no need for it.
This place rocks the river for all your festive activities. Bring the whole family out and enjoy your time floating the beautiful Illinois River or jamming out to live local music camp outs. Nice check in, friendly rates, excellent vibe.
We go every yr here!
Super friendly staff, great prices, and absolutely beautiful trip on the kayak! We did the 13 mile trip it took us almost 7 hours, had a blast!
Friendly staff, good equipment, decent prices. Went here with some family and we all had a great time. The part of the river we went on was beautiful and had a nice flow to it. Would use Falcon Floats again. Had ice cream for sale too which was a fun way to end the excursion.
Kinda small n camping grounds were underwater whn I got there. But ppl were cool. We had fun got drunk as hell. But had NO problems wit anyone there. Very friendly n AWESOME ppl. Wld b 5 stars except its small n camping grounds dont hav good way to drain off water.
They were all very nice and helpful. They are also one of the only places In the area that will shuttle you and your own floating canoe/kayak up the river, for a fee of course, but I tried 2 other resorts and they didnt offer that service. Also there is plenty of space for camping and hammocks. Every spot had trees close enough to hang them. The only thing we didnt like was the house across the street had rosters, so you better know youre getting up with the sun whether you like it or not. But it was entertaining.
Super nice people! We had a Blast!
DO NOT GO HERE. There are no reservations he just informed me on the phone the day before they like to have all floats out by 11 but last trip out was at 1pm. We arrived at 1030 2 adults 4 teenagers had never floated this river before. The lady at the counter did not have time to answer questions or give any advice about the river. There are 2 main splits and to the right onboth splits i would consider for more experienced kayakers. She shoved papers at me and was hearding us out like cattle so quickly. Nobody informed us of the path to take or any of the ebbs and flows in the river. We loaded on the bus they drove us to our destination got our kayaks down and pulled them to the river. One of the life jackets had no buckles at all to strap it onto a human body. As they begin walking away 1 of the men turns and says do u know where you going i reply no he said its a big sign with an arrow pull in there and walked off. They more we floated and figured out for ourselves the more frustrated i was with the care and service tbey provided. You are paying a VERY similar amount and i am very confident you get better service elsewhere. Also, if you are from Southeast OK dont waste ur time with this river as Broken Bow is more enjoyable. However Falcon Floats can not control the river its self only how they present the experience.
Great service they always respond to u and leave u feeling safe on river
It was a good time and the folks there were really nice. Cant wait to it again!!
Great place to unwind float the river and awesome fireworks display
Fun floating down the Illinois river rafting
The people are really nice and helpful! I had a wonderful time on the river!
The best place to stay on the river !!!We had 50 people in our group. The set up of the bunkhouse and huge kitchen was great. The owners were so nice and helpful. And then each night we got to enjoy the band, which was awesome. Perfect place for partyers and families with kids too. This is going to be our place to stay on the river on our annual float trip from now on.
Had an amazing time and great bands
It was muddy at the end and it got on everything. But the trip and customer svc was awesome
Float was fun because it was with my family other then that the raft had a hole, the kayaks where busted on the bottom and the apoxy didnt hold well at all which made them fill with water, and the canoe had a hole and filled with water. They ladies behind the counter are snooty and rude I would not and will not recommend this company I should have listened to the reviews I read this place is horrible about the money not your safety
Had a party of 17,reserved 5 rafts, but was only given 4.Drop off spot sucked, but over all, the 13 mile float trip was Amazing. They were real patient with us,we ended up being late to arrive and then didnt get off the river until after 9pm,again, staff was Super Patient.Highly Recommend
Most affordable floats great people nice camping grounds
The 8-mile float took us 5.5 hours and we did way more paddling then we wanted, stopping twice to swim and relax. On top of the length, a stiff south wind and the water being low made the float longer than we wanted. I recommend the 4-mile float with plenty of stops to relax. Didnt like the end where you can barely see the sign with the arrow pointing you into stagnet and muddy water to the back of their facility. Dont step out into the water at the end! Otherwise, no major issues. Might try another place next time.
Weve been going here for years, and we have had nothing but good times. We have only had one issue ever during our stay, and the staff was incredibly understanding and worked with us to resolve the issue. Please do not try to be sneaky and bring glass containers.
Nice place, with a nice pool. Bathrooms are a little small. Nice to have local bands playing this weekend.
Had an amazing time looking forward to coming back
Great place to have lots of fun
Always have a good time
Cheaper price, but you get what you pay for as far as rentals go.
Best place to float ever
Dont go there. Period.
Fun time they seem to be a little unorganized that could cause issue but were freindly we will be back .I would recommend calling and reserve what ya want with improvment to organization and facility good be 4 or 5.
Disgusting place. Smelled like sewer
We took the 8 mile float yesterday. Right near the end, a big tree had recent fallen, it caused treacherous water and we got flipped over. We lost everything, included my $250 car keys (which I shouldnt have taken). While we were trying to figure out how to get home, a daughter or granddaughter went with them to try to move the tree, before anyone else got hurt. She went diving, and found my keys and brought them to us!!!! They let us use their phones, hang out in their air conditioning, put my phone in a bag of rice to dry it out, and risked their own safety. They are wonderful people and they took great care of us!!
Good prices and the crew was cool. Would have gave it 5 stars but the trash trailer allowed for run off into the the landing point making for a kinda nasty landing
We stayed in the cabins, which fit our family of four perfectly! We were close to the river for swimming and enjoyed our float trip. Best of all, there was a pond nearby and our kids caught over 25 fish in an hour!
I grew up on this river. This is a terrible location and way over priced. I advise you to look for a prettier camp site thats closer to the river. But, the service was friendly and the outdoor swimming pool was refreshing.
Good place to camp - Owner was very accomodating
Other than the water being low it was very fun! Would do again.
Great place for fun. Music is always good
