Love this park. Mainly used to walk my dog around. Had two really special encounters with the sea life that I will never forget. We take the Granddaughter there these days
There were crabs, maybe fish further out, and one lone seal bobbing about in the water. It was beautiful. I like the location of it, by the train tracks and the ship port. I would definitely recommend coming here, old or young.
A beautiful spot amongst the busy Tacoma waterfront. Easy to find parking, definitely recommend for a quiet stroll!
Aside from the trash and weirdos hanging out its a very peaceful and beautiful place to relax or eat a quick bite.
Beautiful park that has had lots of history.....great view of Mt. Tahoma. Great view of ships and waterway. Definitely, a place to visit in Tacoma.
Really nice park but could use some maintenance due to vandalism. I really likes the view of the water.
Always so clean! Love it here!
Love walking my dog, & watching the boats.
Quiet small view park, tucked away under an over pass. Looking out on the industrial water front.°°°No trash receptacles. °°°No restrooms. No playground equipment for children.°°°Open front and dock. °°°Can be quite chilly°°°NOTE°°°{ Safety Info } There is usually a °°Police Officer Present°° sitting in their vehicle. Just around the fence corner, beyond the line of sight at the end of the parking spaces.
I visit there often.Love the View
It was windy but I enjoyed it
Homeless and drug users in the parking lot. Recommend not taking your children to the area. Fishing areas/docks are clean.
It is a beautiful place to go. One negative thing... the picnic tables are so dirty, that you cant really even use them. They all look like they havent been cleaned or even hosed off for months.
Right along the waterfront, beautiful panoramic views, small area tucked away.
It was a refreshing breath of fresh air and the change of pace.
Beautiful day today
Pretty little park on a gray day
Went for a breath of fresh air
Cool spot on the water with picnic tables
Cute, clean, polished little park right beside downtown tacoma. lots of parking for a sunny saturday, which was a welcome relief. theres a small walkway beside a grassy knoll, and a long dock you can go down. small beach, large enough for a kayak launching point. thankfully there arent any playgrounds, so not as many kids :) also half of the parking is under a bridge, and there are a few people who smoke pot here...just sitting in their cars or just enjoying the day, but smoking pot. if that offends you, maybe not check out this park.
Nice view, interesting signs, and pretty clean.
View of the bay is really great, and its clean.
It was beautiful, Especially on a Chris Sunday morning when its still cold out but the Suns coming out and you see the do all on the grass and leaves, its breathtaking.
Perfect quiet place to relax and enjoy the view.
This is my pups favorite place to play. Geese to chase and set off from the street, beautiful views for me to enjoy and FANTASTIC for photos of my pups playing. :-)
Beautiful view from the docks!
Nice place to walk to and hang out.
Beautiful and not packed
ALWAYS A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT! Plenty of room to walk and peaceful
This park is just beautiful!
Nice quiet park to watch the boats and hang out on a lunch break
A nice place to take a stroll along the waterfront and Dock Street.
Nice park to visit but the parking is tight good place for lunchOnly bad thing I can say is the homeless crowd is moving in
I thought this was a really nice clean park. Several older folks sitting in lawn chairs in the shade reading the newspaper. Pretty quiet.
I love this park. Small but a great place to fly.
Usually a quiet place for a walk.
Because sometimes you need to clear your head and its come and Serene and peaceful!!
It would be a good place to launch my kayak, but there are always people parked in the loading zone. Cops never ticket them
Me and my best friends favorite location in ALL of Tacoma Wa can get kinda overly crowded quick there but not as much as the other parks there.
This is an Awe inspiring special place by land or sea Theas Park is one of Tacomas finest vistas. Treat yourself to our shores natural beauty, fresh sea air and Tacomas friendly easy going pace .
Found this hidden gem while looking for a place to eat my sack lunch. I enjoyed watching the boats exiting/entering the jetty, exploring the names and dedications on the bricks near a giant metal globe (by the flagpole,) and watched an old man and a boy make a boat out of driftwood and set it afloat, at the small beach area (rocky, not sandy, but with access to the water.) Took a walk past the pier and around the office complex by the water, back through the parking barn, where I found a free book kiosk, and found a good book to read. The whole area was very clean, with just a few people.
Beautifully hidden space
Nice waterfront park with mountain view and small rocky beach access.
It was a fun day to visit and be with family. The maritime festival was neat
On this beautiful day absolutely amazing, lots of good parking, cool breeze, fun fun outrigger canoe racing event for the host Kikaha and guests,. Water a bit choppy, but with slightly windy westerly wind making the event more exiting
Its nice and shady. Theres a pond with Lily pads. There is a meandering trail with trees.
Good place to spend a couple of hours
When you live by the water, get to it. This is a good spot year round.
The best spot for the 4th of July. Take the whole family and enjoy the park
Great area to relax in. Nice picture spot as well
Great View!
Just peaceful
My safe place to think under the great red white and blue
BEST SPOT TO LAY LOW WITH A BOMB SECENARY. ONLY THING IS THAT THE CLOSE AT DUCK POLIEH
I came here for a big last day of school celebration, and it was amazing
Yay
Great place to get stoned for lunch.
This is where I go to recharge
Nice place to stop and watch the boats go by.
Very cute, small park. Note for 4th of July Fireworks Viewers - This is NOT a good spot to view the Freedom Fair fireworks! Youll be able to see lots of fireworks shows going on around you, but its too far away to truly enjoy them.
Favorite spot in Tacoma! Love chillin here just kicking back being cool, ya know?
Great view of the sound from here! A nice quiet place if you work downtown to come and take your lunch at, or just lay out a blanket and enjoy a summer afternoon in the sun! Nice little park tucked away under the road. Very enjoyable!
Not too crowded, even for memorial day. A few pick nic tables to at and plenty of parking.
The best park in Tacoma!!!
Usually a nice quiet spot even on weekends.
Great place for a short walk a quick picnic and awesome views of the industrial port.
Its a koool little park I guess
Pretty small and neat, 8/10 would recommend
Great park right on the water off dock st.
Quiet, clean harbor view.
No personal facilities.
Quiet little park. Very small. But it’s a chill place for locals to hang out at.They are CLOSED after sunset.
Side trip to Tacoma while vusiting Seattle. I was not impressed and I would not recommend it.
First time ever going there, the view was amazing and the dedication beautifully done.
This is a chill grassy park overlooking the bay, a small beach access point, and a regular batch of casual skateboarders. Its a bit out of the way, so its usually quiet. Parking is easy, and many spots are covered by the low-usage overpass from Dock Street.
Small park, but a great getaway for an hour or two.
Its cooler when there are people drumming there
Beautiful view of the water and boats.
This place was awesome
Huge Globe..its awesome!
Nice quiet spot with free parking, water view and sloping access to put in a kayak or canoe. Dont tell everyone.
Wonderful views of Commencement Bay, relaxing walkable, area. Close to several Tacoma notable attractions!
Lovely small park in the waterfront in dowtown Tacoma.
